((I think we're coming to a close on this one. . . don't you? x3 )) The stallion was completely oblivious to the inner-workings of Azelle or Chetan's relationship. Small changes in his son now made sense and while Azelle wondered why the stallion hadn't introduced or spoke of her previous, Althalus had wondered the exact same thing! He knew his son was often very private and very quiet but to not give wind to anyone about his relations with a mare. . . .
Especially if they were serious!
"Consider it done then, m'dear. I'd suggest you try a little north of here, there's a small clearing that makes an easy exit or return should she decide to take wing. Of course, keep an eye and ear out . . . once she's located, in case you're not in the near vicinity, the local wildlife will be sure to let you know."
Stepping forward, bold as ever, the stallion leaned forward and offered her cheek a very light nuzzle. His silver eyes glowed with good humor as he stepped back and gave a gracious bow. "Truly, Azelle, it has been both a surprise as well as great pleasure to meet your acquaintance. I fervently hope that this isn't the last we see of you, but until then, might you find clear skies and happy days in all your endeavors."
Clearing his throat lightly, Althalus did cant his head. "But before you go, I do have one question. Exactly how long have you and Chetan . . . . known one another in such a fond light? If it isn't my place you can tell this old charmer to shove off, but if it isn't too much to ask. . . ?" He merely wanted to mull over reasons why his son was so elusive.
He loved Chetan, but sometimes he walked to the beat of his own drum and drove Althalus a little mad. Perhaps all children were supposed to do that, but this great mystery was going to drive him crazy until it was fully resolved.
