Together. Learn the meaning of the word fun, together. When was the last time his tribe had done anything fun together? Nato could remember a time when the Lunarie tribe was always together. Not so separated as they were now. What had happened? Why were they so split now?
Nato shook his head. The why part didn't matter. Time didn't matter. Anja was still here and they were going to rediscover fun. Together. Perhaps this was the way to bring the tribe together. Slowly help everyone rediscover the joys of being a Lunarie memeber.
So the chase was on. Nato did a quick stretch before taking off in the direction of the purple and blue vixen. Although she had gotten a head start, she wasn't too far ahead of him. He speed up his pace a bit so that he was slowly gaining on her. What was he going to do when he caught of with her? If he caught up with her that is. Tag her? Just run with her? Nato decided he'd figure it out once he got that far and concentrated on just catching his friend.

Anja kept ahead of her friend for awhile, but eventually her legs tired and she slowed some. Subborn as always though she ran on until eventually a stumbled over an upturned tree root sent her tumbling hard to the ground.
"Oof!" Anj thudded hard on her chest before pushing herself up enough to spit the dirt out of her mouth. Well this was super graceful on her part. Clearly she'd gotten older, because she could still remember the days where she was one of the most agile and coordinated foxes in the pack.
She heard Nato running behind her and smiled to herself. If she had to get old, at least she wasn't doing it alone. Too winded to get up and run again, the oldest Lunarie vixen simply rolled onto her back as she waited for her friend to catch up with her.

Well, he was gaining on her... For a short period of time. Nato had slowed tremendously as he followed Anja. He hadn't realized just how out of shape he was until he had begun chasing her. There was no way he was going to catch her. Hopefully she'd have pity on him and slow down.
He had slowed to a light trot when he saw Anja fall. Nato hadn't realized he had taken off in a mad dash towards her until he was skidding to a stop next to her, trying to catch his breath. Grey eyes darted around wildly as he tried to assess the damage and figure out what had happen.
He always knew there was a reason he had never played tag as a kit. Someone always got hurt and he always had to fix them.
"Are you alright, Anja?" He asked as calm and quickly as he could, trying to suppress the panic that rose inside of him. Even if she wasn't alright, she would be with him there. He knew he'd be able to have her fixed up in no time. But she didn't seem hurt, or badly hurt anyway, at the moment so Nato allowed himself to relax.

Anja couldn't help but laugh at the panicked look on Nato's fine. "I'm just fine, worrywart," she teased gently. "I tripped on a root, but I only winded myself." To prove her point she rolled back up onto her feet, shaking dirt and leaves out of her fur.
"So much for being as good a runner as I was in my youth," she chuckled. "I used to be able to beat Rendo no matter what. But I suppose he's aged too." With her fur free of annoying dirt, she sat back down next to her friend.
"A lot's changed since we became a tribe, hm? But I think we're finally getting out of the worst of the storm." She smiled fiantly and looked up at the moon.

She was fine. Nato let out a sigh of relief. He didn't know what he'd do if something were to happen to Anja. She was the only real friend he had left. Anja was special to him. Nothing bad was allowed to happen to her.
"Are you sure nothing hurts?" Nato asked, double checking. It never hurt to double check. Seeing that she was alright Nato laid down next to the purple and blue vixen and listened to her speak.
"The tribe has changed a lot. And I have a feeling that it's not finished changing. I hope you're right about getting through the worst of the storm. I don't know how much more the tribe would be able to take." He followed Anja's gaze to the moon and hoped it would help soothe their troubles.

"I'm sure I'm alright," Anj laughed, a rare sound these days. She laid down with Nato, pressed shoulder-to-shoulder with her best friend. He was one of two friends she had left, but even Thea...they probably could be closer. She'd have to work on that soon.
She looked away from the sky and back to Nato. "I think we'll be okay. If nothing else, I see tonight that you and I will be okay. To me, that is a very good sign." She nuzzled his cheek in a friendly gesture and offered a reassuring smile.

Nato closed his eyes as he felt Anja nuzzle his cheek. Her words were so reassuring and chased away the thoughts of doubt in his mind. He knew that Anja was only being friendly, but for a moment, Nato felt an old spark within him flare up. A spark that he hadn't felt in years. It had been so long since Nato had enjoyed time with a vixen of his own age that he had almost forgotten how enjoyable it was. Sitting there with her, the troubles of his tribe and family seemed to leave him. The pain of Amira leaving him seemed so far away now. For now, it was just him, Anja, and a beautiful night.
After he opened his eyes, Nato looked at Anjafey and offered her a kind smile. He felt closer to her now than he had when they were kids. Somehow she had helped begin the healing process on an old wound inside of him. As he smiled at her, he wondered if he could do the same for her.
"Yes," he told her, still smiling. "That is a very good sign indeed." Not having anything else to add, Nato decided to simply enjoy the moment instead of continuing on or changing the subject.
