Mischa nodded as she listened closely. "I doubt this is over then if so many have seen. I'll see what I can find out about everything from Asmo, Edward. Tell Hae I'll be back another day to have some tea with her. And give Tae my love."

The latter she smiled widely afterwards winking at Edward. "Come see me at the casino and have dinner. It's on me. All three of you."

Leaving them to deal with their other clients, Mischa frowned as she left the building. She had much to think about and as her car pulled away from the curb, Vinnie glanced back to see the same distracted expression on Mi's face. Something was definitely up.

((Mi's out until she learns something more since she's only had the first visit at this point.))

Stabbing the barely finished cigarette out on rather posh (and well chosen) wall across the street Cassandra stared at the shop across from where she stood. Her breathing slightly aggravated not only from the chemicals slowly rushing their way through her body, but also from the tingling sensation that ran up and down her spine as the Siren breathed deeply behind her. Its voice that was always tuneful was currently caught singing, something Cassandra might of enjoyed if she wasn't so very aware of what it meant. Although the daemonic beast was a mere shadow to the mortals that made their way past the journalist its voice was not so easily hidden and often someone one would take a second glance at Cassandra, locking eyes for that moment that made it extremely uncomfortable for the office girl.

"Please Siren, shhhs, I dont have time for this now. I need to talk to Mister Fauste."

The Siren giggled as her humming ceased, the caress of her shoulders showed Cassandra she would be quite for now, as she shivered at its touch.

"Thank you, please, lets go." She murmured trying to shake off the uncomfortable personal space issues the Siren seemed to display to her. Waiting for the rather expensive Limo to pull away Cassandra made her way across the road and into the building that had caught her interest all those weeks ago. Forgetting manner momentarily she open the door without a second thought, only remembering her strict upbringing as she walked in on the growing group of people in the room.

"Oh....oh am sorry, am I interrupting anything?" She enquired as she viewed each person in turn, each giving the same vibe she felt as the building, as if they had been tainted.

"Its just that...I really need to talk to you Mister Fauste, its about...well....you never said anything about more daemons showing up after I summoned this one." She half nodded behind her at the still giggling Siren, its long fingers pulling at the skin over its face as if it were a pretty accessory to show off to the new people.

[We're going to leave it there--sorry, guys, lost Edward's muse and now we're moving on. Matisha, if you want to continue, copypasta to a new thread? :V
-rw]

All she could think was that she needed to get there as fast as she could. Thankfully that time of the night there were few cars on the road and the ones that were were not law enforcement. Once she was away from the major highway, it did not take her long to stop in front of the shop.

It did not look entirely dark, but she glanced around at the street as she got out and walked towards the door. Of course it was dark out, a few lights here and there scattered.

"So much for staying out of shadows." she sighed. It didn't matter. She did not want him hurt.

Peering into the windows would do no good. She had been there enough times to know the windows were dark enough that little could be seen. Mi did not even try though it would have probably been the safer thing to do. What did safe matter? Someone she cared about was at risk. She could not stand by and just let it happen.

So she knocked. Rather she banged on the door. "I need to talk to Edward. Now." she growled, tapping the door again. Mi muttered under her breath. "I have to be in time. I just have to." Pounding on the door, she hesitated thinking she heard movement within. "Is someone there? I need to talk to Edward. Now."

"He's asleep," said a sepulchral voice. The door unlocked, and then opened; the woman behind it was skeletal, barely human in appearance. Her skin was dry, cracked, spread over obvious bones. "What is so important?" The smell--sulfur underlaid it, but much more overpowering was the scent of burnt offerings, the smells of spices and cooked meat. This person was not human; and yet, she seemed not to be a demon either. Her hair hung lankly over her shoulders--and her eyes were the same shade as Edward's.

"What is it you want? Shop hours begin at five."

Mischa stared at her and then brushed past her stepping inside. She shut the door quickly, latching it after glancing into the street again. The girl ignored the smells as she was getting used to smelling the sulphur. The rest just blended it better. Or worse sometimes.

"It's not safe outside. Probably not safe here either, but I want to see him. Now. And I know when shop hours begin. I don't care. I need to talk to him. He's the one she is aiming for this time. It's sooo not going to happen and he needs to know what I know. Now."

Mischa stared at the woman, tapping her foot impatiently, her voice even louder this time. She knew how to get attention though once she'd not have thought of even demanding as she was at this moment.

"Either you get him down here or I'll go up there. Or start yelling at the top of my lungs to wake him up. It's important or I'd not be standing here in my nightgown." Then she added for good measure, "I'm not taking no for an answer and if I have to call Asmodeus to get to Edward, I will. Now are you going to go get him or am I going upstairs myself?"

Martel gave her a baleful stare and turned to disappear into the stacks. She would not help someone so... rude. "Wake him yourself, then. Upstairs, second door on the right." And she faded into the stacks of books.

Upstairs was dark; oppressively so, in fact. The floors were hard wood, the walls covered in intricately detailed paper. The entire area screamed Victorian sensibilities. Off to the right was a small kitchen, and on a side counter a pot of coffee had begun to run. There was a box of poptarts open on the counter; the space gave an implication of someone having just left. In fact, if Mischa listened, there was the sound of running water...

The second door on the left was open a little bit, and if the redheaded woman looked inside--

Well, she did. And there was Edward, alive, breathing, unharmed--and asleep, shirtless, peaceful. His bed was small, wedged into the corner under a window; the rest of the room (it was so small!) held a dresser, with the top drawer slightly open, the sleeve of a sweater no one had ever seen him wear hanging out. On top of it, there was a line of photographs--

Edward, young, with two people who looked like his parents. Edward, a little older, with someone who looked like an younger Tae-yul and the woman downstairs. A picture of Edward bending down to kiss a dark-haired girl in a white sundress--Hae-min, maybe?

--and then a line of books, none of them with titles in a language Mischa could read. The walls were empty of decoration, and the rug on the floor had been rolled back to allow for a line of salt across the space.

He seemed oblivious to her entrance--just sleeping, blissfully unaware of the world.

"I'm sorry. It's just really important. A warning... " Mischa said softly and then was up the stairs and out of sight. She glanced around, but ended up staring as she looked over his room. The pictures made her smile for a moment. They were important to him.

He was alright. She could see that. Maybe she should leave. No. The princess had warned her. Sibyl was aiming for Edward this time. Perhaps outside and looking right down in at him. Or even planning to pull her little teleport trick into the room and kill him and be out before anyone even knew what was happening.

She had better waken him. Again she glanced at the window shaking her head. He needed to take better care of himself than this.

"Damnit.. right under a window." she muttered under her breath, moving over to try to shut the curtains.

"Edward. Wake up." she said, nudging him and trying to ignore the fact he was shirtless. "Edward... I said wake up." Mischa's hand pushed against his shoulder even harder. "I need to warn you... I need to talk to you. It's Mischa. Wake up."

Edward woke up without a jolt, just opened one eye and said, in a voice made hoarse by sleep, "Good morning, Mischa. To what do I owe the pleasure?" He didn't sit up for a moment, looking to the old-fashioned alarm clock on the tiny nightstand. "At two in the morning? Truly?"

The man didn't comment further, just sat up and made room for Mischa on his bed. "Warn me of what," he said patiently, patting the side of the bed nearest his pillow.

For a moment she stared, suddenly realizing he slept in nothing. Nothing at all. Thankfully the room was fairly dark and her blushing face more or less hidden. "Yeah.. right.. the warning.." she repeated, then shook her head to clear it before sitting down beside him.

"She showed up again. The princess.. She's the one that has been warning us. Kyrie said so. Said that Sibyl van Helsing had summoned her. And... sleeping with the curtains wide open and the house all dark.. Are you crazy? She can use that. Didn't Tae tell you about her? He knows. I sent Theros to tell him. He said to cover mirrors and light everything up. I did the entire casino." she finally blurted out, turning to stare at him. How did he not know this?

"I was going to try to talk to her- the princess this time, but someone grabbed my ankle from under the bed. This time.. well.. Sibyl's coming after you, Edward. I'm pretty sure. I saw you lying on the floor beneath my bed, a bullet hole between your eyes and blood everywhere. I don't think she warned me for no reason."

A scrowl crossed her face as she stared at him. "And since I last talked to you, I have this too." She pulled the gray silk from her pocket. It was always close to her. "This is the Princess's. It's got blood on it, but it's protection in some way. Anyhow after Sibyl nearly killed me but shot Kyrie instead, it's been quiet until tonight. I think she's cominng here tonight. You have to do something to protect yourself. And Hae."

"Even Tae if you can." she finally added. "Sibyl is planning to kill all of you. But... put something on. She showed you to me ...naked so get dressed and maybe it won't go as she expects. I'll even turn my back." She smirked before glancing up at the window again. Being this close to one worried her for his sake.
