Oh wow. Thank you all so much for participating. The avatars are all awesome. o wo I don't know if this first round can ever be topped. XD
Ohhhhhhmph. You guys made this really hard to choose. Really really hard. x .x; I'm being picky here, but you guys are all so good that I'm being forced to be picky. > <
ynattirb; I like your use of grey. Sorry I didn't get back to you in time about the bra, but you were very resourceful. The thing that knocked you down was the size of the green boa. I think the head needs more green to balance it or smaller accessories needed to be used instead of the boa.
dreamish; Nice use of yellow. The goggles aren't that shade of yellow, but you used the items well. I don't look at the avatar and think, "Aahh the goggles stick out!" I think the wingding scarf thing adds a bit too much black to the tektek's head.
Kumi; Nice use of shoes. :} The shoes match pretty well. Problem is, there's not enough of the shoe color to balance it out. I look at the tektek and think, "Shoes! D: "
YourAzureGoddess; I like your incorporation of blue. I chuckled when I saw your avatar since I almost added those contacts to the avatar base. I didn't because I didn't want to restrict you guys too much. Nice use of layering and that cone is perfect. =D I like your use of that shade of blue. The socks and shirt are a very deep orange gold and the goggles are a softer yellow gold tan, but it doesn't scream nonmatching. Next time I'd probably like to see some of the gold tennis sock color at the head too. The legwarmers add a lot of blue, so more blue is needed at the head.
Amitia; Nice use of the soft yellow gold color. I like your use of the starter goth skirt layering. It's all layered nicely and matches rather well. I'd just like to see more white at the feet.
dreamish; Aaaaaahhh. I only just now realized that you made two entries. XD Uh oh. I made no rule against it so I'll keep going. It's much harder for me to put my thoughts into words when it comes to nonmatching. I think it's a good attempt. I like the pop of color the scarf pose of the tam beret brings. I like the use of the socks. I like the texture of the slippers. I don't quite like that they're slippers. XD; I think the biancamella pin clashes with the hairpin. They're both small dots of focused areas of color. I find that when two dots are too close to each other, they clash. Both items want to be the focal point, so my eye jumps from pin to hairpin to pin to hairpin. I think it'd be better without the biancamella pin. The hairpin is a nice touch. Since this isn't an overly simple avatar, I'd like to see more use of layering. Add shorts. Use earrings. Use tattoos. Add glasses. Don't overdo the layering, but fill up more space while still keeping the humanoid shape.
Jace Quin; Oh I know... I wish we had that option on tektek. I like your use of items. It's like a matching theme. I can picture her out in the deep wilderness, with a sntich snatched in hand. In tektek hand one, I'd like to see a green handheld. That area looks like it's missing green. I'd recommend shorts, but I think you'd lose too much brown if you did. I think it also needs just a smidgen more green at the head (something like Laurels).
fiifa; Very nice use of layers. I know I really limited you guys when I added the snug leggings. I'd just like to see more green at the feet though since the rest of the avatar has a lot more green. I'd like to see more brown in the face area (brown eye stripe tattoo or glasses, whatever would work). And the plumage and hair add a lot of white. Actually, maybe using a brown wig would have added both brown to the face and solved the white imbalance. *sigh* Brown wigs are hard to find in the right shade.
Ameana; Nice simplicity. The skin blends in very well. It is annoying when the skirt disappears and reappears as you add items to the tektek. I like your use of shoes. Problem is, I feel like the feet are missing the tan color and the warm yellow gold of the goggles. We really don't have many options to work with seeing as a gold anklet would probably overwhelm the tektek.
Ummm my eyes keep jumping back to the yellow avatar. Dreamish's entry #1 wins 5k. I'll put up a new base soon. For the record, here's how I finished out the tektek. I really liked the expression when I made it. I don't like the face as much now. =P http://www.tektek.org/avatar/34203034

Jace; Ooo~ I like the bright and obnoxious color scheme. You worked with teal and pink. Bold. Those are two hard colors to work with. Be careful with those accent colors. Your pumpkin and skunk added green, white and red that's not spread throughout the rest of the avatar. Orange sandals don't exist for guys, do they? I think they would have solved your dilemma.
Kumi; Six colors? Very nice. They're also spread rather evenly throughout the avatar. I know it gets tricky with that many colors, but I either would like to see a little more blue at the feet or less at the head.
JC; o: A post. Hmm normally I like to follow a rule of three, but I think two green "items" works here. The balance is a bit off. I'd like if you'd covered up more of the blue skin on the face or added more blue to the bottom. The bottom has been taken over by a large goldish skirt~
dreamish; It's all good. And, wow, I don't think I've ever used those gloves on a male base before. They're so tiny. o: Nice use of them so that the arms keep blue in that area. The large blue and white hat makes me realllly want to see orange in that area. @ .@
babs27; o: Another six color avatar. That white is sneaky. I really like the attempt. However, the avatar looks like it's mostly blue in the top half and mostly orange at the bottom. Orange is tough to work with, but I'd like to see more of it at the top and more blue at the feet.
Amitia; Ooo~ now this is what i think of when I think of a classic matching style. I'd like to see a bit more blue in the middle.
Logann; Ooo~ Yours doesn't quite matchin perfectly but it sure has presence. It looks like he's about to attack his enemy with water. The hair is an odd peach color, I think, matching-wise you would have been better off with the original hair. And, see how the water has that light blue quality? I would like to see that somewhere on the body, like as a shirt.
Sorry Amitia, you come in close second again. Kumi wins the 5k prize for spreading six colors so evenly. :]

I finished mine yesterday but I was hoping that someone would post before me. Now I'll just post it because I'm afraid I'll lose it if I don't. x'D I fought it with for a long time! D<
I also hope I won't be the only one to submit. o.o;;
So yeah, finally I decided to go for style, attitude and semi-matching instead of just pure matching, so that the poor matching wouldn't be the main point in the avi and hurt everybody's eyes. x'D
I like these challenges, it's not official competition and I don't have to pay to give it a try or dread the results. :3 Yet I can still work on my rusty Tek-Teking skills.
