Aleshanee took no notice at all when it came to the awkward or bumbling movements from Nocturne. She was enjoying this game nonetheless, and nothing could possibly ruin this now. Her eyes danced in happiness, feeling her leg wings flutter with excitement, and her heart pumping in her chest from the thrill.
The mare giggled, watching the stallion slowly get excited about playing. She was excited he was enjoying himself and it wasn't just something that was forced on him to obliged. Her head wings perked up as she looked surprised from his lunge, and gracefully jumped back a couple feet.
When she heard his little 'threat', she tried to muster up her best tough face before giggling, and appearing as if she were trying to shrink away from his fierce form. Her gaze towards him showed the mirth behind his actions, before she darted off towards the forest. She was more than ready to get the game started!

The pale mare before him was certainly an interesting sort. With an inability to speak, the nameless stranger seemed to possess a foal-like innocence to her; she reminded him of Numielle with her antics and he couldn't resist going along with them.
As Aleshanee took off through the woods, beginning a game of chase, the stallion was hot on her heels. He was larger and bulkier than the mare, but what he might have lacked in speed he most certainly made up with stamina. For awhile he was content just to run, allowing himself to ponder this unique situation he found himself in.
If someone told Nocturne he'd be involved in a game of chase, he might have scoffed or laughed. . . . Still, it was refreshing to chalk his duties to the side temporarily and just play. But whatever would he call this elusive spirit. . .? She'd need a name of some sort. . . he was sure she had one, but guessing it could take ages.
Oh well.
Names were irrelevant at this stage in the game. For now, he had to dodge after her and not get caught in the local flora and fauna. If his bulky leather wings weren't easily ensnared, than the spiked tip of his tail or the horn that sprouted from his forehead were. Truly, he was not designed for chasing in foliage. . . .
But, he'd pursue until he caught up to her or she stopped. Where they were going, it mattered not. . . . He'd find out as soon as they arrived.

Aleshanee weaved through the forest, as if she knew the ground very well. Her steps were light, and attempted to make little to no noise. Remembering that the stallion behind her had wings as well, she would make the chase a bit more interesting.
She giggled in amusement as she quickly and quietly spread her wings and took to the air. Her powerful wings brought her light body into the air towards the canopy of the forest. One at the level of the canopy, she stepped onto a sturdy branch catching her breathe for a moment. Her heart was racing, and yet, she didn't want to turn around just yet. Whether he was still behind her or not was a mystery, but it would be a great surprise if he was still there.
Taking a moment, she had to think of something. Her wings folded to her side, as she easily balanced herself on the tree branch as if she were a bird. Her wings folded to her sides, but she trusted her reflexes to spread her wings fast enough to take flight in case she slips or the branch breaks right beneath her. She's had plenty of those experiences. It might not have been a pleasant experience at first, she always managed to be okay.
Feeling her curiosity nag at her, her gray eyes searched the forest floor, wondering if the stallion had seen her take off. If he didn't and had followed her this far, she would think of something. If he was no where in sight, she wouldn't blame him if he got tired of the game and ran back.

Nocturne couldn't believe he was in a game of chase. This was quite unlike him, or at least his behavior might very well send some of his family in a state of shock. Still, there was more to the dark coated male than most assumed. He might always have been a stoic sort, but he did have the ability to laugh, smile, and even play games. He wasn't often given an opportunity to do such things, but here was an exception.
Besides, he was far enough away from home to not have to worry about anyone seeing him. He was certain some of his family might raise a brow at his antics, especially with a stranger! But the quiet and seemingly mute mare before him wasn't hurting anyone and she did seem to want to play.
Far be it for him to deny someone such a harmless desire.
As she spread her wings, Nocturne hesitate just a moment. Still, it was with a great leap he too unfurled his wings. Where Aleshanee was graceful, Nocturne couldn't help but feel heavier and clumsy. His wings were made of leather, his body toned in muscle. Compared to the angeni before him, he must have surely looked a sight!
Still, the chase was on! Except, while she flew above the canopy, he took a moment to fly even higher. He watched as she stopped and paused on the top of the thick canopy, an unusual sight to be sure. It wasn't often one saw such a majestic form perched! Still, while she was looking back, Nocturne was already slowly circling above her. Onlookers might show concern about the black beast with the spiked tail circling in such a slow and purposeful manner, but he meant no harm.
"Need a moment to catch your breath?" He called out as he continued his slow circle and decent. Two could play games. It was just a good thing she hadn't taken off to the clouds, that would be a rael game of hide and seek.

Taking a moment to observe the stallion from her perch, the mare stayed perched on top of the canopy. She nodded her head in response to his answer, smiling brightly. The mare was ecstatic to see that the stallion was willing to play along.
Watching the stallion circling above her, she wondered how she would evade the stallion now. He was just looming overhead. The mare began to panic seeing him start to descent from the higher sky.
Instead of taking off, the mare slipped down from her perch on the canopy to carefully fall down to the forest floor. Landing on her hooves, she barely felt any recoil from the controlled fall. She grinned, peering up at the canopy cover and shook off the leaves from her person. The mare started to run in no direction particular, leaving the stallion in the sky.

Nocturne had been about to reach where the mare had been perched, only to find her slipping back in to the canopy. Even though it had been expected, he still found his ears flattening for just a moment in dismay. This was almost as much work as training! Jumping from flight to weaving ones way back on to ground, and then back again! It was as if the mare couldn't make up her mind what game she wanted to play . . .still . . . she was giving him a work out and wasn't making it easy for him. This was all in good fun, after all!
Fun. That was something that wasn't often in Nocturne's dictionary, but he was far enough from home that he could take a few more moments to humor the winged mare. She reminded him ever so slightly of his mother, Numielle, and how she often tried to play games . . .with others or just on her own! It was an unusual trait as far as Nocturne was concerned, though he wondered now if perhaps female angeni weren't all just a little silly. His great-grandfather Cyn wasn't goofy, he was a very serious sort of stallion (who had his good humored moments) but he couldn't ever see him in a game of chase!
Still, the stallion gave a small smile but instead of following, only circled a bit higher above the trees. The canopy wasn't so thick that he couldn't see a flash of pale dodging in and out. It was a good thing he had some sort of vision, and that the trees weren't so thick to block all view. No, for right now he'd see if he couldn't bait her to hit the sky! A flying game of chase might be fun. . . though he didn't want her to get away.
