Description: Shina has curly dark brown hair that she keeps in a ponytail or braids, tan skin, and dark brown eyes. She is 5'3" and weighs 115lbs. Shina wears her Mist Village hatai-ate around her neck. She also wears contacts, but prefers Transitions glasses when she can get away with it. She was recently made a Chuunin, and has a Kekkei Genkai.
Personality: Shina loves to read more than anything. You'll find her either at the bookstore, or asking someone where the nearest bookstore is (if she doesn't know the town). She loves reading shounen-ai and yaoi, and carries at least one everywhere. A warm-hearted girl, Shina is a little shy until you can get her to open up. She's a good person to go to for advice, but often needs advice herself. She has a great many friends in all the villages she's been to, and enjoys being around happy people and seeing people smile. She can't go to sleep without music, so she sometimes hums herself to sleep on missions. She never knew her real parents and so mourns them but does not miss them; she has, however, wondered what they were like. More than anything, she misses her best friend, who dissapeared when she was five.
Bio: Shina's mother was found shot with five arrows on the edge of the Hidden Mist Village. An emergency C-section was performed, and her mother named her right before she died. All they know of Shina's mother and father is the engraving on the silver heart necklace she wore, which said 'Kita+Akira Forever'. The necklace was place around baby Shina's neck, and she hardly ever took it off when she got older. Shina was raised under the principle 'it takes a village to raise a child' and so was given the last name 'Mura', or 'from the village'. 'Shina' means 'virtue' or 'good'. She was given to a young bookseller who had lost her husband a few months before and was with child. The woman, Mine, was a good mother to both Shina and the son she bore three months later, who she named Kin. Shina was known to the village as 'Gin', for the silver necklace she wore, and together they were Silver and Gold. When Shina was three she developed a Kekkei Genkai; she could control water. Mine told her to never let anyone find out about it or they would hurt her. Two years later, she had forgotten this warning and showed her best friend. Not realizing there was anything special about it, she told him to try and surprisingly, he managed. Running off, he told her he would see her the next day; he had to show his mom his new trick. But the next day, Mine kept Shina and Kin indoors and wouldn't even let them near the windows. A week later, Shina found out that her best friend's parents were both dead and her friend missing. Distraught, she vowed then to become a great ninja so that she could protect her 'family'. She has searched for years, but has never found her childhood friend.
