Hyuuga AtsurekiAkatsuki| Hyuuga Clan | Genin Atsureki's eyes widened in confusion as Sai slipped into the shadows. Atsureki's brow furrowed as he looked from side to side, what did Sai mean when he said "force it out of you"? Falling into a defensive stance, Atsureki began inching slowly backward as he tried to ready himself for whatever came next.

Konaga SaiAkatsuki Leader| Konaga Clan | Sannin Silence filled the cave as Atsureki inched backwards, the soft movement of pebbles scratching beneath his feet as he moved into a defensive position. Sai was easily able to maneuver within the shadows, jumping from one to another as he came to one directly behind Atsureki. With his hand still on his blade, Sai suddenly lurched forward, removing the Shadow Blade from it's sheath as Sai ripped through the shadow, emerging out of it like one would through a waterfall, slicing at Atsureki's right arm as he passed by.
Almost immediately, Sai returned the blade to it's sheath once more, his body fading into another shadow directly in front of Atsureki, as he haulted his shadow assault ability prematurely 1/3 of the way through the technique. whispers then arrived from all around Atsureki, as the shadows began to echo Sai's words as he spoke through them to guide the young Hyuuga... "Make no mistake, failure in the real world means Death. No one cares if you're ready or not."

Hyuuga AtsurekiAkatsuki| Hyuuga Clan | Genin Atsureki lurched forward as he was struck by Sai's blade, crying out in pain as the steel ripped through his flesh. Atsureki looked to the shadow's, shock and confusion equally mixed on his face at Sai's words. Rising to his feet Atsureki began moving around more carefully this time, moving his head from side to side as he tried to find Sai, but it was hopeless. His fists tightened in anger and fear, why is Sai doing this, would he really kill me?! I don't want to die! I can't die... not now!
There was only one way he would be able to make it through this alive, the byakugan. But how could he activate it when he had never been taught! Sweat beaded down his forehead as he continued to move about aimlessly, hoping for some kind of sign to Sai's presence, though he knew there wouldn't be one. I know that the byakugan is a doujutsu, one that only members of my clan can unlock, but how do I do it!, Atsureki thought to himself desperately. He forced chakra into his eyes, hoping that by doing so he would activate the byakugan, but nothing happened. What was he missing!

Konaga SaiAkatsuki Leader| Konaga Clan | Sannin Sai had slowly been circling Atsureki, jumping from shadow to shadow patiently as he watched him look around aimlessly as if it would help. He could notice the clenched fist and rise in emotion... both things that Sai would have to beat out of him eventually. They created weakness and inconsistency in battle and needed to be controlled. "One step at a time..." he thought to himself. Coming around directly in front of him, Sai could see the sweat begin to bead down Atsureki's face as he faced the challenge.
Focusing chakra into his palm, Sai pushed forward as a glob of shadow was launched forward directly into Atsureki's eyes. Following up quickly, Sai performed a Shadow Strike, leaping out of the shadows as Atsureki was blinded, slashing at the opposite arm that he had hit previously. Sheathing his blade once more, Sai performed a single hand seal just as the globule of shadow would be disappearing as he melded back into the shadows, hiding from regular sight. His voice then rang out from the shadows all around Atsureki again..."What's the point of being scared? You have the ability to see me... just use it. Stop trying to see me, and know that you can."

Hyuuga AtsurekiAkatsuki| Hyuuga Clan | Genin Atsureki cried out in pain as he felt the Sai's blade cut through his other arm. His breathing came out in labored breaths, a combination of fear and pain. Blood flowed freely down Atsureki's arms, soaking into his long sleeves and dripping on the ground. He stared at the ground, his eyes wide, his long black hair hiding his face. He was going to die, Sai was going to kill him... he would never see that world that they had spoken of, he would never see Haseo freed from his burden... he would never see anything.
NO!, Atsureki screamed in his head,I won't let it end like this! I won't die blind! He continued to stare at the ground while trying to see beyond the limits of his vision, trying to tap into the power of his blood. He was the descendant of a long and proud line of Hyuuga! He would not die without a fight, he would live to see the world reborn! His eyes grew wide, his teeth clenched in concentration. He clenched his fists with such force that his knuckles grew white.
His vision began flashing back and forth from his regular, limited vision to the strange all encompassing sight of the byakugan. But each time his eyes gained that extraordinary perception it sent pain lancing through his head, as if it was too much information for him to handle all at once. I won't let something as insignificant as pain keep me from that world!, Atsureki thought to himself as he began pouring chakra into his eyes, letting it seep into the area surrounding them. His vision continued to flash back and forth, how could he maintain it what was he doing wrong!

Konaga SaiAkatsuki Leader| Konaga Clan | Sannin"Fear is a weakness, a crutch for people who are unable to cope with a situation. People say that fear is an instinct meant to protect, but it does nothing but hold people back from their potential." Sai didn't know what was running around inside the Genin's head, but it was no concern to him either. either he would stop the next strike, or receive a critical injury. Life wasn't kind, and Sai believed that failure had true consequence, and training was no different.
Gripping the hilt of his shadow blade tightly, Sai performed a single hand sign as he removed his Shadow Blade, melding out of the shadows behind Atsureki, seemingly tearing through the fabric of reality itself as he brought the blade high into the air and stabbed down towards Atsureki's shoulder. Sai wouldn't kill him with such a strike, nor would he kill anyone he was trying to train, but if it was not blocked, it would certainly wound him badly. The only way he would be able to see the attack would be to activate the Byakugan and see him either still in the shadow, or behind him as he was merging out.

Hyuuga AtsurekiAkatsuki| Hyuuga Clan | Genin As the blade came down at Atsureki's shoulder, his whole body seemed to relax and then in one swift motion he spun his body out of harms way, while positioning himself in such a way that he was in a position to strike at Sai. "I SEE YOU!", Atsu cried out, his voice a mixture of jubilation and indignation as he brought his lunged at Sai with his middle and forefinger. Sai would be able to see that the veins around his eyes were bulging out, his stark white eyes showing his exhilaration at his success.
It was in fact Sai's words that had held the key to unlocking the power of his blood. One word actually, instinct. Atsureki had been trying to force his eyes to see, as if he were trying to force his heart to beat. But now he realized that the byakugan was like any other part of his body, it was as natural to use the power as it was to breath. Forcing his body to do what it would do naturally only lead to the power locking up, as if it were a defense mechanism against improper use. A genetic barrier that kept hyuuga clan members from unlocking this mighty power before they were ready.

Konaga SaiAkatsuki Leader| Konaga Clan | SanninJust as his blade was making it's descent, sai was pleased to see that Atsureki had indeed seen him as the young Genin spun around, revealing the veins around his eyes as the dotted circles appeared around his pupils. As his blade sailed harmlessly down past Atsureki, he noticed that the boy had decided to strike as well, throwing his middle and forefinger forward in what Sai could only assume was a strike at his tenketsu with the Hyuuga bloodline's Jyuuken technique.
Not really feeling up to see what the effect of sealing off one of his Tenketsu would mean to his body, Sai quickly turned his body, thrusting his left arm forward to catch Atsureki's wrist, which he did easily, redirecting it away from him as he held it which as much force as he could, which for Sai, was not that much at all. "Wonderful eyes you have there Atsureki... tell me, what do you see?"

{{Note, you've never seen anyone else with your Byakugan, but I would imagine that Sai's chakra signature is incredibly unique, and obviously very strong. You might even describe it as 'violent' or rigid compared to others, which would be accurate to what his bloodline causes... and unlike others, who only have chakra moving through their chakra circulatory system... every cell in Sai's body is infused and saturated with chakra. I would imagine that this would make the tenketsu somewhat harder to distinguish, though it's obviously still possible.}}

Hyuuga AtsurekiAkatsuki| Hyuuga Clan | Genin Atsureki was not terribly surprised that Sai had managed to parry his strike aside, it would hardly be worth learning from him if he could be struck so easily. Looking up at Sai, Atsureki's face was a mix of confusion and awe. "Your body... it, it glows with chakra. I can see my own chakra, but it is nothing compared to yours, your tenketsu are barely visible behind the glow. I was taking a shot in the dark really when I attempted to strike at you. But your chakra also seems... wild? As if it's trying to break free of its vessel", Atsureki said, bewildered by the sheer amount of chakra that Sai seemed to posses... it was amazing.
 "Nothing hides from these eyes..." (it will be interesting training to strike at Tenketsu with a Konoga as my target, i'll be able hit others tenketsu with ease if I can manage to hit yours)

Konaga SaiAkatsuki Leader| Konaga Clan | SanninSai already knew a large portion of what the Byakugan could do from the memories he had stolen from the Hyuuga master, but he was impressed that they could so accurately describe his own chakra. "Don't expect to see it in anyone else. As far as I've seen, I'm the only person to have abilities like this and it is singularly unique to me. My chakra is both a blessing and a curse... it surges through me and I have capabilities far beyond most, but I pay the price of power in pain which I feel at all times."
Releasing Atsureki's arm, Sai placed his blade back into the sheath behind his hip as he held out his arm, igniting it in the chakra of his bloodline as he continued to speak... "Essentially, my chakra is limitless, but there comes a time when my body cannot handle the stress of the overflowing chakra and I, for lack of a better word, go into a fit. I must warn you, if you ever see me do this, do not approach me, or try to help me in any way, or you'll more then likely die." Releasing the chakra from his arm, Sai winced in pain as small blackened lines appeared through his arm, showing a degree of chakra burn as a wave of pain flowed over his arm and throughout his body.
"That's enough about me however... we need to train those eyes. Right now, as I'm sure you can tell, your visual range is limited, but by the time you're a Jounin, you'll be able to see for miles in all directions. I want you to push your limits daily... we need you to mature quickly. For now, I actually have a plan in mind for both of us. I've been thinking of a few new techniques of my own. You're going to train your Jyuuken and Byakugan techniques as I train in my own. take a look at that scroll and decide what you want to learn, and we'll work on it together."

{{That's a good point. Be sure to note that as adding difficulty to learning techniques for now, but in the future, it will make it twice as easy for you to do.}}

Hyuuga AtsurekiAkatsuki| Hyuuga Clan | Genin Atsureki nodded as he took the scroll in hand and opened it, looking over the jutsus of his clan. As he did so he released the byakugan, it was amazing how simple it seemed to be able to control the power now, like it was almost second nature. As he deactivated his doujutsu he couldn't help but feel more vulnerable, going from 360 degrees of vision back to regular sight felt almost unsafe, as if without warning he could be attacked from his many blind-spots. A slight shudder rushed through Atsureki at that moment, he would have to work to become less vulnerable even without the byakugan.
Sighing slightly Atsureki moved back to the task at hand, picking a technique to learn. It became clear almost immediately, he would of course need to learn the true forms of Jūken rather than what he had learned to mimic from watching his father. Looking up at sigh with an almost apologetic grin Atsureki said, "Well I suppose the first thing I'll need to learn is the true forms of Jūken, I imagine the rest of the techniques build off of the basics of my clans taijutsu style."
 "Nothing hides from these eyes..." (kk, I'll be sure to keep that in mind, should it actually affect the number of posts to learn the techniques or should it just be an rp thing? also I was thinking of trying to come up with a taijutsu style for Jūken which would of course incorporate all the hyuga techniques into the actual style as techniques to be learned before one can proceed to the next stage of the style, what do you think? And should something like that count against the normal limits of taijutsu styles for the various classes, or should it be like how bloodline/clan jutsus don't usually count against the total number of jutsu allowed for a class?)

Konaga SaiAkatsuki Leader| Konaga Clan | Sannin"Indeed they do. The techniques of the Jyuuken style branch from the basics of chakra control and release. Most people are only able to project their chakra from certain points on their body, but the Jyuuken trains a Hyuuga to release it from all parts of their body and devastatingly so. For now, simply try to hit my tenketsu with focused blasts from your fingers or palms. I will avoid and deflect what I can while training in my own abilities."
Sai backed up a few feet and wondered how he might do this. He had been wanting to develop a technique for a long time which had since alluded him due to mastery over his secondary element. Perhaps now however, the training would be possible. the first step would be shaping the chakra to a point where it was so sharp that it could practically tear the air itself apart, leaving room for a channeling of wind energy and chakra into a rift which would create an amplified affect which would travel outward with devastating repercussions. He had envisioned the technique over a year ago, but had never been able to achieve it. perhaps now however, it would be possible. [Training - Kaze no Kizu 1/11]
[Chakra Point Total: 197/240]
{{Well, it still requires a taijutsu slot for you to learn, but it's a style that only Hyuuga have access to, which is the advantage of being a Hyuuga. I would agree with making the actual style. If you want to get started on it and submit a draft, I can work on it with you. As to the Konaga/tenketsu thing, I think it would just be an RP idea.}}

Hyuuga AtsurekiAkatsuki| Hyuuga Clan | Genin Atsureki nodded before walking a few paces away and setting the scroll down. Turning to face Sai, Atsureki fell into the stance described in the scroll, right arm held away from the body, palm forward facing the opponent, while the left arm was cocked at the side, palm facing up. He positioned his right foot forward and held it slightly to the left, while his left leg was held back, bent slightly at the knee to hold the majority of his weight on his back foot.
Taking a deep breath, Atsureki turned his back foot so that it was perpendicular to his body and launched himself forward, activating his byakugan as he did so. Sai stood there burning like a fire, his chakra points barely visible behind the glow. Catching a small glint of what appeared to be more focused chakra at the joint that connected Sai's shoulder to his torso, Atsureki thought to himself, that must be it!
Atsureki threw his left arm forward and up to attempt to block any incoming attack from that side, while he launched his right middle and forefinger at Sai's chakra point. But just as he threw his strike, the glow seemed to diminish, it was nothing more than a spike in Sai's violent chakra as it looked for away to escape his body. Damn!

Konaga SaiAkatsuki Leader| Konaga Clan | Sannin Though Atsureki had just awakened his Byakugan, he was still a Genin and a beginner at that. Sai would easily be able to dodge most, if not all of the attacks the young Genin would be able to produce with the combination of his speed, agility, and breadth of experience. More then anything else, this was an exercise to see if he could send the blasts of chakra from his palms/fingers as part of jyuuken and give him practice to find the tenketsu.
Leaning to the side effortlessly, Sai dodged the incoming attack as Atsureki's hand flew past his chest, bringing his right arm up to grab and psuh Atsureki's right shoulder, as he moved backwards, performing a single hand seal with that same hand, as he placed his left hand on the hilt of his Shadow Blade. Focusing on the blade, Sai channeled his chakra into the blade, adding his wind element to the chakra flow to make it sharp as he held the blade tight, drawing it from the sheath in a swift motion, not necessarily aiming for Atsureki at all, as the blade sailed not far from his back, the blue glow of the focused energy on the blade dissipating harmlessly as Sai returned the blade back to it's sheath. [Training - Kaze no Kizu 2/11]
"Hmmph, well adding the wind chakra is certainly easier now..." "There are 361 tenketsu points on the body... you need to distinguish them all and know how to cut the flow of someone's chakra off completely. If you can find them on me... they'll practically be glowing in the dark agaisnt others."

Hyuuga AtsurekiAkatsuki| Hyuuga Clan | Genin Atsureki stumbled to the side as Sai pushed him, his byakugan eyes widening as he saw the blade sail just a hairs breadth away from his back. If he had been an enemy I would be dead right now... I can't afford to remain this weak, Atsu thought to himself, setting his face in a determined grimace. Spinning his body to the right in order to utilize the momentum of Sai's push to his advantage, Atsureki positioned himself so that he was facing Sai once more.
Not wasting a moment Atsureki immediately pushed forward with his back foot, launching himself towards Sai. He used every second to study Sai, trying to find a way to determine the difference between one of his chakra points and the chakra that seemed to soak every part of the man's body. He thought about what he knew of the Tenketsu, comparing his own internal chakra coil with Sai's.
The internal chakra network moves throughout the whole body, each tenketsu is connected to another to allow chakra to flow throughout the body. Sai's chakra network is masked by the intense amount of chakra that pervades every part of his body, but there are certain parts of the body where chakra is produced that every human shares, most of them focused in the abdomen, Atsureki thought to himself, trying to gain some kind of insight from this knowledge.
All he could think to do was try and focus on Sai's abdomen and try and pin-point one of the Tenketsu there. He could see several points that seemed to glow brighter than the chakra surrounding them, however with the amount of chakra being produced it was hard to say what was a tenketsu and what was simply the man's violent chakra flaring up. How could he possibly tell the difference!
And then it struck him like a bolt of lightning, he could use his own body as a reference! The Tenketsu isn't exactly the same for every person no, but they are similar enough that he could use his own body as a kind of map to Sai's own chakra network. He could easily pin-point his own chakra points, the key was to match those up with Sai's own.
All this he figured out in the time it took to spin around and then launch himself toward Sai. He picked a point on his own body, and attempted to match it up with Sai's. There was a bright point of light, brighter than everything else. That's it!, Atsureki thought to himself as he threw his arm out towards Sai, straightening his middle and forefinger and pushing chakra through them to push into the tenketsu.
