I know some people (and this is trully sad) who would read HEAT and decide that visiting tropical countries are too much of a risk.
What is it like?... reading it feels like I was pointing a finger at her... that somehow, she deserves what she has in a way.. that it was all her fault :: karma.

Yeah, I know people like that as well. Yes, it is sad. As far as the poem 'What is it Like?' I don't know about the whole karma thing. Something could have happened to her that nobody should have to go through.

mmm... I still stand by Listen, Moon and Apathy... I reckon they are my personal favourites from your poetry posts...
I like 'What is it like', especially the rythm it creates... almost a voice between curious and recriminating at the same time... asking, "what is it like?"
'Heat' reminded me of when I attempted to pass for a fireman in Mexico (I was in fact a volunteer in the fire service ambulance). Damn! It was hot! So many people think it's obvious but it is so alien. 'Heat' pictures this nicely.
