Wembembe wrinkled his nose, the tip of his tail flicking back and forth as he tried to absorb what his brother was telling him. Truthfully, he didn't know much about being a god, despite the fact that he was one. He knew he could be called, drawn to areas where he was needed, and he knew what sorts of powers he had. But as far as the big questions like 'can a god die', he really hadn't the slightest clue. That made the thought of his brother being hunted for his mother's feathers all the more strange (and a little worrying).
"Huh. Well… I dunno anything about feathers, but I'll ask around. Maybe feathers are powerful?" Man was he ever glad he didn't have feathers. Insect wings for the win. "I talked to Sura recently, so maybe I'll go back and see if he knows anything. But I'll keep in touch. If the gods know anything about Mom I'll come and tell you myself. And if you have any information just uh…"
He paused to consider the best way to get his attention. Finally, he grinned and said, "Get all your cubs together and try to teach them all something hard. That should be good enough to call me."

Habu's nose wrinkled when Shani pointed out that his feathers had been taken, and he made an effort to glance to his own ear but it wasn't terribly successful. He looked back to Wembe when he spoke on the subject.
"One feather was from a friend, another god, and the other was from mom," he explained, frowning slightly, "I don't know that they had any real power but they were meant to be some physical sign of a connection." He shrugged. He didn't know what use the feathers would be to a stranger, unless they did have some actual connection to their owner. Then it might have been used to find his mother.. a random attack would be one thing but stealing feathers did seem more meaningful. He looked at Shani worriedly, then back to Wembe, nodding as he explained how to get in touch. It did bring a small smile back.
Shani pressed against her mate gently as he explained about the feathers, knowing he was getting increasingly worried about it. And now he wouldn't easily push it from his mind, he'd be worrying until they knew. But she understood.
"I don't know that we can find more than you, but we'll do what we can," she said, nudging at Habu gently as he stayed silent now, "And whatever happens, I'm sure all the kids would be happy to meet you- all of you."

Two god feathers eh? Things just got more and more peculiar. Hopefully Sura would have some kind of answer for him, lest he have to actually puzzle the thing himself. Man he wished his mom were here. Not only would she have known what to do, being here would solve the whole thing all together! But life was never that simple, and Wembembe filed all the information Wahabu and Shani had told him about the mysterious attacker, the missing feathers, and their missing mother.
"Gotcha. I'll see if Sura wants to stop by too! I'm sure he'd love to mess with- I mean, tell the kids all kinds of interesting stories." The god grinned, before getting to his feet and giving his wings a warm up beat. "I'll go see what I can find. Be safe until I come back, okay? I wanna hang with my brother more, you know?" With a small incline of his head to Shani, he said, "It was a pleasure meeting you!" Then, with a flick of his wings, he lifted off, headed for the god haven.
Hopefully somebody would have answers.

He nodded to show he agreed with Shani saying they would do whatever they could. He certainly would be trying to think of- or see- something.
"You're always welcome to visit, all of you," he said with a nod, "We're not hard to find. We hope to see you again soon." He watched as Wembe went off to find the answers to all the questions they had come up with. He turned to Shani and couldn't help but frown. He was worried now.
Shani smiled at Habu and nuzzled him reassuringly, though there wasn't much for her to say now. So she just stood there with him for a moment before nudging him to turn them around. They would go back home, it was for the better right now.
"Come on," she murmured.
