Oooh, the cakes sound yummy. Even my sweetie agrees. biggrin I'll have to try that tea too, granted my cramps aren't nearly as bad anymore now that I'm on The Pill (I find it hilarious that oral contraceptives are called that, like there is no other medication that comes in pill form xd ) but it's still uncomfortable.

I didn't even see moose when I voted, because milk is my favorite and I chose that! Except apparently on and off my body decides I should be allergic to it and makes my tonsils swell when drinking it. It's tons worse with pure cream though. But it doesn't make me stop breathing or swallowing, so I continue because it's too yummy to give up. Yay milk!
I'm not a big tea fan. When I was little, the only tea that existed to me was lipton and that's super gross (I dislike black/red tea). In high school my friend got one of those bottles of green tea and I tried that and it wasn't too bad. Could use more fruity, imo.

tea has traveled so far from the actual tea leaf it is insane. I kinda think the term tea now refers to "hot plants in water that isnt coffee"
I grow spearmint in the spring (Washington state is too cold in the winters and I can't take it in, since my house is small) I tend to add that to a lot of tea. It helps add sweetness to the bitter tea flavor. I know it's a conditioned taste, it takes a lot of years of drinking the stuff to fully enjoy it, especially since the U.S. has an obsession with over sweetened drinks, like soda, milkshakes, sweet tea(ew), lemonaide (or any juice) and so on.
It's kinda sad I don't think most of us could enjoy the flavor of tea as it was apperciated years ago.

I like a taste of sweetened things such as a sip of a milkshake every now and then, but more than a taste and I'm like, "yuck." Granted I do drink artificially sweetened things, but from what I can tell it's not the same as real sugar. Also, from what others tell me, artificial sweeteners are bitter in comparison. Guess after 18 years I just don't notice anymore, though that is probably why regular soda and juice makes me want to hurl, hehe. As for tea though, I hate it sweetened. Can I ask a stupid tea question though? Like, steep the tea then heat it? (I've never really had anything beyond things like Celestial Seasonings which have you heat the water, then add the teabag.)

Trust me, I've tried the moose...it's nothing to get excited about. You can't even make tea with it...it always turns into stew eek . Check back every Saturday or Sunday for a new recipe!

They are delicious! The oats give it a good texture. If you are going for a fluffier biscuit, add about 1 tsp baking powder. Mix-ins are allowed too, depending on the Sabbat or ritual.

I love milkshakes and other milky things. Juices really depend. There are a lot I don't like. But I went down the one aisle in my food store that has exotic foods, like asian and hispanic, and I found a can of strawberry juice. Pure strawberry juice. It's heavenly. I wonder why it isn't sold in larger bottles..

Wow, I just realized I haven't been to bed since yesterday. eek I was reminded as my sweetie bought me some sleepy time tea and tension tamer tea so I can try those out and see if it helps me fall asleep. And since this is the tea thread...
Edit: Wow, this sleepy time tea has me actually kind of sleepy. Granted I haven't slept in forever, and it might have happened anyways without the tea, but at least it's setting up a good association for future attempts with this tea of goodness.
