After slamming chest first onto the barricade, driving the air right out of him, Cross really had nothing left in him for the moment, and was easily brought back over and thrown into the turnbuckle, just prior to being rolled back into the ring. Now he had to focus on bringing himself back around before James decided to end it.

So James climbed up on the turnbuckle. Top rope move was planned and not a simple single one. James aimed in on Cross as he set up his finisher Sniper shot. At first James places both hands into a scope in front of his face and he looks up his target. He stands on the top rope and bends his knees as he "readies his rifle" Then he jumps up into the air. First he is straight at a 45 degree angle but as he lands with his elbow at solar plexus he is at a minus 10 degree angle. James planned on sending Cross out of this match quickly.

Cross was just barely able to roll inwards towards the turnbuckle to avoid being finished so early. Hopefully the missed aerial maneuver will give him a little extra time to recover, as his head was simply buzzing from the turnbuckle hit.

James rolled over and held his elbow and side. It hurt a bit when such a move missed and some seemed to be miss pleased but not to many. Most of them wanted more wrestling.

Cross suddenly sprung into action, his head apparently done throbbing, as he pounced forward, attempting to hooking around one of James' legs and his collar area, and roll forward into a pin attempt.

The pin came quickly and the ref hit two before James was able to kick out form the pin.

Cross quickly got to his feet after James kicks out, attempting to turn around and drop both legs down on his opponent's chest. ((My last post is blue for whatever reason.))

James sat up after the impact and held his chest in pain.

Cross scrambles back to James after the double leg drop, once again going for the pin.

It was a close call but James kicked out once more. Yet it would seem that his powers weakened since the referee was just inches from the third count.

Cross looks out to the crowd with a look on his face that said he believed that may have been it. He started getting to his feet, clapping a bit at James' resilience. That was, of course, before he went to the man's legs and went to do the old Ric Flair figure four, without the strutting. Because that's a waste of time. And ridiculous looking. Unless your Ric Flair. Then it's okay because you are ridiculous.

James got alerted as pain started to spread, he found himself in a figure four leg lock. James held against the pain with a grin of pain. He did not enjoy this was clear. As he where to tap he found strength instead and started to work to turn around 180 degrees. James was good with submissions, maybe Cross had just dug his own grave?

As they started to run, Cross threw all his weight into it, looking to go all the way through the point where the pressure would be reversed, right back into the figure four, albeit in a different area of the ring. Needless to say, he enjoyed the challenge that his intelligent opponent was presenting.

James leans towards the turnbuckle in extreme pain. He reaches out, is he going to tap? He grabs hold of the ropes and tries one final time to turn and this time having the ropes top help him get around and stay there.

Of course, as soon as James gets to the ropes, the ref begins to count. Cross was trying to untangle their legs as James was attempting to turn them over. Would he be able to get out of the submission before it was too late?
