Mimic, to her great delight, had finally caught a moth in her mouth. She closed her maw gently and felt the frantic fluttering within. Thinking only of stilling the movement she ground her teeth together and felt the furry body of the moth pop in her mouth. bitterness exploded against her tongue and a look of pure disgust flit across Mimic's face.
Gak!
An all consuming need took over her, and she spat the offensive creature out. She continued to spit for a few moments before switching tactics. She began to lick the grass, hoping to rid herself of the disgusting flavor the bug had left behind.

Shadowed Moon paused, he heard something odd behind him. Glancing toward the other doe he noticed she had finally caught a moth in her mouth. As she ground it up he twitch a little. Then she looked discussed and proceeded to spit it out and try to wash away the taste. He smirked to himself, well know she knew.

"I guess we know they don't taste good." He said almost to himself. He was glad he hadn't tried on himself. He noticed she had begun licking the grass he assumed to rid herself of the taste. It must have been really nasty. Most of the time you could just spit and gross things would be gone. Leaving her to her pallet cleanings he looked back to the star doe. He smiled at her, waiting for her name.

While the buck was introducing himself, she heard a strange noise.

Her mouth was hanging open again, she knew it. It might be attractive, but that was all she could think about. The doe had actually caught a moth, and was surprised that it tasted bad. Weird.

Back to reality, she responded. "I am called Streaked-Sky, it is very wonderful to meet you." More eye fluttering, et cetera.

It seemed the star doe was surprised at the glowing doe's eating of the moth. When she turned back to Shadowed Moon she introduced herself and fluttered her eyes again. Shadowed Moon's face seemed to blush more, he smiled. "It fits you well, the sky does seems to reside in your coat."

This doe, Streaked-Sky, was quite stunning. Her pink and blue fur make the stars in the coat seem even more beautiful. The glowing from the other doe caught his eye again, realizing he had been staring at Streaked-Sky's beautiful blue eyes. He smiled shyly and glanced at the glowing doe. "What's your name? I'm Shadowed Moon." He said, smiling and tilting his head at the doe who was currently licking grass.

The taste was slowly dissipating from her tongue. She had managed to get it from a biting bitterness to a dull ache in her mouth. She was barely aware of the other two Kimeti speaking, and she finally took the time to really look at the newcomer.
It was a male. Mimic had only met a handful of these before. She looked him up and down, taking in the silvery-blue tone of his coat, offset by the soft gray. Her head tilted softly, catching the words that emanated from the other two, piecing them together into recognizable sentences.
My name.. it is Mimic. Yes, my name is Mimic. Nice to meet you Shadowed Moon, shining buck.
Her gaze tracked a moth that was flying slowly in front of her.
Those, do not taste good. She stated matter-of-factly.

Streaked-Sky giggled. This Mimic was kind of funny!

"No, they do not taste very good. I believe I told you at least twice." She glanced sideways at the buck to see if he was looking at her. Mimic was some competition in the looks department, but she was also crazy.

Slightly assured by this, she glanced at the buck again.

Mimic thought back to her time in the clearing.
Perhaps the doe had told me that moths taste bad.
I am sorry Streaked Sky, I did not remember you telling me that moths tasted less than favorable. Sometimes I have a hard time remembering what I have done.
Her head tilted sweetly as she smiled at the doe. Mimic liked this new friend, she was nice, smart and very pretty.
She also liked the male, he was handsome.
Her tiny mind spun, wondering what she could do to make them like her.. She settled on keeping her head tilted in what she thought was an attractive manner, and widening her smile. She noticed the other doe batting her eyelashes, so Mimic did as well.

Shadowed Moon couldn't help but smile as Mimic announced how bad moths were. As Streaked-Sky proceeded to inform her she had already explained that Mimic apologized and then looked at him. It seemed Streaked-Sky was doing the same thing. It made him feel rather embarrassed, the looks they were giving him.

He smiled at them both very sweetly as they battered their eyelashes. It seemed Mimic was following her name and mimicking Streaked-Sky's motions. Though she was probably doing it for her own reasons. He tilted his head at Mimic because she was doing so and smiled. Her glowing eyes looked interesting in the dark, as did her odd markings.

Seeing pink out of the corner of his eye he turned to Streaked-Sky and smiled at her as well. Since she kept glancing at him he thought it would be nice to look back at her for a while. Her eyes were a darker blue then Mimic's and didn't glow, but they contrasted her coat quite nicely. He glanced between then, a slight blush appearing on his face. He wasn't used to being around so many does, and these two were quite stunning.

Streaked-Sky blushed to her tail. Was Mimic making fun of her? And worse, Shadowed Moon seem to think it was funny, instead of cute, which is what she was trying for. She really needed to not flirt with every buck she came into contact with.

Turning to Mimic, she replied, "I know you have a hard time remembering, Mimic, when we first met you ran into a tree. I just guess from there." she giggled a bit at the end, remembering.

Mimic thought back hard, maybe she did have a vague memory of running into a tree. She bent her head down and lightly touched it to her foreleg.
Ouch! She exclaimed in surprise. A small spot of blood appeared on the spot that had touched her head, barely noticeable on her midnight coat.
Suddenly the world swam threateningly.
The night sky whirled around her head, overwhelming everything as the ground tilted alarmingly. She stumbled drunkly around, trying desperately to keep the elusive ground beneath her feet. It was more difficult than it sounded and she tilted even further, hooves slipping out from beneath her.

Shadowed Moon looked like he was remembering something. "So that's what that was!" He glanced at Mimic, giving her an odd look. "Doesn't that hurt?" As he looked at the glowing doe he found his eyes drifting back to Streaked-Sky, her bright colors were so much more eye catching in this light.

He couldn't help but continue to look at her. Tilting his head he smiled softly as his eyes traced some of the stars along her coat. She seemed to be embarrassed for some reason, maybe because Mimic had done her name sake? He wasn't sure, he wasn't sure why she would be embarrassed, she hadn't done anything weird, in fact, she'd been quite cute.

As Mimic began touching her head suddenly she began stumbling about after exclaiming in pain, she looked like she was going to fall! Stepping forward Shadowed Moon stood next to her to try and hold her up. After a head injury like that it was not surprise she was dizzy. He was pretty sure he had moved just in time, she had been tilting dangerously far and if he hadn't stepped forward the doe would have fallen.

How handsome! Thought Streaked-Sky! He's such a gentleman! Of course, if he had caught her, and Mimic wasn't here, it would be much better.

It looked like there might be blood on the doe's head though. That was serious! She didn't have any knowledge of herbs or anything for healing. She just knew to apply pressure with something.

Looking for a large leaf, she pressed it against the other's head with her mouth, avoiding blood.

"How is this," she mumbled through her mouth.

Mimic's head cleared a little bit, and the world seemed to be steadying itself as well. She was almost completely still, though on her side she could feel an odd, rhythmic movement. She blushed when she realized the warmth beside her was Shadowed Moon. He had obviously come to her rescue, how gentlemanly!
Oh my! She exclaimed breathlessly, thank you for saving me.
She felt the light pressure that Streaked-sky was applying to the wound and after the initial twinge of discomfort the pain receded.
Thank you gentle Doe of the Skies, my head feels much better because of your tending.
She turned lightly and attempted to bat her eyelashes at the other doe. For all she knew, that was a sign of thanks or happiness. She did not however, move away from the buck. She liked where she was standing, it felt warm, comfortable, pleasant.

Shadowed Moon nodded with a smile at Streaked-Sky as she came with a leaf and pressed it against Mimic's head. That would help. Hopefully she would get less dizzy. As Mimic seemed to steady she noticed his presence and thanked him. He smiled sweetly at her. "Of course. It was my pleasure." He laughed softly.

When Mimic noticed Streaked-Sky she thanked the other doe as well and said her head felt much better, which was good. Since she wasn't moving he would stay here for a bit to make sure she didn't fall again. Mimic attempted to bat her eyelashes at Streaked-Sky and Shadowed Moon grinned, so she didn't understand the gesture, she had just been mimicking the other doe.

He turned to Streaked-Sky himself and smiled warmly, it was nice of her to rush to help Mimic despite her no longer being in danger of falling. The problem had been resolved rather fast due to her quick thinking. He was glad she was here, he wasn't sure he would have thought of that. Then again, he had been distracted by the falling doe so his mind hadn't had much time to think.

Streaked-Sky dropped the leaf and sputtered. Doe of the Skies? Tending? Who spoke like that? Mimic was proof that brains did not come with beauty (unlike herself, of course).

And then the buck smiled at her, and she smiled back. He really was rather handsome, if dully colored. He looked rather good being such a gentleman, too!
