Caelan glanced at Koumori at Saiaku's question. He didn't really know why he and Chi had chosen this area for the tribe. He looked back at Saiaku and shrugged. "We were simply exploring the area," he replied, shortly.
"Have you seen anyone else about?" Caelan decided to ask curiously. Maybe Saiaku has seen the creatures Caelan could only sense at the moment.

Saiaku closed his eyes, resting his head back down on his paw. "There was some black and grey vixen roaming about. She had a bone mask on, too. It was rather... odd... if not somewhat frightening if you ask me," he replied. "She did not seem violent, but then again she just looked at me with grey eyes for a brief instance before going off on her way. I did not think to much about it," he explained with a shrug. "You can chase her if you like. She's off in that direction." He gestured to the north with his dangling paw. He would just be happy to be rid of the two for the moment so he could rest in peace rather than be interrogated.

Why were there so many foxes in her territory?
The black and grey vixen pondered this with a low growl. Most of the time she was rather detached and did not care much if there was a fox simply passing through this area she called her home. Yet there were so many of them here... It was ridiculous to her. And they all seemed like they were here to stay. She had heard them talking, speaking of a "tribe" to be established here. She knew what those were, having thought of establishing one herself. Though she could not stand the thought of having to move due to a group of foxes unknowingly inhabiting her territory.
The white, black, and red bloodsplattered fox was concerning. He seemed to be the leader. He also was a vampire. And the clothed fox, the one with the blonde hair and icy paws, he was a vampire as well. She knew of those creatures as well, though she had long thought that the world was rid of them, not that she really cared. She did not mind the creatures of the night.
Nex continued to meander through the forest, eyes scanning the area. There were too many of them... Far too many...

Tanoki peered down at the landscape with an intregued look on her face as the dense forest gave way to a fog bank. Not sure if there was land or water under the fog, the black and red 'Daeva took a dive down into the fog, and landed with a thud on the edge of the lake. There were a few different scents in the air, one of which belong to a creature she was unfamiliar with. One of which belonged to the 'Daeva she had been following.
Osoreru. He was here. She hated to admit to herself that she had been following him, but she had. There was something about him that she was attracted to, thus she had let him have a few days head start before she began tracking him.
As she began to make her way towards his scent, she wondered if he had noticed he was being followed. Would he think she was creepy for following him? Should she have followed him? Oh well, too late now. If he didn't want her following, he would say so.
Osoreru's figure was hard to pick out in the fog, but the bright red flames at his feet gave him away. But he was not alone.

He sniffed the air as the rather familiar scent wafted by. 'Tanoki...' He did not expect to see her again for quite sometime, despite the fact that they did have a litter of four together. The black 'Daeva found himself wondering if she had brought the two other children, Agni and Ki, with her. Ryuu and Tatsuo were already here. It would be odd to have the family -well, some of it, at least- here in one tribe. He was used to being so distant from other relatives, such as his father from Bamboo, his mother from Akatsuki, his half-brothers from either Akatsuki or Kousetsu, his foster brother from Lunarie, and the list continued.
Osoreru flexed his claws, turning his attention away from the other creature that him a little more curious than he should have been. It must have been his normal side, for he was not a "Pureblood 'Daeva", after all. A look of agitation crossed his visage for a brief instant as the thought passed over him, but the thought was gone as quickly as it had come, for Tanoki was no more than fifty meters away from him. A smirk formed on his maw as he sauntered over towards her. "Fancy seeing you in these parts," he spoke, flames licking the entrails of fog coiling around his white paws and silver bangles.

"A vixen wearing a bone mask..." Caelan repeated in a mumble. He glanced back at Koumori for a moment, then in the direction Saiaku indicated. "Shall we search for this vixen, Koumori?" Caelan asked his companion. It seemed as if Saiaku wanted to be left alone anyways. The ominous presence Caelan felt before suddenly doubled, and he doubted it was caused by the vixen this fox had mentioned. Still, he wouldn't mind meeting the mysterious, masked stranger.

Koumori looked at Caelan, though his eyes retained a look of deep thought. He contemplated Caelan's proposition for a moment, eventually sighing. There were so many new foxes lurking about the lands, so many he would like to meet. News had reached his ears of Kane and Aido bearing children as well, so he had to go see for himself. "Tell you what," he began, gazing out in the direction Saiaku gestured in. "How about we split up? You look for this masked vixen and I meet up with some of these other foxes roaming around?"

Caelan shrugged in response to Koumori's suggestion. "That sounds fine to me," he replied. Caelan understood that his friend probably had a lot of other business to attend to regarding the soon to be tribe.
Caelan headed in the direction that Saiaku indicated, looking for the vixen wearing the bone mask. He wondered how far in this direction she was. As he continued on, one scent became stronger than the rest. He was nearing another fox. Whether or not it was the vixen he had set out to find, Caelan wasn't entirely positive. He hoped, however, that it wasn't anything worse.
Aruna wandered around a very dead forest. She had been walking for a while, after having left her mother and Kousetsu, to look for her half-brother Caelan. She knew she was close now. Even though she was young, she had a keen sense of smell. The kit knew her brother from miles away.
Up ahead the trees of the dead forest seemed to open to a lake covered by a heavy fog. The only reason Aruna could see at all was the fire constantly burning on her ear. Nearby was the scent of many more foxes, but she ignored them, just looking for her brother. She didn't notice the other flames on the ground caused by the 'Daeva nearby, nor the presence of the vampiric fox somewhere between herself and her brother. She just continued on, determined.
[EDIT :: Can we pretend she's still a kit? XP]

Taiat was lost, hungry, and miserable. The little kit had no idea where he was but the land didn’t scare him as it might have for other kits. Taiat enjoyed the misty woods. They felt calming somewhat mysterious. The only thing that made the kit miserable was the occasional rumble from his empty stomach. Maybe if he was lucky he would be able to find a pond or a lake to go fishing in. Taiat hated getting wet, but it was better than starving. Continuing his travels Taiat thought he heard voices. Creeping slowly and hiding behind one tree after another Taiat eventually came close enough. One of the voices said something about meeting other foxes. Taiat didn’t want to get caught by whomever those voices belonged to. If they were mean foxes Taiat would be in trouble; if they were kind foxes Taiat would be questioned as to why a kit was out in a place like this alone.. Adults always asked and then when Taiat wouldn’t answer he would be yelled at and told to leave. Taiat didn’t want to be kicked out of the woods just yet, there was something that he liked about this place. Trying to slither away even more carefully then he approached Taiat only hoped that he wouldn't be noticed.

Why were there so many foxes in this area? Damn it all. Blanca eyed the others from a fairly good distance away, ears flicked back a bit. "...Probably an annoying lot." She muttered to herself, breathing out a heavy sigh. Interacting with other foxes - probably silly and bothersome, like usual - was not her ideal way to spend the day. Hell, she would rather be hunting her latest meal... Well, what had been her intended meal.
Her stomach had brought her to this area, hunger demanding that she go out and hunt, feed herself, keep herself alive. So she had! And she had been doing fairly well, sniffing out a rabbit from a burrow and starting a lovely hunt. A nice meal, though small, had been within her grasp!... That is, until a few moments ago. These damned foxes had managed to distract her from the chase. Now? The rabbit was nowhere in sight, the trail to the now empty burrow was forgotten, and... and this area was rather dead.
Grumbling softly, Blanca gave a lash of her tail, eyes slitting as she eyed the small gathering nearby. What was the better decision right now? To meet and greet and find out where the hell she was? Or to just be on her way?

What was that infernal stench?
Koumori's blood red eyes snapped open, nose wrinkling with disgust, muscles tensing, tail lashing irritably. Good god, it was horrible. He could not remember the last time he had smelled something so disgusting, or even if he had ever smelled something as terrible as this filth. What was this filth, and what was it doing on his tribe lands? He dug his claws into the ground, a low growl emitting from his throat. Was this a fox? How could any fox smell so revolting? How could it smell so terrible that he could smell it even though he could not see it? He stood up, agitated as if he had not eaten — or drank, rather — in months, debating whether or not he should investigate this wretched stench, or let someone else investigate for him, after all, he assumed the entire population of the area would gravitate towards this revolting smell. Though he conceded; letting everyone else do the work would make him a terrible leader, no?
With an aggravated sigh, he hopped off the rock he had been pleasantly napping on, growling. He walked in a very practical manner, stride even and long, eyes focused. He was going to find the source of this repugnant stench, and vanquish it... or at least make it leave. It would not be very leader-like for him to go off killing everything that caused him distaste. That would dissuade potential members, no? He huffed inwardly, a little more agitated than he had been a few moments ago. The fact that he had to care about leaving a good impression now... this was a new concept, and he was not sure if he liked it or not.
It did not take him long to find the source, a white vixen. It came as a mild surprise. How could a vixen smell so... Oh, that vile creature. That awful, miserable wretch. How the hell did one of them wander here? Good god. She smelled worse than the rest of her kind, or he simply could not remember the foul stench. He probably repressed the memory, with good reason. He growled, emerging from the shadows, eyes fixed on the... werewolf.
"What do you want?"

Laythe cornered and swiftly killed a rabbit that had just darted past. Stupid thing. There wasn't even a thing in sight that was pursuing it. Ah well, all the more food for him and the tribe. He picked the carcass up in his mouth and began a trek back to the caves. Laythe wasn't too hungry himself; might as well bring it back to another tribe member like the good little hunter that he was.
Through the forest of dead trees, and to his left, Laythe could see a couple of foxes. One he knew by smell as the Elder of Kurai, Koumori. Though Laythe had been born into the tribe, he didn't know much about the Elder himself. But then, there were a lot of tribe members Laythe had never met at all, he was sure. The fox Koumori was with right now, for instance, could have been a member of Kurai and Laythe would have never known. Then again, it looked a little tense over there. And like any other fox in this tribe, the gray vixen didn't exactly look normal.
Rather then approach the pair, then, Laythe decided to continue on his way straight to the caves to see who he could find there instead.

If it was possible for Blanca to flick her ears back even more, she certainly did. This new male reeked of blood. All she could smell was blood, blood, and even more blood. Your usual fox didn't smell like this, even after a hunt. No, this was different. He seemed to be different?... Ack. No. He was just.. Ugh, 'Deities, this annoyingly strong scent. It was like being thrown into a den of fellow foxes or something, there was no way you couldn't smell it! Blanca tried to push aside the scent of blood, forcing herself to ignore it as much as she possibly could, attention now on the fox himself.
This... really rude fox.
Oh hell no, this wouldn't do. At the less than friendly greeting she was given, the vixen pulled back her lips, whipping out a quick snarl in return. You didn't just go up to someone and growl at them like that! Who in their right mind would even do tha-... Oh. Oh. She understood perfectly now.
"Shouldn't that be my line?" Blanca said, choosing to put on an annoyed scowl, small in size but more than enough to show how she was felt. "What do you want, bloodsucker? I was just passing through, hunting down a small meal for myself. I'm not looking for company or... trouble. No. I'd rather not have to deal with anything like that today." She suddenly gave a soft chuckle, sneering a little at him. "Look at you, you're acting like you own this place." She continued to sneer until a thought occurred, her scowl returning. "Do you?..." Her gaze momentarily turned to Laythe as he passed by, tail giving a few flicks. That male had a rabbit in his mouth.. Was that her rabbit, the one she had been chasing down earlier?... It appeared to be so. "...Hm." Well, at least her chase had resulted in someone getting fed.

Sooo 'Rea gave me the okay to get this thing official. I mean... it does have five pages of RP, just... over 3 threads. So, I need the bottom part of this filled out with your guys' help. With tracking members. :U
So tell me who's in this and his position, yeah?
Name of the Tribe:: The Kurai Clan Tribe's Owner:: Shi Berry Name of potential Elder:: Koumori Elder:: Cert — Uncert Tribe's Modification:: Fifth One, on the far right.
Premise and Beliefs of the Tribe This tribe has a strong affiliation with darkness/shadows. The foxes of this tribe owe their lives to darkness, for darkness is a place to hide, a place to escape, a place to be accepted. Darkness does not discriminate; it will accept all who come to it. It does not illuminate your flaws, shine over you to reveal all that you are, all that you would rather conceal. It does not care. It allows you to maintain your secrecy, and hide in its depths. When the foxes came to darkness, darkness hid them from their enemies. Darkness did not retreat away from them; it embraced them.
All except those of light.
They welcome all who wish to find solace in shadows. As long as a fox cares for the tribe and will do the duties he or she is assigned, Kurai is accepting of them. The foxes are those who have either been turned away from the world of light, or those who would rather avoid light and come play in the dark.
Foxes here tend to be nocturnal, but diurnal foxes are not uncommon or strange here. The tribe land includes a thick wood enclosing a crag of black rock, a lake, and a clearing. At the base of one side of the crag, there is a lake with a seemingly perpetual fog hanging over it. On the other side of the crag, there is a clearing. In the center of the clearing, there is an enormous oak tree. The tribe itself has no affiliation to trees or nature, however, this tree is said to be the tree where their patron 'Deity first touched the earth.
Their patron 'Deity is the 'Deity of Darkness/Shadows, Kurai. He is the manipulator of shadows, he who created the darkness in which the foxes of this tribe found refuge. He is the one who accepted them, despite themselves. They pray to him, thanking him for his acceptance, and, in return for their loyalty, he continues to provide darkness.
Kurai is not a violent tribe by any means. They are a very reclusive tribe, and prefer to keep to themselves. They are not aggressive towards outsiders, but are not very welcoming at all.
The tribe does not have a detestation of light. They understand that light is going to be around no matter what they try. They simply have an aversion to light.
Modeities of the Tribe and Their Domains Kurai, the 'Diety of the Darkness/Shadows.
What makes this tribe different than the others, both official tribes and other test tribes? This tribe is a tribe for those who wish to find unconditional acceptance.
Now, that is what most tribes do. However, here in Kurai, even those with the most sinister of pasts, those who are ostracized and persecuted for whatever the reason can find a place to call home. The foxes do not need to run any more. Darkness welcomes all.
