I'll get you next time senshi, and your little redhead too... The imp looked down and if looks could have killed, Imogen and Vanadis would have hit the floor in two seconds flat. Vengence sworn, he tucked himself into an underhang like an overgrown spider, wrapping his arms around himself and trying to get his inner fires smoldering and sparking again. He felt very put out to say the least.
Exit the imp, stage up.
*
"You won." She confirmed with a very watery smile, as the senshi turned her way. It was terribly cute, how the other girl was doing a little victory dance, her hair (ponytail? pigtails? braid? Imo couldn't be sure due to the senshi's glamour) twirling around her. Maybe she'd not fought many monsters? Youma. Whatever. They were monsters even if that was the incorrect term.
"Thankyou, I'm...I'll be okay I think, it's just my hands." She held out her hands, palms up, and winced when the rain first hit them. The skin was shiny red and angry. Scorched from where she'd been holding her bat when the imp had set it on fire. If there hadn't been fire she'd have tried hitting him around the head with the bat. But ever since waking up after Barren Pines and Sue had told her there'd been a dorm fire, Imo was rather shakey when it came to flames. Who knew why.
"I'm useless around fire. I'm sorry I couldn't help more."

"A-are you kidding?! I'd never have won if it wasn't for y-you!" Vanadis looked slightly outraged, both at the singed red skin on her friend's hand and her sudden self-depreciative attitude. "You were like, um, moral support and that's just a-as good as fighting." And she looked like she meant it, too.
Which just made it all the more unfair that Imo was the only one who'd gotten hurt. "We n-need to get you to the hospital. Or get some bandages for y-your hands or something." And some water. And gosh darn it, they couldn't even go back to Vanadis' apartment, could they? Because then the ruse would be up (she was still boggling that it wasn't already, but that was a mystery to solve another day) and that'd probably be bad.
There wasn't much point in a secret identity if it wasn't, you know, secret. "Um, I'm not too sure w-what to do with burns. Exactly. B-but I'm sure there must be something we can do!"

"I don't think it's bad enough for hospital...had worse this one time, when I was in a cafe and they heated the plates really hot and - " Imo trailed off and shrugged. Little did she know the senshi'd be familiar with the time Imo placed her hand flat on really really hot crockery. Aggie had been there, if she remembered it. Imo's left hand had been bandaged for two weeks. The imp's fire had just lightly scorched her like bad sunburn, as angry as her singed palms looked now.
"Sorry I'm babbling away anecdotes. Sorry, I didn't catch your name, Sailor...? Unless, you err, have to get going." Had she been a guardian cat, not a human, her ears would have been flat back. Imo was not her usual bubbly self. This was the Imo who holed herself up in her room with icecream and bad movies and who cried her secrets to Aggie if she came to call.

Vanadis remembered, actually. It'd been a terrible, awful two weeks spent doing every and anything she could do help her friend and worrying constantly. (Yes it wasn't life-threatening, but Aggie had always had a way of over-reacting when it came to Imogen and her safety, so for all intents and purposes, she'd spent two weeks acting as though her best friend would die by doing her own dishes.)
"Um, it's okay." She smiled awkwardly, worried and not entirely sure how to act. Obviously Imo hadn't figured it out yet, but how familiar could she act before she knew? And if she didn't, a stranger (albeit one who had gotten lucky and saved her life) hugging her and telling her things would be alright would probably freak her out a bit.
Or generate a crush. Vanadis wasn't sure what'd be worse.
"I'm Sailor Vanadis, uh, S-senshi of Wards. W-we should probably still get it under s-some cold water, though. And a bandage." She looked around, ascertaining their location. "There should be a p-public bathroom around here, um, b-but I don't have a bandage."
She looked crushed at having let Imo down like this. Next time she'd start carrying bandages around, for sure!

"Thankyou Vanadis - is it okay to drop the Sailor? - so much." Imo was beyond grateful that the senshi was sticking around. Partly because she was scared the rain would stop and the imp would come back to finish the job, partly because she wanted to ask a few questions. But also because it was just so comforting to have her with her, to not be alone, and even though she had no idea it was Aggie to have someone be here who seemed to care she was hurt and wretched. Imo hated feeling alone at the best of times and now was not exactly in her top ten ways to spend her evening.
"I think I had some anticeptic wipes in my...my bag." The look of sheer horror on Imo's face would have been comical if she hadn't realised she'd shed her bag when she'd first been attacked so it didn't slow her down. And she'd never picked it back up. Her purse, her keys, her phone amongst other stuff had been in that bag. And she now wasn't sure where it was.

"That's totally fine! I'm not even, um, e-entirely sure why we've got that part." She laughed a small, awkward laugh and belatedly hoped that her inexperience in the job hadn't shown through. Gosh, what a way to make her friend feel safe - dropping all pretences of competence! "And you're, uh, welcome."
"Oh, y-you do? That's great!" Vanadis perked right up, relieved that at least something seemed to be going right. Except.. she couldn't really see the bag in question. A searching look at her friend, the surrounding area and herself (just in case, you never knew in the heat of battle... really,) revealed no bag and no anti-septic wipes. "But, um.. where is it?"

"Back where the imp attacked and you found us." She started trying to trace their steps back, not entirely sure she was running the right way. She figured the senshi'd come with her. Vanadis didn't seem like she was in a hurry to leave, more of a Gemini than a Badass (which was a compliment in Imo's books!). The redhead stopped when the reached the right street though and walked forelornly to her bag.
It was quite visible under the streetlight, where it'd been tipped out and her things scattered. Someone had emptied her purse, her keys were missing, as was her phone. The phone that was new, a replacement for the one that'd been with her at Barren Pines, that she and her family saved to get her despite being short on cash having sent her to Crystal. Whoever had rooted through the abandoned bag left the small wipe packet though, that had come with a meal or something but seeing that just made her smile this twisted little smile.
"..." Couldn't really grumble, since her life had been saved, but Imo felt that it was perfectly okay to let herself wallow in her dispair for a moment picking it up.

Oh. Oh. Vanadis looked as heartbroken as Imo at the discovery of the bag and it's non-existant contents.
Sod it, there was no way she wasn't going to hug her friend after this. Gingerly reaching out and drawing Imo in for a (hopefully) comforting - if not somewhat stiff omg-do-you-think-she'll-notice-this-is-how-I-usually-hug-too - hug, she tried to keep some of the tension out of her body.
It wasn't working. She kept expecting Imo to punch her, or worse, for another youma to show up.
"I could always, um, go after them. The t-thieves, I mean." It might not do much good - it wasn't like they'd left behind a calling card - but if it made her best friend feel better, Vanadis was willing to try it.

It was a testament to the magical glamour that the Senshi possessed that even being hugged by Vanadis - which did floor Imogen - she couldn't tell it was Aggie. It was as if someone'd come and erased all identification from her. If Imo could feel Aggie's hug, it was only after some magic had made it so she couldn't recognise it. While she was henshined up, there was no way she could tell who the girl in the fuku was.
Even when she hugged her back.
"You could get hurt. You have enough to deal with with saving people from monsters without going after thieves."

"But, um, I think it's my job. You know, f-fight evil and all that." She leaned back a little and gave a shrug and a smile for her best friend's sake. "And there wasn't much saving there, was there? I just sort of got really, really lucky."
"D'you want to go home, t-then? I'll take you, so you don't need to worry about o-other youma. And, um, you can report your stuff missing in the morning and hopefully the police will find it. Somehow."

"I...I haven't got my keys and my family is out. I think I might see if my friend'll put me up for the night, she lives close by."
With her mother out to her party and her grandmother fast asleep (and thus very hard to wake up from outside because like Imo herself she slept like the dead) going back to Aggie's would be her best bet. Erce would let her in tomorrow morning and it'd give her time to clean up some before her mother saw her. There'd be less of a freak out about her hands and things.
"Have you been a senshi long? Or am I not supposed to ask questions." Imo said sheepishly as she finished gathering her stuff.

Oh, um, crapoodle. "Uh, no, it's fine I think. Not l-long at all. This is my, um, second youma so far." She was slightly distracted as she answered - what was she supposed to do now? She could get back before Imo, but only if she left her before she'd gotten all the way to the apartment. And she'd really, really hate to leave the other girl defenseless at a time like this. "Does your f-friend live far away?"
Maybe she could just.. go some of the way and then leave Imo alone for the last stretch of the way?

"Oh." She said, frowning. "That was my fourth..."
But if Vanadis hadn't been a senshi long, then maybe it wasn't that weird that she'd seen so many? After all, everyone had seen atleast one these days. She rubbed her arms for warmth as they walked.
"Her place isn't too far, luckily. So, what made you choose to be a senshi? I mean, I'm dead grateful to you guys, killing the...youma? The monsters and everything. I'd like to help actually though I'm sort of useless against them. I helped kill one with a stick though, but, if the senshi hadn't...I mean...sorry, I'm babbling aren't I? I just really hate those scary things that keep attacking people and I'm so so grateful..."

Fourth? Of course they'd talked about it and stuff, but holding Imo's four youma up to her own two was really sort of a different deal. Like, way, way different.
"H-hey, you're welcome." Wiping the shocked look off her face took some effort, but Vanadis put what she hoped was a comforting hand on her usually-best-friend's shoulder and did her best at a soothing smile. She wasn't entirely sure she didn't look constipated, but it was worth a try, right? "Helping k-kill one with a stick is braver than what, um, most people have done so far. You s-should be proud of yourself!
"And I dunno, r-really. There was this cat, and um, it's complicated, but it wasn't really a c-choice." Until now. Intervening now had been a choice, but she couldn't well tell the other girl that, could she? 'Oh hey, I've actually been neglecting my duties but seeing someone I love in danger totally changed that! Oh yeah, and I'm also your best friend. Cheers!' Yeah, probably wouldn't go over too well..

She just sighed when Vanadis praised her being brave. Imo took out the wipe as they walked, wincing as she used it on her hands, not really putting too much effort into cleaning. Hurt too much.
"Must be nice having all that...magic stuff to fight them with, must make it easier. It is magic isn't it? Doesn't seem like technology anyway. But then I suppose now you're a senshi you'll have to fight more..."
