Dear diary:

Mom took me to the pound today. It's this place where lots of animals with no homes are kept. Mom said as long as I proved responsible I could have a pet except she's not fully mine yet. See Tode's older than me and mom says he's fully responsible that's why his snake Wraithe is all his. But I'm too young to be fully responsible for an animal so enigma is half mine and when I'm older if mom thinks I did good the she will be all mine.

So we went to the pound and there were a lot of different animals to choose from. I was so nervous because I didn't want to make the wrong choice. A loud something growled at me and I accidentally dropped my orb. It rolled along the gross green coloured cement though some bars and into a pen. That's where I found Enigma Mom calls this fate.

So now I'm here at home writing in you and enigma is lying next to me on the floor in her dog bed. She's black with silver and gold question marks all over her. My favourite is a gold one where the hook of the mark goes around her eye. She wasn't as fancy as some of the other animals at the pound but she looked right to me so I chose her and mom helped me name her.

Now it's my responsibility to walk make sure she has clean water. She also has to go to classes that teach you to behave and be nice.

Anyways I'm tired and I can't think of anything else to say. I'll write in you again tomorrow.

Rocking the boat

"Now Tiwaz it's ok just remember don't move the rod till you see the bobber go under then pull back and forth and crank the reel" Talon lectured her daughter gently. She was slightly regretting deciding to use a fishing trip as a chance to bond with Tiwaz.

They'd been sitting out of the lake for an hour and hadn't caught a thing. Normally that wouldn't have bothered Talon because fishing could be tricky and it gave her time to think. Tiwaz on the other hand seemed to be over eager to catch something and kept nearly falling out of the boast in her eagerness to get a fish every time one bit. Naturally as she leaned forward they unhooked themselves and left.

It was only 7 in the morning and there was still a fair amount of fog on the lake. Tiwaz sat beside Talon in a small motor boat Talon had rented. The bright orange life vest Tiwaz was wearing clashed horridly with the girl's dark outfit and the black furred puppy between them. Determined to prove her responsibly she had insisted upon bringing Enigma with them. Personally Talon wondered if part of her daughter insistence hadn't been due to the fact that when last left alone Enigma had ripped apart a good deal of the house leaving Tiwaz a large mess to clean up after.

And alone she would have been as Talon had arranged for Tode, Psy and her nameless green jay to visit an acquaintance while she took Tiwaz out. She'd been concerned that they'd feel left out not that she could possibly have fished with that many of them anyways even on a pier and sitting close together Talon knew that her particular lot would be too hard to keep under control. Fortunately none of her charges had been bothered and she and Tiwaz were able to leave with no hard feelings.

As time past and Talon let her eyes wander as the sun rose in a beautiful collage of pink, purples and azures. The sunlight began to reflect off the lake making it glisten like glass and every now and then the local shorebirds would start up a little singing contest.

Tiwaz was silent, wings folded against her back under the large lifejacket, eyes taking in every detail of her surroundings. It was so strange for Talon to see her like this. While she was so far a normally calm child who watched and listened before taking action if she did at all she still managed to cause trouble almost without trying.

That and she had two very definite oddities about her. At first Talon had thought her eyes were tricking her but several days of documentation assured her that no it was true every time Tiwaz closed and opened her wings the silver patterns on them changed. This in and of itself confused Talon and when she'd asked Tiwaz about it the girl had merely shrugged.

The second things about Tiwaz that Talon didn't understand was the crystal orb that she carried around with her always never letting it leave her sight or touch for that matter despite the fact that she also rarely took off her gloves. It had been hell for Talon to attempt to get them off her long enough to clean them. Once again however Tiwaz held no answers, as far as she was concerned the orb felt right ad that was all that mattered. Currently the orb sat between Enigma's paws.

Talon watched as the red and white bobber sunk below the surface and as much as Talon want to coach Tiwaz, she can see her faced screwed up in concentration. Slowly but surely she reeled the fish in her rod dipping lower and thrashing about. Twice the fish broke the surface of the water sending water everywhere. Finally the fish was at the side of the boat slapping its body against it in vain.

"Ok Tiwaz now hold him still while I get the net" Talon turned her back to grab the small short poled net used to bring fish into the boat. Just as she turned back she saw Tiwaz lean over a strange gleam in her crimson eyes. Before Talon can drop the net and grab her she fell overboard.

Cold cold cold cold the water is cold and I'm wet and I can't see, I can hear Enigma barking , I can feel that I'm still holding the rod. Tiwaz's thoughts were fractured as she treaded water held aloft only by the life jacket.

"Tiwaz let go of the rod and swim over to me'' Talon called to her. much as she wanted to dive into the water and help her child she knew that if she did Enigma would follow suit and there was no way she could keep both from drowning considering the pup was too young to swim for long and Tiwaz would never forgive her if the mutt drowned. .
For a brief moment Talon wondered if she should have just taken her ice fishing in bass'ken instead of having them transported to another plain.

"I can't the fish will get away" Tiwaz called back getting water in her mouth. The cool water making her teeth ache. Up until now the fishing trip had been fun just her and her mom sitting there alone with no one else to bug them. Now she wished she'd was anywhere but here.

Carefully Talon manoeuvred moved the boat over to Tiwaz and then leaned down and pulled her from the water. Miraculously during all of this the fish had not managed to escape and after setting Tiwaz down Talon unhooked it and tossed it in the bucket.

Fear and anger flashed in Talon's eyes as she began to yell "Damnit Tiwaz. Don?t you ever disobey me again when I say stay still I mean stay still not le-?

"but mom I did do what you told me? Tiwaz interrupted "you told me to hold him still so I was trying to grab him I'm sorry I fell I was just excited cause he was my first fish sand he looks all scaly and shiny like Ezra and I wanted to make sure he didn't get away?

Talon sighed and stared at the sky as if expecting some great deity to appear and explain children to her particularly this one. "Ok I?m sorry you misunderstood what I meant next time we do something I?ll explain all the rules first? she apologised. This was going to kill her she knew it. War, famine, and many enemies hadn't but loving this little girl was going to be the death of Talon. For all she was a mature woman nothing in Talon's life had prepared her for the challenges of motherhood and every day something reminded her of it.

An hour later found Talon ad Tiwaz at home watching the crocodile hunter. Tiwaz was curled up in a lay z boy with a cup of hot lemon tea. She was wrapped in an old fur blanket Talon had brought from the attic. Talon was drying the girls drenched clothes though she had a feeling the different water contents of the lake they'd visited may have ruined the clothes forever. That was a bridge they would cross when they had too for now Talons still had five hours alone with her daughter and while Steve Irwin was not her favourite TV star nor necessarily a good role model she would be content to simply lay on the couch and watch he daughter experience the Australian outback, perhaps by observing her she would better understand the strange being she had given life to.

Dear diary

Yesterday we went shopping and it was so fun. Mom said I could decorate my room to suit me. First we went to a furniture store and I picked out be bed and couch and table... my room is so big. Mom says It's because I'm young and that when I'm older it will never be enough space. Anyway after I picked out my stuff mom paid for it and had it rushed delivered ( It got here today, which is really fast).

Next we went to a bookstore and Mom got me the little house on the prairie set to read with Tode. She says Tode and I can read them together and both get something out of it because the books get progressively harder to read as the main character gets older. This will make the books good challenges for me and fun to read for Tode because there's lots of adventure In them.

After the bookstore we went to this store that had cushions and mattresses and blankets and stuff. It was a really neat store and I liked all the different patterns on the blankets. Then we went to a bunch of other stores and boy toys and a video game system so I can improve my hand eye con-coordination. I think maybe mom wants me to let go of my orb more often so I will but I'm still going to have It close by because It fells weird when I don't. Oh yeah we also bought plants because they are neat and good for me. I really like how my new room looks.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v290/ladyumbra/roommaker.png

Mom says I should start making goals for myself cause they build character and give me something to strive for Instead of wandering aimlessly through life .I like to wander though, it leads me all about the neighborhood and I see new stuff anyway here are my goals

1. Learn to read and write better , all the big words I'm using I ask mom or Tode to help me spell or write for me.
2 Learn to meditate like mom does, mom also seems stronger and more well stronger after she meditates I wanna become a strong warrior so I need to learn how.

We also bought me lots of new clothes but clothes are too boring to talk about cept for my " hippy" outfit as mom call It. There's a
pair of bell bottom jeans and a tye dyed t-shirt, mom thinks I look odd in it and Tode just says I'm expressive .No one else had an opinion.

A howl from Enigma caused Talon's head to jerk towards the direction of them living room. Without further warning the pup bolted into the room scrabbled across the hardwood floor and launched her into my lap. Following hot on her heels was Tiwaz dressed as Zorro?

A badly made paper mask taped to her face along with a black towel was what gave Talon that impression. Then as Tiwaz pulled her left hand out and pointed an unbent clothes hanger at the Enigma, Talon wonderd what in the world had gotten into her daughter? The girl was normally much calmer and much more gentle with her special pet.

"Don't be afraid lady, they can smell fear, besides I won't let the evil rabid wolf near you". Tiwaz stated matter of factly. Her wings were still bent to her back to keep from interfering with her towel cape and she did look minutely menacing.

"Tiwaz brandishing a cloths hanger is not safe in the house, Enigma is no-"

"I'm not Tiwaz, I'm Zorro the people's warrior," She cut Talon off marking a 'z' in the air with the hanger and grinning at her mother, " Now very carefully push the wolf away from you"

Talon picked up the shivering pup and placed her on the floor. She supposed letting Tiwaz watch Zorro was a bad idea. Not that she minded her pretending to be Zorro so much as the coat hanger that could potentially hurt one of the others. It amused her a tiny bit to see that Tiwaz held the Smokey quartz orb in her right hand still refusing to let go of it despite being in another persona.

"Tiwaz err, Zorro I think this is a regular dog and the real rabid wolf is out there eating innocent people shouldn't you go save them." Talon suggested. With any luck Tiwaz would take her play outside and stab her nosy next-door neighbor.

With a nod, she whipped her " sword" about and saluted Talon before jamming the hanger through a belt loop in her pants and running out the door and up the stairs to her room. Talon lowered her head to the cool wooden table. Of all the heroes she had to pick as role model, why Zorro? Why not Spiderman, then at least she could convince her to be Peter Parker for a time and take pictures, or something. Though she did note that Tiwaz had been particularly pleased with being a warrior and Talon decided that as soon as she had time and felt that the girl was ready she was going to put her in weapons training. If Tiwaz was taking her name seriously she might as well put a real sword in her hands and teach her the basics. A child she was, but a child with a strange future ahead to be sure.

A half hour later, Talon dared to climb the stairs and open the door to Tiwaz's room. Tiwaz sat, plum coloured hair pulled back into a ponytail on her bed . She was straddling a pillow and waving the coat hanger in rhythmic timed strokes. Occasionally, it clashed against a long stick made of k'nex that was being held by a Mr. Potato head. Having noticed Talon, Tiwaz sheathed her sword in her pants, careful not to let it rip the mattress, then patted her pillow and smiled at Talon.

"Stay back please, senorita. My mount is uneasy. The Dark Don here has been ravaging the local town and ravishing the ladies of the villa. He must be defeated," she informed Talon, nodding towards the potato head. Talon seriously doubted Tiwaz had a clue what ravaging or ravishing meant and bet that the girl was simply mimicking lines from the movie.

She followed Tiwaz's gaze and noticed that a small village made of Lego and k'nex appeared to be in disarray and that several plastic figures were strewn about. A group of female G.I Joes purchased during their last outing was grouped together in a pile. Most likely the ravished women. Heeding her daughter's wishes, Talon backed up out of the room and stood in the hall. The girl was currently in no danger of harming himself or anyone else and soon enough he'd loose interest start cleaning up, and go off to listen to Tode read her various fairy tales.

"Dinner is in an hour senor, please have the Dark Don defeated by then and I shall treat you to a victory meal fit for a hero," Talon said and smiled at her daughter. Some part of her found it rather odd to refer to Tiwaz as a male but she figured that in time or an episode of Xena would allow her to realize that women would be the people's warriors. Then again Xena might not be such a good idea what with that metal throwing disk and all.

Tiwaz nodded, drew her sword and saluted Talon, before squeezing her knees together obviously urging her 'mount' foreword. "Hurry, Obsidian! The Dark Don flees from our justice."

Talon turned and walked away smiling it was interesting note that Tiwaz's first choice of people to emulate had been a hero. A warrior was not always a hero, well then again as they say to some benedict Arnold is the British hero and others the American traitor. It was entirely possible that because Talon had not introduced Tiwaz to a villain before a hero that she had influenced her choice. Of course only time would tell which path the warrior girl would take.

Dear journal:

Hi guess what Tode is teaching me to write better in you. he says I need to learn proper grammar and stuff so that when I go to school (a place you to learn, which is silly cause Tode's teaching me) I won't be left behind the other kids . Mom says I'm a pretty good speaker for my age but my writing isn't as good.

Oh did you know that green jays can mimic other birds. Ours likes to wake everyone up in the morning by pretending to be something different it's so neat today he was a singing type bird who name I don't remember for me.

Anyways I?m going to go brush Enigma and then moms going to teach me to play video games, something called Tetris I wonder what its likes. Tetris, tetris, tetris
It's a funny word to write and funny word to say out loud.

It was a quiet day at home and Tiwaz was bored out of her mind. Her mother was busy working, Tode was out visiting some friends, Enigma was at the vets and Psy was as usual refusing to have anything to do with anyone. The green jay had also disappeared which left her alone and bored. As she lay on the living room couch staring at the ceiling, her prayer for a reprieve from the dullness was answered.

"I'm here! I'm here I'm here I'm here I'm HERE! Look! Look look LOOK! Where'd yall go?" a voice broke Tiwaz out of her thoughts and she as a boy struggling to catch his breath, indigo wings flapping wildly and leaving a trail of loose feathers behind ran into the living room. "Hey guys~! Come see me! LOOK! LOOK, Hi Tiwaz" the boy continued breathlessly.

Under his arm was a tattered red and black frog stuffed animal. Where he'd acquired it, Tiwaz had no clue but she did know one thing. This strange boy standing before her yelling his head off was the green jay. The spiky hair on him was the same shade of green with black tips as the jays feathers had been. Mind you his indigo and pale yellow wing feathers were what caught her eyes the most. His wings were simply fantastic and she couldn?t take her eyes off them.

"Tiwaz hello I'm here talk to me, where is everyone? Oh yeah my name is Riycan" Rican said bouncing from foot to foot and looking about.

Tiwaz grinned well Riycan was much bigger and prettier now and he could talk so his changing couldn't have been all bad "Hi Riycan it's nice to see you all big except how come you had to be born bigger than me? "she said pouting. "An where did you get that plushie. Oh and moms busy working, Tode's gone out and Psy's locked himself in his room again.?

Riycan's blue eyes gleamed "not for long, my featherless brother shall not be alone oh no we must stick together, you go tell mom I'm home and I'll get Psy out of his room." Without waiting for Tiwaz to reply he bounded off down the hall towards Psy's room tossing his plushie in the air and catching it as he went.

Tiwaz stared after him for a moment then hook her head. Riycan was nice even if he was bigger than her and really loud and hyper. Maybe he'd go adventuring with her when she was a warrior; he could be her faithful sidekick. As she heard a rather loud yelp come from the direction of Psy's room she giggled than ran in the opposite direction towards his mother study. She couldn't wait to see the look on her mother's face when she told her about Riycan.

Dear Diary: We have a new baby named Andrea she's really cute and came in a box. Mom lets me hold her when I sit on the couch and she can watch me. I think babies are pretty but sort of boring because they don't do much. I'm writing in you in the car on the way to enigma and miens first puppy training classes. It's going to be lots of fun I'm sure . I'll write in you more another time.

P.S I hope Tode and Riycan stop fighting soon, it upsets mom and makes me not wanna play with them cause then one or the other might feel left out. I don't even get my stories read to me any more so I really really hope they stop soon

Metaplot

Wall, wall, another wall Tiwaz turned to see the fourth and grinned, four walls, four strong solid walls plus a ceiling and floor. " I win I win you can't get me" she crowed. The hooded people who perused her were out of luck for there was no way in or out of her creation. Tiwaz heard an unintelligible whisper and suddenly the floor beneath her shifted and she was sliding down a beam of darkness towards a rather unpleasant looking pool of bright orange liquid filled with triangular blue objects that bobbed up and down in it

"No fair I won." She whined. She was fast approaching the pool when she noticed that the darkness did not extend forever, grinning she rolled left until she fell off and was falling freely. She spread her wings and felt the membranes billow as they caught air and slowed her decent. By pure luck she landed on a blue triangle which began sinking under her weight.

Carefully she hopped from triangle to triangle, wings spread to give extra balance, avoiding the orange liquid and singing to drown out the approaching chanting. "Just put one foot in front of the other and soon you'll be walking cross the floororor just put one foot in front of the other and soon you'll be walking out the DOOR" she shouted.

Materialising out of nowhere a gilded door appeared and opened inwards as she touched a gloved finger to it. Not really caring what was inside and unable to see anything other than white light Tiwaz leapt off the platform and thought the doorway catching a glimpse of a multicoloured robe before the door slammed shut behind her.

Tiwaz sighed and set off across a bouncy field. Whatever the ground was made of here was exceptionally springy. Each step she took was like a tiny jump, under normal circumstances Tiwaz would have delighted in playing in a 't playing fair, the idea of the game as far as she could figure out was for them to catch her , her job was to run, hide or make it so they couldn't and she had she'd made a room no one could get in and then they'd broken it and made her fall and. Growling she crossed her arms and refused to walk any further.

With a huff she sat down bouncing slightly, she was going to wait right here until those people got here and she was going to tell them she'd won and call them rotten cheaters and.. and .. and then she was going home.

Moments later the sound of low chanting filled her ears and the ground beneath her rumbled . The white sky turned a noxious pink streaked with yellow and less than a foot away the shaking black ground split open and a pair of gloved hands grabbed each side of the slowly widening chasm. Tiwaz grinned, they were coming and boy was she going to tell them off before she left.

Tiwaz grinned in her sleep momentarily before her eyes opened and she gave a frustrated sigh. Andrea was wailing at the top of her tiny little lungs for food, despite being fond of the baby Tiwaz really wished she could have been quiet just a bit longer so she could have yelled at the cheaters. Aware that sleep would be impossible again for at least an hour she reached up and turned on her lamp before grabbing a the book that lay beside it. Dream fading fast Tiwaz delved into the adventures of a family of goats and a troll.

(Rhea, Tiwaz playdate)
Paying Back the Favor

Rhea had come to Tiwaz's house, looking for the other little girl. She had found something that was perfect for her, and she'd been dying to give it to her. Rhea had worn the purple beaded bracelet that Tiwaz had given her every day since. It rarely was removed from her wrist--and when it was, it was for showers only. She wanted to give her friend something to repay her--a token of their friendship.

And of course, Rhea had good taste in crystals and jewelry. She hoped Ti could appreciate it too.

Pushing her thumb into the doorbell, Rhea waited for someone to answer the door. Again this time, Munich had escorted her to the house, but she stayed outside, waiting. She'd rather not socialize with any of Rhea's friends--only if it was necessary.

The door swung open and the two were greated to the sight of a half naked preteen with a red and blackfrog plushie on his head and grean and yellow wings. " Hey there , did mom adopt you to? Becuase she promised not to adopt any more things untill we were all older and agreed and hey that's a cute little fairy thing there can it talk, Mork dosen't talk but he can fly on a dragon, well a dragon kite. i wanna fly but i can't yet and there aren't any kites that big."making no move to invite the girls in Riycan simply stood inthe doorway babbling happily.

Rhea looked confused. This kid liked to talk just as much as she did! But could he answer questions?

"I'm Rhea, and no, I'm not going to be your new sister. Kites are cool. They can go really high into the air. You can do tricks with them too you know. Anyways, I'm friends with Tiwaz. Is she here?" she asked, tapping her foot on the concrete below her.

Before Rhea could introduce Munich, she turned around to see that the fairy was no longer there. She'd probably flown off to the Fleet HQ. Regardless, she'd be back in time to get Rhea. She was practically at Rhea's beck and call...Telepathy made that possible, as Munich couldn't tune out her bonded's voice as it rang through her head.

Riycan smiled and stepped into the house " Oh ok then yeah she's here, in the living room trying to beat threads of fate".

"I was trying to beat the game I've stopped before I broke the controller." From down the hall Tiwaz appeared and grinned at Rhea "I'm so glad you came over it's so boring here with only boys to play with and there usualy arguing with each other so if i play with one the others feel left out. " Tiwas was thrilled to see her friend and her expression showed it well. " Come in and we'll go to my room and talk."

"Threads of Fate?" she looked puzzled. Rhea didn't have video games at home. Elysia believed that she had been raised without them, so why should she give them to her children, who would sit in front of the TV mindlessly, tapping at buttons. "What's that?"

Following him inside, she heard Tiwaz's voice, soon followed by the girl herself. "Hi!" she exclaimed, grinning widely at her friend. "Yeah, I can understand how it'd get boring to play with boys all the time. Let's go!" She grabbed Tiwaz's hand and let herself be led toward her room.

Tiwaz resisted the urge to skip as she safely navigated herself and Rhea to her room. " Threads if fate is this cool roleplay game where you can either be this boy who lost his memory and can turn into animals or a spoilt princess who got chased from her home by pumpkins. She fights with magic rings and the ability to jump kick people. I like the princess story better."

Kicking some stuffed animals into a corner she gestured towards several bean bag chairs. " Pick a colour any colour." Like many childrens rooms there were various toys scatterd about the room andthe bed was unmade, sheets intertwined with the comferter. Tiwaz blushed "umm sorry bout the mess mom says i think the floor is a low flat shelf. which it sort of is."

Rhea happily followed her into her room, amazed to see the clutter. Rhea's room was always neat and clean, and if she did get something out, she'd always put it away when she was done using it. Rhea just giggled softly. She supposed it was probably Chaos' doing that Ti was a little messy. It seemed appropriate.

"Well, it certainly sounds like a fun game. I don't play video games at home. Maybe later I can try?" she asked, her crimson eyes brightening. "I'll bet I'd like the princess story too! She sounds like an okay fighter."

Taking off her shoulder-bag, Rhea plopped down on the nearest beanbag. Settling in, she took further notice of the things in Ti's room. "It's okay Ti. I should have expected that your room would be a bit messy...After all, you are the embodiment of Chaos on Gaia..." she laughed, and sat back in the chair. "So how have you been?"

Tiwaz grinned and nodded" Sure and I even promise no to help you and let you figure stuff out on your own, you might even be able to finish the whole game if you stay long enough, or if you sleapt over, becuase that would be cool and we could make a fort in my room and make travel plans and mom would make hot choclate and scrabble and I'd promise not to let Enigma try to sleep on you."

She briefly conisderd Rhea's explanation as to why she was messy,it was possible and she wondered of the excuse would work on her mom. suddenly curiousshe focused her attention on rhea again " Hey why did you come over, not that i'm not happy to see you."

Rhea had a look of excitement on her face as Tiwaz made plans for their future slumber party. "That sounds like a great time Ti! It'll be my first video game experience...and forts and hot chocolate and Scrabble! It sounds great. I'd have to ask my mom though--"

She paused, a bit taken aback by Ti's forwardness. "Oh, yeah. I guess I did have a reason for coming over...So, you know how you made me a bracelet?" She held up her wrist, showing off the bracelet that she'd been wearing since she'd gotten it. "I found something nice for you! I picked out the beads, and then put it together myself. Here--" She dug in her bag, and finally found the flat white jewelry box that contained the necklace. "I hope you like it. I thought it was perfect for you." Her cheeks flushed a little...She hoped Tiwaz would like it.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v280/eliza_bethean/Tall Tales/Tiwaznecklace.jpg

Tiwaz had been pleased that Rhea was looking foreward to the thought of a sleepover, she liked being around the other girl since they shared so much in common. Lifting the lid of the jewlery box she peered inside. " Rhea I it's beauitfull and the colours and the butterfly, mom says there's somethign about Chaos and butterflies and " She looked up her eyes filled with happiness "This is so nice you didn't need to but i'm really happy you did and I'll wear it all the time and never take it off." Tiwaz carefully put the necklace on and grinned" feels like it belongs on me, thank you so much."

Tiwaz felt like her own gift planed in comparison but Rhea had seemd so happy with it so maybe that's how gifts worked if you really want it to be special for someone than it is. Rhea must certianly have worked hard to make the necklace special becuase Tiwaz knew that she treausred it more than anythign she owned.

Rhea giggled, happy that Tiwaz liked the necklace so much. "Yay! I'm glad you like it! I thought the butterfly was fitting for some reason. I liked that it had your hair and eye color in the pendant too. It looks really great on you," she added, admiring the necklace that now hung around the girl's neck. "It's held together by psychic energy--that's why there isn't any wire or string connecting the beads...I helped the woman put it together, using a bit of my own power...So, it's got a bit of me in it too," she said, looking down, her face turning red. She fingered the beads of the purple bracelet on her own wrist. Now, she had given her new best friend something to remember her by. They were even.

" wow you must be pretty strong to do that, i wish i had storng powers like you. and it's neat that it has you in it so we can always be togeahter you knowand if anythign ever goes bad i'll always know that my best friend ever is with me." thought tiwaz missed Ezra she had known him only for a short while and Rhea and her connected so much better. " Hey wait if it uses that special energy does that mean you can hear my thoughts when I wear it? becuase that would be cool, if when were older and traveling and I needed you help all i'd have to do would be to think to you." Tiwaz was enjoyign herself immensely, in her midn she was connected to another being that wasn't Chaos. Rhea was with her and the part of her that was nervous about being alone in he mind with only Chaos and order was soothed by the idea that even if she wasn't really arounf or able to help her rhea was there in her own way.

Rhea blushed further. "Well, the lady at the shop helped me a lot. I couldn't have done it by myself." Rhea was astonished to see Tiwaz so...nostalgic. She hadn't had a friend like this yet, and it made her happy. What's a girl without a best friend?!

Rhea nodded, agreeing with Tiwaz. "Yes, I'll definitely be there if you need me!" she exclaimed, giving Ti a firm squeeze on the shoulder. "Well, I'm not sure if I can hear you now...the necklace will amplify your own psionic powers a bit, 'cause everyone has some, so I should be able to hear you eventually. But once I get older, it'll get easier. I just have to keep working on my powers. Maybe you'll have to shout at me until I get better." She giggled, and twisted around in her beanbag chair to face the other wavy-haired child. "But one day, I'll bet we can just talk back and forth, really quickly, and easily." Her eyes glittered, as she planned for their future. "Do you think Chaos will care?" she asked, her voice dropping to a whisper--as if it would matter! She was sure that Chaos heard everything.

Tiwaz shook her head smiling " Mom thinks that so long as it's in my best interest Chaos won't interfere with things I do from now on unless whatever I'm doing threatens it's power over me. I can't wait till we can talk quickly in our heads though because then we can plan all the time and play funny pranks on people."

For Tiwaz the future was a for more interestign topic than the present, after all inthe future she and her friends would travel and fight and she'd be in control. now she could barely hug one brother without a another getting jealous and even her baby sister bossed her around.Being little had soem advantages but when you were older the world was better she was sure of it.

"Well, as long as Chaos doesn't do anything crazy to me if I try to head-talk with you, it'll be okay. I'll always be here to protect you if you need it Ti," she said, nodding furiously. "It will be fun to play pranks too! Maybe I shouldn't tell many people about my powers," she said, thinking out loud. "What do you think? I dunno. Most people I've met so far haven't been too upset with it...Just Chaos."

Leaning back into her beanbag chair, Rhea looked up at the ceiling, and then around the room, taking in all of Tiwaz's belongings. She and Ti seemed to have a lot in common.

Tiwaz sat and listened to Rhea speak simply enjoying being in her friends presence. While Rhea's voice didn't have the musical quality their friend ameretet's did it was pleasant and gave Tiwaz an idea . " Hey since I can't plan on an empty stomaach and mom will probably bring us snacks soon why don't we sing till the food comes. We can practise being singers as a disguise while we trave;. if we don't practise we wont sound right and no one wil beilieve us and we'll get caught." The ideas were now flowing in Tiwaz's head, singing followed by food then borrowing some of her mothers make up for making disguises and then map making and goals like being able to weild a sword in a certain amont of time. " I've got lots of cd's and i can even borrow soem of my brothers if we're carefully not to scratch them"

Rhea's face reddened a tinge...She wasn't sure if singing was her thing...or if she was any good at it. "Well, I can try singing," she said, wanting to at least try for Ti. Hopefully she wouldn't embarass herself too much. "I've never really done it before though, so I don't know how good I am."

She paused, considering the benefits of being able to sing.

"I guess you are right. Our singing would make for a good disguise. I need to start learning to swing a sword too. Jiro said he could teach me, but he was kind of intimidating. I don't think he likes me much..."

"Hmm I need to have my weapon find me before I can practise with it." Tiwaz frowned " I hope I won't end up holding you back." Both girls wanted to journey togeather but Tiwaz was younger than Rhea and who knew when they would grow up.

" Everyone can sing even a little. You just have to practise by doign it all the time like during car rides and when you shower, that's when Riycan sings." Tiwaz beamed at Rhea " If we practise a lot we'll have the best disguise ever and maybe even make money to help us keep traveling."standign up she walked over to her CD player and fiddled around with it for a minute " Tell me a song you know and I'll see if I have it"

"Well, even if I find my weapon first, I'll wait for you. I wouldn't want to go all by myself," she said, giving her friend a hopeful look. "Even if I grow, I'll help you train, or anything you need. Because I think we should stick together." She nodded vehemently, giving her friend a squeeze on the shoulder.

"A song?" Rhea listened to some music with words...but she wasn't sure that the songs she knew were songs Ti knew. Her mom listened to some strange music--and it certainly wasn't anything played on the radio. "Um...I dunno. Old McDonald?" She shrugged her shoulders. After all, she was just a child, and those were the kinds of songs Elysia liked to sing to her. "I know some Disney songs too," she offered.

"Disney, oh I have Disney stuff" Tiwaz said nodding. Much like many children her age Tiwaz found the songs composed for Disney movies to be catchy and enjoyable. Placing a Cd in her player she turned to smile at her best friend " oh if your sort of here another voice singing outside of the room that's Riycan he's sort of nosy and likes to feel involved in everything." returnign to Rhea's side Tiwaz sat down and waited for the first song to start to play.

"Yeah, Mom has made me watch all of her favorite Disney movies. She even gave me her old tapes of Disney songs from when she was a kid. So, I do know some of those...My favorites are from the Little Mermaid, Aladdin and the Lion King, though almost every movie has at least one good song..."

She looked toward the door, wondering if she'd really hear Riycan sing. "Oh yeah? He's nosy huh? Do you not get along very well?" she asked, never having met Tiwaz's brother.

"What are we going to sing first?" she asked.

Tiwaz shook her head and smiled " Riycan and I get along great he's my second favorite brother, but it dosen't mean he can't be weird or annoying sometimes. I'm not sure which song will coem out becuase it's set to randomizer, I like music best when I don't know whats coming.Suddenly following the girls words the first few notes of part of your world filted out of the cd player.

The girls filled the rest of the afternoon singing and talking about their future travels. Though Rhea had initially been afraid of this girl, she was slowly becoming Rhea's best friend. It was good to have another girl her age to hang out with, and she was impressed by Ti's power. It looked as if the pair would soon be a force to reckon with...

Dear journal:

I've been meeting a lot of people lately and making lots of new friends which is neat. Chaos hasn't come back yet and it makes me happy and feel less like property which really mad me sad. Of course mom says it was only Order inserting feelings into me that made me sad but still. Anyways Rhea is my best friend ever and we traded jewlery and now I have a necklace thats contains part of her powers in it so she's always with me. She calls me Ti as a nickname and I think that's really cool. So far I have met four other Tales and they are all different. I have to go to the birthday party of another Tale now so I'll write another entry about what happens there later.

Tiwaz Tesseract.
