Thanks for the tips. c: I'm always upset if I make a mistake. Then I never draw because I'm always afraid to star over.

hey im in a slump i have went to some refrance places and i can copy anime free hand and do my own, but i just cant seem to like my work because they all to much my free hands relate to what i see i want to make something new and uniqe how do i do this?

If you want to make something completely new and unique to your own, start drawing from real life instead of manga. All styles, from American cartoons to Japanese manga, come from real life, it just gets exaggerated to make it look more appealing.

When you understand how to draw how things really are, you can switch it around and play with it until it becomes something new and your own.

And years of practice. XD

I've been trying to force a style out for a while now, but nothing seems to work xD
When I see new inspirations I try to change how I do guidelines and everything, so much I get confused.

Currently I'm focusing on hair, but I can't find any tutorials that help me that much sad

I remember being able to draw really well, but have become out of practice, and so my drawing qualities have started to suck. I've just bought PhotoShop for the first time last year (it's CS4), and, that year, got enrolled into a magnet high school for people inspired by engineering/any form of art as well by technology, and are trying to fuse the two together.

My goal's to become a graphic designer/character concepts design artist, and I started using your tips since a month ago, going one step at a time... And I am improving quite well, both with drawing and my use of PhotoShop. Thanks, dude, for the tips. biggrin
