Rea's so-called 'skills' of a leader were oh-so shining at this moment. Really. No, not one ******** bit. Delphine was not impressed, and with a sneer she leaned over the table to meet Rea, her dark blue eyes hard with anger. Her lips parted to speak, but Chloe's voice cut her off, and for a moment her anger was channeled to the cat. Oh, she remembered why she did not like Chloe. "I think the real reason she left was because some of the people in this team were ******** limiting her. C'mon, what have any of you honestly accomplished? We've dusted a few youma, GOOD FOR US. Maybe Charys ******** realized that she was better off on her own." Of course, Delphine herself didn't have any accomplishments that exceed those of her teammates, but she didn't think that to be the point.
The point was they had done NOTHING, they hadn't grown any, they hadn't done anything of any merit in the end, and Delphine was tired of it. "Because, look, our princess is still no where to be found - we don't even know HOW to find her. I'm beginning to think she doesn't want to be found by worthless senshi like us, hell, I think she probably doesn't give a rat's a** about us at this rate." It was her 'not-so secret' secret - Delphine did not hold much faith in their princess. Delphine fought to protect the few people she cared about, and that was it. Little to nothing else fell into the equation.
"So, call me what you ******** will, but I am ******** done with this. You guys will be so much better off without me, how blind I was not to realize this!" her voice was mocking, cynical, and she rose without further ado, fulling intending to dump this team s**t and be a lone senshi. She'd lose the extra protection, but she wouldn't have to deal with all this bullshit and drama. "You can be two men down, then."

Blue eyes darted between Rea and Delphine worriedly, the escalating argument did not do well to the tension they could all already feel. The Charys thing was forgotten for now, perhaps Eve would try to pester her through text messages later and demand an explanation. She didn't get why that at this time, when it had just been announced that Charys was leaving, Delphine was being a straight out b***h. "The reason why we assembled a team was because we could fight better." She snapped at the bluenette. "You've just admitted we're worthless, I know I'm worthless by myself, at least. You haven't even tried to work with us and see if it will work out! We haven't even fought together once!"
There was silence as Delphine announced her resignation and Eve glared at her. "Fine. If you want to go out there and die, fine. If you want to be as stupid as Castor, fine. Your call." The girl crossed her arms and sat back in her seat, looking more annoyed than ever. She was still evidently mad at the whole 'Almost Killed by Three Negaverse Agents and Castor being in Love with One Of Them', although only Rea here knew the second part.
"So Ume," She began in a calmer tone, "what's this about a Princess?"

s**t. She hadn't been right. Again. Clearly, Delphine was not as serious about the team as she had expected. She had thought that, underneath it all, the senshi of decay had been supportive of it. And maybe she was. But it was clear that her outburst had struck some sort of prideful cord in the girl. And it was prompting her to leave. Something the team could not afford.
She... could not afford.
"Delphine..."
Rea stood up a little further in her seat, obviously regretting her words as soon as the other senshi started speaking. This was not leadership, this was petty anger, mostly towards herself. It was not flattering, and it was not what they needed. They needed Delphine -- she was strong and competent, and despite her attitude, Rea knew she could count on her. They needed her.
"Don't leave. Please. We can't afford to lose you too. This is more than I gave Charys -- I didn't beg when Charys left. But I'm asking you now. Please don't leave."
She was just so amazing at this s**t. Really. Clearly. Obviously. Taking in a slow, deep breath, she looked at the others, eyebrows furrowed a little.
"Eve, you're not useless." She gave her roommate a meaninful, 'I-would-have-died-without-you' look. There were plenty of times (the day Flora was awakened, in fact) that she had saved her life. "...we can discuss patrolling after we hear if anyone has any news. After that, then..." She paused, setting her jaw in a determined look, "We'll start planning an offensive attack against the Negaverse."
Delphine was right about one thing -- they couldn't just keep on the defensive. Not after everything had happened. Not after seeing the state which the negaverse could easily put them in. Eve had almost died. Miriam had almost died. They had to do something, and it didn't include sitting back and waiting for the negaverse to come up with some sort of plan to pick them off. They were already getting stronger.

"Delphine." Chloe started to say- just before Rea broke in and started to beg. Sigh.
"Look. Dont leave, ah hell PLEASE dont leave. Rea is right- we need you. We need this team to stick together if we start to fight like this we will fall apart."
Thats all she could say. Chloe cared a lot for each of these senshi- but in the end it was Delphines decision.
...And then with Eves little speech about being useless was when she snapped. Lets jsut face it- as a cat hiding under a damn coat she could not speak with them on equal ground. So after checking around to make sure no one was looking....... she slipped off the table and onto the seat. Where a cat was sitting one second- the next second a girl around the senshi's age sat. She made sure to keep the jacket draped over her... and the hood on her head. She did not think cat ears would be a good thing to be seen.
"Look. All of you. Just shut up and get over yourselves. We all have our weak moments, we all have our strong moments. While you all might think youv done nothing significant.. think of it this way. You all kill youma, each youma you kill off the street you are saving at LEAST one other persons life. Youma kill- its what they are programmed to do. Without us... the whole world would eventually become over run with monsters and humans would get on the endangered species list. For the moment you might not have done something life changing- but think about how those future generations of the person you saved would have never EXISTED without you."
"And i agree- we do need a plan for attacking them. But we need to start off discreet... not attack them all at once. We need to single them out. We will fight fire WITH fire. Looking back over at Eve she headtilted- i guess some feline manners stay eh? "What did Castor do for you to call him stupid?"
Settling back into the chair- she stretched out her legs under the table. "Now...What.. is this about a princess?" While unseen- her feline ears did p***k up a little.

"...Delphine" She said quietly "Before you march out thiers something for you in my shoulder bag, if you don't mind waiting I'll give it to you before you go, there is something for each of you alright?"
Her voice was oddly even as she folded her hands before her. "Charys... didn't quit because of Rea, I know that... Charys was there when -I- got pulled into this, and... I think I know where she's gone but it's -her- buisness and it's not my place to say...alright?
But...what I -can-tell you, Is that Princess Chronos is in the city, she has a team of zodiac senshi with her." She glanced around at the assembled faces. "She said... Astaria is planning a meeting, she -also- said..." she glanced at Nemisis, that like it or not we -should form teams. It's safer...Charonite is... he's more organized than us, and I have to believe more dangerous. Del, even if you don't need us, we need -you-... please don't go"
She reached into her bag and passed over a black wrapped box with an electric blue silk ribbon to Delphine,
A Pink and blue box was set on the counter to wait for Beth, a Green and pink passed to Flora.
"Theirs more for the others but... if you want you can open them now..." She said rubbing her arm. "They were supposed to be for christmas or...whatever you celebrate. Because we're a team... and I don't know about you, but -I- really need that right now." She glanced down at the table and then back with a small smile.

For a few moments she blocked everyone else out but Rea - Eve and Chloe's words fell on deaf ears. Delphine's eyes stared hard at the leader of this straggling team, her body pausing in its movement to leave. At least someone had her attention, at least someone was making her stop and think about what she was doing. This team... she might feel something for them, but she wasn't going to stick around and have them dragging her down. Pegasus and the other girls needed to get something together so Delphine FELT like she was working towards some sort of goal. She didn't want to be a part of this team, not like this, not how they were at this moment.
...Something needed to be proved to Delphine, and so for those few moments she stood in silence, she came up with an ultimatum. "If you want me back on this godforsaken team, you have to beat me." No, not the physical beating either, and something about Delphine's eyes implied it was a little more than that. "If you can kill more youma than me in a week, starting today, I'll rejoin the team. If you choose not to play, or if you lose to me, I'm back to doing this solo, because if you, the team leader, aren't any stronger than me, there is no point in sticking around. We'll meet outside here seven days from now... midnight. If you're not here, fine, I'll write a big '******** you' on the wall."
That was it.
Pegasus could take it or leave it. Delphine had said her piece, and now it was time for her to leave and go dust some youma. If Rea took up the challenge, Delphine wouldn't make it easy for her to win. Really, Delphine planned to shove Rea's face into dirt at the end of this. She doubted the team leader was strong enough, especially when Delphine was determined to win.
But suddenly a small black gift-wrapped box was placed into her hand. She was stunned, and for once her expression wasn't a scowl, her face clear of lines. A... gift? Delphine didn't expect gifts, and it wasn't like this was going to make her rejoin the team... Her expression returned to its normal scowl. Delphine usually didn't receive gifts, and though if she did she usually accepted them... this time she didn't. Instead, she placed the box back down onto the table, glancing over to Ume and flashing her the briefest of smiles. "Wait until you see if I'm on the team before doing something like that." With that said, she didn't bother to give the team a final look.
She just left, because Delphine had work to do.

Eve would have said 'By useless, I mean strength in numbers' but she let Rea and Chloe do the talking. She didn't trust herself to speak against Delphine right now, she was honestly rather annoyed at the other girl. Didn't she understand? Rea had already begged her, Chloe snapped, and they didn't need to argue any more. Not any more now, since Delphine had left. Since Delphine had made her deal with Rea. Eve only sighed, and patted Rea on the back lightly.
She was brought back into the conversation when Chloe turned to her and asked her. What did Castor do for you to call him stupid? It was only now that Eve realized the folly of her mentioning Castor and she froze, like a deer in the spotlights. She had promised him not to say, and he had saved her life. Ugh. This was such a dilemma. Saying something would possibly help to save him, but she owed him... "He's... been flirting with girl senshi." She finally said, eyes avoiding the guardian cat's. It was the truth, after all, but not what exactly she had been referring to.
And if that wasn't enough, the next one who spoke, Ume, made her sit up and gaze at the other in rapt, full attention.
Princess Chronos.
Zodiac Senshi.
All the senshi had that longing imprinted in them, to find their princess and protect her. It was an echo in all of their hearts, something that brought them together, but now, hearing that name, Princess Chronos, it seemed like something had plucked at her heartstrings and the longing was reverberating throughout her. Perhaps the other senshi at the table did not feel the same as she did, but Eve didn't know and didn't care. All she knew was that name was a piece to the vague puzzle in her heart she was searching for, and after murmuring a thanks to Ume for the gift, she reached out her hands and took Ume's, eyes looking frantic. "Princess Chronos? What is she like? Where is she?" Her tone was urgent, and it was evident that Eve wanted to know more, she wanted to know everything Ume knew about Chronos and the Zodiacs.

"I accept."
The words were out of her mouth before she could think, her chin tilted upward a little in an act of bravado. She didn't know if she was stronger than Nemesis -- the time she'd met her before, she'd been a tough character. Very use to handling herself. And while Pegasus had been a lone senshi for quite a while in the beginning, she was by no means amazing. Could she beat her? She didn't know. But she would try. Not just for Delphine, but to prove that she was the right captain for the team.
"Midnight then."
Rea didn't validate her decision to take Delphine up on the challenge. Instead, she sat back down, not looking back to watch the black and blue haired girl leave, her eyes on the others left at the table. She hadn't batted an eye when Chloe had transformed, using her jacket to cover the ears which would give her away in a heartbeat, but now she gave the cat a look, level and determined.
She'd win her back.
But back to business. Ume had some interesting news.
"Princess Chronos... the personification of time, Chronos? And the Zodiacs? Not the princess we're looking for though, obviously." Rea prompted, looking bewildered, and glancing at Eve. Not the princess they'd been looking for, but perhaps the princess Flora, senshi of spring, was? "Can we trust them?"

Ume's eyes widened at Eve's reaction, "Oh!...I..." She started and paused to glance at Rea, whom obviously knew her as well.. or at least -of- her. And Chloe sitting there with a jacket over her head, well, to be honest it left her a bit 'flustered' but she took a moment to breathe.
"She... seemed very nice? I... thought she was rather upset at me at first because I henshin-ed up to try and help with a Yoma, I had -no- idea there were so many of them close by. I um... Pieces got her... skirt stuck, it was very....wide?" she tried to explain, and they were with a young man as well, but they seemed to know him well enough that they didn't mind going 'civilian' in front of him.
"I...mentioned we had a team? I think we can trust her and them? They all worked very hard to take down this Yoma, it was... particularly resilient actually." she said blushing slightly that she felt she had so little information to share.

Chloe was sitting there- unsure of what to say. When Eve commented on Castor's hitting on senshi- the only word that came to mind was "Hormones" which was followed by a long sigh and shaking of her head. The whole ordeal between Rea and Delphine needed to be delt with by themselves- but Chloe still gave Rea a look of 'do not fail'. They couldnt risk losing another team mate.
The talk about this princess is what snapped her back into reality. "Woah WOAH wait just a damn minute now!" Chloe now leaned forward again and placed a hand on the table. She rished losing the jacket for a minute before she tugged it back into place. " Did you just say princess Chronos and the Zodiacs are back? That's impossible! Astraea herself told me that Charonite killed them all in cold blood!"
It took a minute to process this- if the Zodiacs were all dead then what could Ume have seen. She couldnt have dreamed up this, could she? An illusion maybe? If the Zodiacs had returned it would explain that nagging feeling in the back of her mind when Astreae claimed they were all dead- and the weird new power she felt around her.
Turning towards Ume, Chloes eyes darkened and became serious as if she was taking in all this information. "Are you sure this is THE Princess Chronos and the Zodiacs?"

"You know her, Rea?" Eve turned her pleading blue eyes on her roommate for a moment before snapping attentively back to Ume. Princess Chronos was nice. She knew Astraea well enough to be able to inform them that the guardian cat was planning a meeting. She was advising them to form teams already. "What did she look like?" She prompted the dark-haired girl, wanting to put at least a mental image to the strange stirrings of longing deep inside her. She could not remember ever meeting a Princess Chronos, but she felt like she knew her...
"Charonite killed them?" She choked out after Chloe revealed this, eyes widening in horror. He had killed them. She hadn't been there.
You weren't there to help protect her...
A voice that sounded oddly like her own echoed in her head, and it sounded sad, remorseful, and sent another chord of emotion rippling through her, like her heart was a harp and it had just ran its fingers over the strings. As gentle as it was, Eve looked stricken and she sat back in her seat, looking utterly dazed.

"I don't," Rea confessed, shaking her head, "Chronos in Mythology was the personification of time. I made an estimated guess."
Rea's eyes lingered primarily on Eve, expression thoughtful as she listened to Ume recount what had happened. There was definitely something about this Princess that was distressing the girl, for better or worse. Something just seemed to have clicked for the senshi of Spring, as if a light had turned on in her mind. It seemed eerily familiar, and she wondered if her roommate was feeling something akin to the memories she had 'remembered' a few days before.
But despite her worry, it was Chloe's words that really started the alarm bells in her head. If they had died... and Astraea knew they had died... and yet they weren't dead now...
A certain priestess was politely prodding at her mind with a stick.
"Is it possible... she was reincarnated?"
Well that didn't sound crazy at all.

"I... she said something -happened- and that, they were back now..." Ume said uncertainly trying to recall the exact words. "She certainly -seemed- trust worthy? I mean, she did to me..." She said again uncertain. Dead? Really? Reincarnation? "At... the very least they seemed -very- alive? If I see them again, I'll ask them it they wouldn't mind meeting us?" she offered a little nervous. "Oh! Astaria was thinking of a senshi meeting as well... I think, did I say that already? The...princess said that, I believe."

The strawberry blonde girl listened attentively, eyebrows furrowed slightly as Ume recounted her meeting with the Princess. Suddenly she felt a little weird, proposing the idea that Chronos and her Zodiacs had been born again, like it was some sort of magic. Of course, what had she been thinking... reincarnation... it was silly.
Helios seemed to protest, but she brushed the feeling away just as she brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, leaning back a bit from the table.
"Meeting adjourned... thank you Ume. If you can find anything else, either of you..." her eyes settled on Flora, "Let me know. Chloe, please tell Beth the basics of what happened." Without another word, Rea stood, making sure the guardian cat was safely hidden before picking up her coat, giving a cursory glance to her team before heading towards the door, "If you'll excuse me..." 'I have some youma to kill.'
It was going to be a long week.
