The waitress wrote it down, nodded, and ran off frantically. Tiashi laughed, "She's still as shy as a year ago." Tiashi messed with the specials list on the table. She looked around, "You notice this place is never as crowded as the Coffee and Ice Cream Shoppe?"

Peter Balin Peter heard the door open and hoped that it was Amelia but found out it was only two high school students. Drat, he thought as he went back to reading his book, which was Hannibal Rising by Thomas Harris.I wonder what's taking her so long, Peter thought as he took another sip from his chai tea.

"Me and my parents used to come all the time before mom got her writing job and dad got laid off work," Tiashi said. "I remember I always would get a grilled cheese or mac and cheese." The waitress came back with their order. Tiashi sucked down her tea through her straw.

"I didn't know that," Tiashi said quietly. She just looked at her sandwich. Her phone went off signaling she had a text. She picked it up, put it on vibrate, and went back to paying attention to him.

"Yeah Nathan and Ashley look up to me." Zach said. "I've had a lot of stress in my life I'm actually surprised that I'm stable right now." He told her sadly.

Zach looked at her. "My sister Ashley is one of the only people who kept me from doing something stupid all those years." He told her with a smile. "If not for her I would probably be dead from doing something crazy." He added with a smile. "And you said writing to calm yourself?" He asked. "Do you mean your mom?"

"It has nothing to do with mom. I enjoy writing and drawing is all. Instead of punching stuff or jumping off bridges or hanging myself, I draw or write." Tiashi said.
