The 8th grade band (which, of course, I'm in this year) goes to Chicago every year. Usually they go to Medieval Times, but this year, after a vote of hands, we're going to watch the Blue Man Group (<3) and also watch Yo-Yo Mah (sp?). I'm not sure when we're going, but I can't wait :3
Also, every year we go to Band-O-Rama, where all the bands in theee... county, I think, all play one of their festival songs. This year, we're going to play our percussion ensemble piece, Jared Spears' "Mosaics", too =]

Wow, our band seems to be a lot different.
September through early November is marching season for us. We play at the Homecoming parade and Vet's day parade, as well as all the home football games. (haven't been to playoffs in years so...)
Then we switch over to concert season just in time to have music down for the Christmas concert. Concert season goes from November until April. (during December, Jan, and Feb we have Basketball Pep band, but it's optional)
In April we have marching season again, to prepare for the Memorial Day parade. Nothing happens during summer.
Jazz band is all year and optional. On Hold (the try-out group) meets before school every day, Jazz II meets after school tuesdays and thursdays.

We have marching season from July to November (Band Camp starting in July) and concert season from November to May, or the last day of school, whichever comes first. We're still deciphering whether or not we'll do Jazz band during marching season or not because most the kids don't show up all the time so we're not as good as we could be. We also do Solos and Ensembles during concert season.

We do two different things, yearly. They're every two years.
Next year, we're going to Disney in Orlando. For a week, and we're going to Disney, Universal Studios, and a bunch of other stuff that I can't remember. Then the year after that , we're going to Chicago. And it just repeats itself. So, I get to go to Disney twice.
