Some time later a bang came to the infirmary's door. Severus had come crashing through the door shouting "Animagi! ANIMAGI!!!" He hurried over to Remus's side, the sound of clinking glass vials coming from his cauldron. He was in such a rush that he hadn't had the time to properly put his instruments away. "I figured it out. Its a plot to attack the school. Animagi have tamed a werewolf and plan to attack the school." He was smiling, strangely enough, the entire time he spoke. He was proud of himself coming to this conclusion. I bet there old followers of that fool of a dark wizard(whos name escapes me.) dumbledore took down."

Remus was half asleep when Severus came busting in, which made him jump, which made him wince. "Shhhh Severus you've got to be quiter or Madame Pomfry will kick you out." Remus sighed. He couldn't just let Severus continue coming up with these weird explainations to last night. "Did that werewolf seem the least bit tamed? Because it doesn't sound like it. And how would animals help control a werewolf? Espiecally a rat. i would think a werewolf would eat it."

"That's why I say they are Animagi. They turn into animals in order to sneak in." He said completely sure of himself. "And a simple imperius curse could help tame a werewolf...I think. And as for the attack, maybe they wanted to make more werewolves." He had covered all the bases, except the ones that included simple logic and reason. He was to excited by the outlandish ideals of grandeur. He wanted to be the boy that foiled there plot. "Its all simplified by this one conclusion, the one you lead me to about the animals."

"Severus it's not some evil plot. He set his book down and bit his lip. "I can promise you the Animagi are not in control of the werewolf and the werewolf doesn't want to kill Dumbledore. I like Dumbledore. He wants to help me. Severus please don't tell anyone. I'm the werewolf. And me and those Animagi don't have any evil plots. I don't want to turn anyone else into a werewolf." Remus wasn't going to tell Severus the identaty of the Animagi he wouldn't betry his friends' secrets. But Severus was smart. Remus knew he'd figure them out.

"Y-" Was what he managed to say. It wasn't easy when the one person who say's they are your friend, suddenly tells you they attacked you. Its true he wasn't in control, but still he was reminded of the saying 'once bitten, twice shy' with much emphasis on the bitten part. He backed away to the adjacent bunk, falling back onto it. "I would like to say I think you're joking" He said, after the longest pause. And once again, there was a silence. One that Severus, could not find a strength to break.

"i wish i was joking Severus. And I do offically hate Sirius for tricking you into going to the shreiking shack. I never would want to attack you." Remus hugged his knees. "Please don't let this change our friendship Severus. I really do like you." He looked at him with big sad puppy eyes.

"So...It was serious' fault. And which one is he?" He asked. He had a hard time staying stern when the other gave him such a look. It was so pathetic it was horrifying. "No doubt he was the rat, he acts like one surely enough. I know I shouldn't be mad at you, so lets work on worsening my hatred for the toad. Tell me the truth, or is there anything else you kept secret that you want to tell me?"

"No." Remus smiled a bit. "He's the dog. Peter's the rat. And James in the stage. So you can't hate James anymore. He's the one who saved you." Remus chuckled a bit. "The werewolf secret isn't enough for one day?"

"Wait...Pettigrew is an animagus. Even with a name like that, I wouldn't have figured him to have such a rare talent." He was actually slightly more annoying to hear that. "Well, I guess one secret is enough." He said with a slight blush.

Remus bit his lip. "I thought you had figured it out. I didn't mean to give away his secret. They learned how to to help with my transformations. Animals cant be turned into werewolves and it makes me less likely to attack them, except Peter. I wasn't laying when I said rat was something a werewolf would eat." He chuckled a bit.
"Is there anything you want to ask me? Because I'll answer your questions." Remus gave Severus a small smile.

He could barely contain his joy, he would need to find a basket to contain it all(sarcasm.) "ok then." he said , clearing his throat as he thought of the first question. "Then, when did this happen to you? Were you born this way?" He was less interested by serious now, seeing as he wasn't in danger. He would prefer to have him in a much more dangerous situation.

"No. If i was a born were I'd have much more control over myself. I was bitten when I was three. My mom made my father keep me. I've always loved her for doing that and putting up with me. She was a muggle so she had no clue what she was getting herself into."

"Then...By who, would I know the name." He asked, moving along with the questioning. He felt an urge, bordering on obligation, to know how his friend was stricken with such an affliction. He wouldn't know what to do with such information, but still he asked.

"It was Grayback." Remus had a feeling Severus would know that name, after all he was the most famous werewolf. Remus frowned thinking about him. "He bit me and just left me to deal with it all on my own."

"Greyback...So you were one of the many huh? I heard he bites children whenever he gets the chance." It was some time ago that he heard the name from his father. Fenrir Grayback was a well known werewolf, and dark wizard. There was barely anyone in the wizard world who hadn't heard his name. "Is there anything I can do to help."
