The Negaverse girl loomed close, and Parker drew in a steady breath. From his previous encounter, he knew how strong they could be. Last time, someone else had distracted them so he could get away. Where was his scapegoat tonight? Sweat prickled across his brow, hands gripping her arm as it came near him.

And then she reached into his chest.

A sudden coldness filled him, and Parker cringed. He had no idea what was happening, but it hurt and it was creepy. He tried to slide away, but her fingers were digging deeper. His eyes slipped shut. Parker tried to catch him open.

It was like a flipbook of events:

Redhead looking evil.
Redhead looking really evil.
Blur of pale blue behind her.
Oddly-dressed girl grabbing her hair.
Oddly-dressed girl looking shocked.
Oddly-dressed girl screaming, "Run!"

For once, Parker was relieved to see a senshi. It was a shame he couldn't do as she asked. The fingers in his chest seemed to lock him in place. His hands gripped the girl's wrist, trying to keep her from getting any farther.

At the last second, he lifted one leg and tried to kick the Negaverse agent in the shin.

She could feel it, the coolness and then her fingers brushed against it, just a little further...

"OUCH!" Someone just pulled her hair? They pulled HER hair? Her first reaction was to try and reach further but with a girl pulling her hair and the boy holding her wrist she knew that wasn't going to happen. She didn't want him getting away though. Instead as he went to kick her she attempted to knee him somewhere that would hopefully hurt enough to stop him running off. She didn't pay all that much attention to whether it did hurt him. Instead she turned around to slap the ******** b***h. You do not pull MY hair when yours... is that disgusting." Really it was horrible. Just look at it oh and the girls earrings. Sassolite wasn't even sure she wanted to fight someone who looked that disgusting but then again at least it would be one less fashion disaster in the world. Maybe she could get the senshi's star seed while she was at it.

Well she wasn't expecting tonight to be this interesting. Oh well her first senshi and it would be the senshi's last night in the world. Then she would turn back to that good for nothing male.

Magellan liked to think she wouldn't have gotten slapped if she wasn't distracted by Parker. It might have been true, might not have been. All she knew was, her hand had gone slack enough in the girl's red locks that she was able to get free, and the next thing she knew, her cheek was alive with the sharp, stinging pain that could only mean a slap. It was insulting, and damn it, it hurt enough to make her eyes water.

It also snapped her back to reality.

Seeing that the Negaverse chick wasn't going after Parker at just the moment, Dani spewed venom. "You are so going to regret that," and, balling her hand into a fist, she threw all her weight behind it.

Magellan was not a girl who slapped. Magellan was a girl who punched, bit, clawed, pulled hair, kneed wherever it was appropriate... Magellan was a melee fighter. Maybe not very experienced, but she'd done enough grappling with youma to be able to fight dirty and fast.

This time, even more was on the line than just herself. It was Parker.

She was also not afraid to get hurt, which meant she was diving back in for more, near feral anger on her face, throwing everything she had at the Negaverse girl in the hopes that Parker would take the hint and get the hell out of Dodge.

The red-headed girl was insane. Absolutely insane.

It took Parker a second to recognize that it was a sailor senshi standing over her shoulder, but the girl seemed to care very little. She was nearly as indifferent to Parker as a threat as she was to the new girl. His kick was off-set by her knee, and he turned his hips sharply to avoid the more painful blow. The momentum, unfortunately, sent him stumbling forward. He landed hard on his cast and let out a sharp cry. Damnit, the thing was supposed to come off in a few days. Why did he have to continually re-injure it?

The fall winded him. Parker glanced over to the struggling pair. The senshi looked sort of insane too. At least she was being insane on his behalf. A better person might have said thank you, and though the thought crossed Parker's mind, he still had a chip on his soldier about both the senshi and the negaverse. Even now, this fight was just a sign of his weakness and their strength. Why did they get to have power while he was the one being jerked around like a rag doll?

It took him a few minutes, but Parker staggered to his feet. The pain from the girl reaching into his chest made the idea of running unbearable. Instead Parker tried to stumble away, but his path was zig-zagging. The near starseed theft had taken a toll.

Sassolite was not impressed by this girl. In all the blows and fighting she still had time to notice the senshi's earrings and if it wasn't for the fact that she was having to defend herself she would have without a doubt made some really bitchy comment about why she had puff things in her ears.

As for regretting anything, Sass was starting to enjoy herself. She wasn't a fighter with all the sports she had done, fighting in any shape or form hadn't been one of them but she could move and so she could defend. She could also be a b***h and so she went for fists of hair which the senshi seemed to have a lot of. She always tried to punch the girl, not that Sass was very strong but she had heard it was an easy way to break someone's nose if you managed to punch their nose she she tried at the very least. However getting a punch in when you kept getting hit by a crazed senshi wasn't the easiest of things.

Oh she wanted this senshi. Oh the praise she would get for one less senshi in the world.

"Is that all you have b***h? No magic tricks? Shame.." She smirked as she moved towards the girl again. This time she was aiming a punch at the girls stomach. If she winded her she would grab the girl's star seed and then go finish getting the boys. Oh that would make tonight perfect! Ridding the world of one ugly senshi and one messed up boy.

(( OOC: Remove and I discussed the fight in PMs, so I'm just wrapping it up! Sorry it took so long for me to tag. @_@ I felt this had been waiting too long on me, so I'd like to move it along. ))

As pissed as Magellan was, she didn't particularly enjoy the fact that she was getting hit nearly as often as she landed punches of her own. If it had just been her, she probably would have stayed and fought until the battle was through, but she had Parker to think about. Parker, who looked like he'd been about to pass out or something after the girl's hand had been removed from his chest, and she couldn't let that happen.

Not that she didn't think she could hoist him over her shoulder and run, because she was sure she could, but that would make things more difficult than she wanted them to be. She'd gotten a good deal of her anger out punching the Negaverse Lieutenant, but she had to take a step back and get Parker to safety. He was more important than winning the fight.

Okay, winning the fight was pretty goddamn important. But this was a human life, Parker's life. If anything happened to him because she hadn't been able to back down, she wouldn't be able to forgive herself.

Still, it was hard, and she continued to grapple with the red head, tears stinging her eyes when fistfuls of her hair were caught and yanked on. Oh, the b***h fought like a girl, that was for sure. Magellan was all fists and knees, clawing where she could; she would have bit, too, if she'd been close enough. When she finally managed to throw the girl back, slamming her into a wall, she smirked in satisfaction.

The smirk was short-lived, however, as the red-head gasped, began to move forward again. If she was going to take a chance to escape with Parker, it had to be then.

For a second, she still hesitated. Swearing, she wrenched the puffballs from her head, slammed them together. "Powder Puff!"

It grated on her pride, made her stomach feel hollow as it did flips, but when the powder filled the air, she jumped back. She could see in it, but she was the only one; hands sought Parker, gripped his upper harm harshly as she dragged him away from the scene. She was glad to have him safe, glad that she was getting away with him in one piece, but she was still viciously disappointed that the Negaverser was getting off with little more than bruises.

She'd be sore as hell, just as Magellan would, but it wasn't enough.

As they ran, leaving the red head behind, Magellan swore, "Damn it."

(( Deri, my dear, I think I'm going to wrap this too since it's so old. Hope it is okay! ))

Parker was stumbling blindly when the powder erupted. If he was frantic before, he was terrified now. The boy let out a guttural sound, and then there was a hand on him -- a strong hand -- tugging him away. He fought and slapped. "No!" he shouted, convinced this must be the redhead girl returning to rip his heart from his chest.

The girl was too strong and more or less carried him away. His mind was racing fast, but the only face he could see was Dani's. Was this how he was to die? Parker spent more time than he would like to comtemplating his death. Before it had been with the grim fascination of a teen obsessed with the horror of freak accidents, but now, it was more real, more immediate. In the park when he was attacked by the Negaverse, Parker felt it too -- the cool grip of death. And he was tired of it. He was tired of being the victim. Yet, here he was, about to be a victim all over again.

After a few minutes, the pair broke from the powder fog, and Parker gasped for breath, glaring up at the girl who pulled him. But it wasn't her. Well, it wasn't the bad her. It was the senshi. Relief slipped through his lips before Parker could remind himself to hate what the senshi represented too.

The girl seemed to know exactly where she was taking him without Parker saying a word. He could see Hillworth looming up ahead -- the barred windows and brick facade. "Hillworth," he said, distaste in his mouth. They came to an abrupt stop near his window, and again, Parker was confused.

He stared at the girl who had saved his life. There was pain in his eyes. And embarrassment. Confusion, distrust, and fear mixed together in the frowning of his mouth. Jealously, too -- a lot of envy. There was no gratitude. His face said you did what you were supposed to do. There was no thank you. The emotions warred on his face, and Parker turned around with a grimace, offering nothing to the girl who looked unfamiliar to him.

Parker crossed the wet grass and crept back into his bedroom without a word, leaving Sailor Magellan alone in the dark street.
