Maponus lay beside Shylah for a long time, though he did not sleep like she did. Instead he was deep in thought, he was excited about the foals, albeit a little scared as well. But the Spirits had clearly thought they were ready for such a responsibility and therefore he knew all would be well in the end. After a while he decided it was time to return to the herd, he still needed to finish his conversation with Oisin and he was sure the elders would wish to speak more to him as well.

He carefully raised himself to his feet not wanting to wake Shylah and glanced up at Breckin in the branches above. "Let me know if she needs anything, Herne is just outside the grove." He told the owl in the soft voice, sure that even though Maponus couldn't understand the owl that the owl could understand him. With that he turned and left the small grove. And though his mind was on Shylah he knew there were duties to attend to, so that's what he set off to do.
