Lucant was huddled in on himself once more when the vampire returned, but his eyes were wide. The King and Queen? His mother and father, was he really going to see them again. He shook his head and turned his face away, not wanting to believ in case it was another one of ther tortures. he curled into a tighter ball, and couldn't help but wish it really were true. He missed his mother's smile, his father's laugher and the feel of their love surrounding him. he trembled again and shook his head, telling himself to stop before he got his hopes up ((Want me to play one of the parents and you the other?))

Vane sighed and Sat next to the boy to wait. "Are you sure you don't want me to heal you?" He asked again a little worried about the boy. He took off his coat and put it on the boy's shoulders. "You are shivering." He looked at the boy and waited for the King and Queen. (Sure i will play the Queen.)

Lucant's eyes opened when he felt the warm coat fall on his shoulders and he turned his head slightly to look at the vampire. for the first time in a long time he wished he was able to speek, if only to say thank you to this strange man for freeing him. but soon his thoughts were sent skittering away when he heard someone coming. he buried his face against his knees and covered his head with his arms, terrified that the end of his little break for freedom was over and that he'd be punished even more severly for it. King Feton came out into the clearing, an eagle on his shoulder and he looked at the huddled bundle beside Vane, and not recondising him under the dirt and filth of the dungeon. He sighed and shook his head, "We will never be able to repay you for all you have done for us." he said softly, "Putting yourself at such risk to help our bretheren be freed from that place, please, i beg that you accept our invitation to stay here, in the ligh with us. We cannot bear to see you hurt for our sake anymore."Lucant's eyes widened and he froze, afraid that if he looked up the owner of the voice that had spoken wouldn't be who he thought it was and it would just be some cruel, sick joke.

She said moving closer to him.Vance shook his head and stood up. "Then i would not be able to help you anymore." He bow to them both. "I need to get back." He said before looking at the boy. "I wish you could tell me your name."

Lucant slowly lifted his eyes and looked up at his mother, still unable to believe it was real. King Feton gasped and hurried over kneeling before Lucant. "It's can't be" he whispered, his hand moving up to cup the boy's cheek. Lucant flinched at the touch, but otherwise remained still, his eyes locking with his father's. Tears filled Feton's eyes and slowly trickled down his cheeks, "My son." he whispered before pulling Lucant close into a tight hug, "My son-my son" he repeated over and over, rocking Lucant slightly.Lucant felt his own tears sliding down his cheeks as he realised that it was real. He was being held once more in his father's strong arms, his mother was there too, and he felt the walls he had built to protect himself dissolving. he let go of Vant's coat and slowly reached forward to clutch at his father's shirt, silent sobbs shaking his thin body

Queen Atana hugged him as well before grabbing Vane. "You brought our son back. You will most likely be killed. Please stay here?" SHe held on to him.Vane frowned. "Your the prince." He looked closer at the boy. "Your Lucant." He walked closer to the boy and dropped to his knees. "Why would you not let me help?" He passed out like he had done a few times before. Atana caught him. "They hurt him bad this time."She said softly brushing his hair out of his face." This young boy has done so much for us I hate how his family treats him.

Lucant's eyes widened and he used his personal sign language to inform his father that Vane's family knew he had freed him. King Feton nodded, "We have no choise then, Atana, could you carry Vane? He is no longer save within the vampire castle, not that he was safe before." he stood and lifted Lucant into his arms, "We will ask him to heal you when he wakens." he said softly when he heard his son gasp softly from pain. Lucan odded slowly and buried his face against his father's chest, breathing in the other's scent. Feton nodded, "Come, my love, we must return to our home"

Kill your senses You might be right Hold your fire I'll take you higher Never drop We'll never stop
~* Come with me children *~ Mikha had noticed the keys were missing first, so he had rushed to the prisoners cell, hoping to stop his brother from doing something foolish. He knew their father would not be happy with Vane for letting the prince of the light creatures go, probably would have one of them kill him for it. He knew that it would likely be him that was ordered to do so. He arrived at the cell and cursed softly when he found it empty. He ran back and told his father that the prisoner had gotten away thanks to Vane again. His father was pissed, and as predicted ordered that he find his brother and execute the 'traitorous disgrace'. He sighed and followed the trail his brother had left behind him, the guard at the gate had a guilty look, and he chose to ignore it-for now- though he did send an ice dart to the mans feet (purposely just missing it) to warn him that he would not get off lightly for it. He understood the mans reasoning behind helping his brother. He himself helped his youngest brother when the others went too far in 'disciplining' him. He reached the clearing in time to see his little brother taken away by the King and Queen of the Light creatures. He cursed out loud, as there was nothing he could do at the moment. He knew his father would not allow him back before he had done what he was ordered to, so he started to track them. He was sort of curious to know more about these creatures, as he hadn't involved himself much in torturing the boy, Lucant. He found more enjoyment in mentally breaking prisoners, so he had fewer opportunities to visit with their 'guest'. Silent prisoners aren't easily broken by mind-game-torture. He still was unsure whether he would actually be able to kill the 'baby' of the family. His kindness was a rarity among their kind, especially when it came to their family, and he did have a sort of soft-spot for the infuriatingly yet still adorable baby brother. Despite how much he exasperated the eldest sibling. Mikha's silvery robes and cloak made little sound as he followed behind the enemy King and Queen. His breath had stilled and he had completely sealed off his presence. It was a skill that he learned while training to be the perfect hunter. ~* Into the world of darkness and magic *~ Stare at someone You used to know Laughs at you Turns around and fade away If only I could see it that way

Lucant nodded to his her, a small smile on his face as he rested, safe in Feton's arms. King Feton shook his head, "Lucant, you shouldn't lie to your mother." he admonished softly, "We can both feel how brken you are inside." Lucant hung his head slightly but Feton smiled, "However the fact that you are trying to hide it is good." Lucant looke dup into his eyes curious, "It means you haven't changed much." he father said softly. they were running at top speed and soon arrived at their castle. Feton took them in through a side door and took them up to a room with two large beds. "Place Vane on the other bed, dear, he can rest safely here." he laid Lucant down and began to gently undress him, trying to see the exent of his damage. He had lifted Lucant's shirt only a fraction before he dropped it one more and turned to his wife, "You shouldn't see this..." he said softly, standing up and taking her hand, "Please, i need you to go. You won't be able to handle it if you see." he walked her t the door, "It'll be ok, i promise" he said, kissing her with all the love he felt

Queen Atana laid Vane down. "I agree. He can not go back there." She looked at him. Poor dear has been beaten. He is in pain." She looked over to her son. "I will let your father help you boys. I will be back later with some new clothes for you both." She kissed Feton back. "Take care of them both."

Lucant watched her leave, still half afraid this was all some sort of dream. When she had left, his eyes turned to his father, who sighed deeply. King Feton turned back to Lucant and sat on the bed beside him. "We are going to have to clean you up, my son" he said softly, lifting :ucant into his arms and carrying the other to the attached bathroom. he quickly stripped the boy and rage filled him at the horrendous scars and open wounds that lacerated his body. Many were slightly infected, and needed imediat care. he was very careful and gentle in his washing of Lucant, but still the boy would flinch at his barely there touches. Finally he had done everything he could, cleaning and bandageing the wounds, but he knew that Lucant needed a healer. He carried his ever silent son back to the bed and lay him down under the covers, laying down beside him and holding him until the boy slowly fell into a deep healing sleep.
Once he was sure Lucant wouldn't wake, he walked over to where Vane lay and sat beside him, "Vane, son, you need to wake up." he said softly, patting the vampire's cheek. "Come on, wake up for me so i can take care of you." he said, continuing to try and wake the sleeping vampire.

Vane slowly opened his eyes. He looked around in fear. "Where am I?" He asked before seeing King Feton. "Where am I?" He asked him. He then looked over at Lucant. "Is he alright?" He asked sitting up with a hiss of pain. "I am sorry that it took so long to get him out." He said to the king.

If there was one thing his people knew how to do, it was enjoying life. They saw the beauty of nature, lived in complete harmony with the world and everything in it. They felt the seasons and moved with them. And here they were now, paused in the warmth of the day. Some sang and danced and played instruments, while others cooked freshly caught animal.
Rhan was sleeping in his trailer. His soft bed seemed to swallow him, his sheets wrapped around his body. His eyes were closed, pale blonde lashes rested lightly against his pallid face. His lips were parted slightly, letting the flow of air run smooth. A blue cat was curled against his side.
Inside of his dreams he was sitting in his throne. A king in a world where everyone was was mortal. In a world where no one had any sort of ability. A king who ruled with an iron fist. An advisor turned his words. The people hated the king because of this. In the night, as he slept, someone came through the window. A knife caught and reflected the moonlight as it plunged into the king's chest.
Rhan cried out in his sleep. His back arched up, his fingers gripped the sheets as his eyes fluttered open, revealing their azure coloring. He panted quietly for a few moments as his pain subsided. The cat mewed at him with worry. He stroked the creature gently before inspecting his chest. On the spot where his heart hid, blood was smeared. It stained his white shirt and the bed sheets.
He untangled himself and changed, so as not to worry the people. He could smell the cooking spice and meat on the air. The cat lept onto his shoulder and curled around his neck. He exited the trailer and sat down near the festivities, next to some of them women who were sewing. Children came close to listen to old tales of lore from him. They loved his quiet, gentle sort of attention. He picked up some sewing that needed to be done. While he spoke he threaded a needle and began an intricate design on an old skirt.
"Once upon a time there was a prince who wanted to marry a princess; but she would have to be a real princess. He travelled all over the world to find one, but nowhere could he get what he wanted. There were princesses enough, but it was difficult to find out whether they were real ones. There was always something about them that was not as it should be. So he came home again and was sad, for he would have liked very much to have a real princess.
"One evening a terrible storm came on; there was thunder and lightning, and the rain poured down in torrents. Suddenly a knocking was heard at the city gate, and the old king went to open it. "It was a princess standing out there in front of the gate. But, good gracious! what a sight the rain and the wind had made her look. The water ran down from her hair and clothes; it ran down into the toes of her shoes and out again at the heels. And yet she said that she was a real princess. Well, we'll soon find that out, thought the old queen. But she said nothing, went into the bed-room, took all the bedding off the bedstead, and laid a pea on the bottom; then she took twenty mattresses and laid them on the pea, and then twenty eider-down beds on top of the mattresses. "On this the princess had to lie all night. In the morning she was asked how she had slept. "'Oh, very badly!' said she. 'I have scarcely closed my eyes all night. Heaven only knows what was in the bed, but I was lying on something hard, so that I am black and blue all over my body. It's horrible!' "Now they knew that she was a real princess because she had felt the pea right through the twenty mattresses and the twenty eider-down beds. "Nobody but a real princess could be as sensitive as that. "So the prince took her for his wife, for now he knew that he had a real princess; and the pea was put in the museum, where it may still be seen, if no one has stolen it." When he had finished the children begged him to tell another. His subtle little smile appeared and he began a new tale.

King Feton gently soothed Vane's hair. "It's ok, you are in our castle. you passed out in the clearing." he sighed, "I'm sorry, but you can't go back. They will kill you this time." he placed a hand on Vane's shoulder and looked ove athis sleeping son, "Never apologise for saving a life, my friends." he said softly, the fact that he was calling what was traditionally his enemy a friend was not lost to him, but it no longer felt strange. "I was hoping you might be able to heal him, but we have enough time before his infection worsenes for you to rest and heal." he looked back at Vane, "I am truely sorry you have lost your home because of us."
