"Keep that where the demon can't get to it," said Edward; "I've heard many horror stories of a demon striking a contract." The paper shone briefly, and he smiled a little bit. "Of course, we have demons of our own to prevent that. Customer service, and all."
Sofiel is not customer service, said the banshee.
He sighed and then held out the smaller slip of paper. "If you could sign this as well? It absolves the shop of any responsibility--simply just in case, you understand--while allowing me to assist you if it is necessary."

"Of course." First Jade shot Strix a look before she put her copy in her purse. "I may need some help in the future, we'll see I guess." She wasn't sure if she would tell her father all of the details but he always had this way of knowing. Jade scrawled her signature across the small waiver.
Strix, at the sound of Banshee, grinned bigger and started looking around for her. He was interested in her. His teeth clacked in their birdlike manner. "Thaaaaank you for your assistance, Sir and Laaaady."
Jade could already tell that this Strix would be a handful. "Do you just.. disappear? Or are you going to hover around behind me all day?" She honestly had no idea.
Strix tilted his head unnaturally far to the side. "I am a free being too Miss Jaaaade. But if it bothers you..." He made an exaggerated sad face, causing her just for a second to feel like some sort of bully. As soon as her own expression fell, just slightly, the Strix burst into mad laughter. In another torrent of feathered wind, he was gone.

Edward nodded. "As you will, Miss Mixlin. I'll contact you should something of import come up." He was signing the waiver himself and tucking it away in a drawer as he spoke.
"Do you require anything else," asked the dark-haired man; "if not, I'll bid you good day."

"No.. I guess not." Jade blinked, somehow surprised it ended that swiftly. "Thank you. Very much. And if you need anything from me, information or observation.." She shrugged one last time and gave him a small way before she shouldered her purse and found herself back outside in the misty air.
