Bella listened, she listened intently, her ears pricked forward and her eyes soft. She had guessed it had been something like that. Her son, though not around that often had spoke of such things before. She knew what it must be like. Some mares were tricky and lived for heartbreaking.
She sighed and arching her neck, nuzzled him for a sec in a friendly comforting manner. "I'm sorry to hear that happened to you... Why anyone would want to break your poor heart, i don't know. I've known winged ones to stay with grounded mares simply out of love, but without love it's a form of torture i'm sure... "
She nodded " as for the other, she's missing?..." she tilted her head and looked sad " I'm sorry about that as well, that seems a terrible loss...to find someone lovely like that, only to have them vanish before your eyes..."
She paused for a little bit and then looked him in the eyes and half smiled " it's ok, i know my share of mares who are indeed like that. But some are different, you just have to find the right ones." She looked up at his wings and chuckled " hah, well i'm glad you think so kindly of me, i try and be as nice as i can to everyone."
She walked forward a little, feeling the spring wind tussle her hair, she closed her eyes and breathed " you know, i used to get jealous of my friends with wings, that they could fly like the birds and go as far as they wanted" she turned to him and smirked " but then, i realized that when they came down to rest, i'd be there for them"
she flicked her tail a little " It was a nice thought, I thought i'd share" she smiled sweetly and lifted a hoof "coming?"

He smiled at her she was different a breath of fresh air compared to what he had known. Watching her light movement he felt the urge to do something nice for her. Trotting up close to her he whispered softly,
"Close your eyes..."
He had hoped she would go along with what he was about to do. His wings weren't strong enough to carry her very far or high but it would be enough for this first time just to let her feel the rush he knew all to well. And besides, she'd be there when he needed her...she said so herself.

Bella tilted her head in question and after a second, smiled " oh alright~" she closed her eyes, wondering what he was up to. She pricked her ears forward so she could hear him. She trusted him of course, even if she didn't know what was going on, She stood, relaxed and curious. " heh, what are you up to Swellow?"

Swellow very happy she had gone along with it smiled,
"You'll see...."
He lowered his head slightly and nudged her gently, with very little effort he managed to lift her gently and quickly off the ground, he had done this only once before but then again his wings were in better shape then as well. Grinning when he saw the ground pull away from them slightly he finally said,
"Open your eyes...don't be afraid. I'm here I wont let anything happen to you."
He secretly hoped she would enjoy this and not freak out. He smirked it wouldn't be a very nice gesture if she freaked out and he dropped her.

Bella felt her hoofs leave the ground, she was a bit startled but didn't show it. When he told her to open her eyes she opened one slowly, then the other and she gasped. She was flying~!! well, Swellow carrying her was flying but still! of course, this was not a usual thing for her so she was very VERY still, but she was smiling and she was amazed that he could do such a thing.
She piped up. " This is amazing Swellow~!!"
She looked below her and marveled at how far she was from the ground, though to her even a little bit was a marvel.
She felt her heart grow warm, who was this stallion that could afford her this much happiness in a day.
She knew he wouldn't drop her, he was a man of his word, she knew.
" i've always wondered what flying would be like! as i thought, you're very lucky indeed!" she enjoyed the feel of the breeze in her mane and smiled. He was special for sure.

Swellow laughed happily, he was grateful that she seemed to enjoy this little pleasure he could afford to give her. Happily he gently touched the ground with his hooves,
"I'm glad you enjoyed that...I would have gone a little further but I haven't flown even my self in quiet some time but I'm sure that we'll be able to go a little further next time."
He pranced about letting her get her bearings strait, smiling and beaming he arched his neck and fanned his tail, this was turning in to a much better day then he thought possible.
"Now...about that walk my beautiful Bella, I would adore to get to know you better."

Bella felt her hooves return to the ground and she sighed a little, in relief for being back on a known terrain and for missing the feeling of being off it as well. She perked up and beamed at him " oh i did enjoy it a lot, thank you!" she nuzzled one of his ears in thanks " even that little bit was amazing to me."
She took a few steps forward and then back, making sure she was balanced and chuckled as he pranced around like a proud pigeon.
He looked marvelous that way, she was happy to see him so.
She nickered happily and motioned forward " and i would love to get to know you better as well Swellow~ let us walk~"
She smiled softly and clopped up beside him.

Swellow nickered as he watched her it was amusing to see nonwinds come back to the ground. He pranced about until she was on her feet again. Smiling happily when she made mention of that walk he gently nudged her,
"Its nice to have such a refreshing breath of air in you..."
He nodded slightly as he spoke he wasn't sure why but he was letting his guard back down maybe it was because he felt that he could be her knight in shining armor and show her the skies or maybe it was just because she didn't expect him to be grounded for her. Either way he was happy for the time being.

Bella chuckled as he pranced and walked beside him, happy for the company and smiled as he spoke.
" Aye, the wind is very soothing~" She murmured softly~
Her cheeks burned, she knew she was blushing and hoped that he wouldn't notice too much, it was so silly, she smiled to herself, how she felt like she was in love for the first time all over again~
She glanced sideways at him through her wavy mane, he was a wonderful stallion and after getting to know him better she thought the world of him. She was glad she had happened upon him this day. She hadn't had such fun since...well, a long time.
Though he was a wind and she wasn't, she, like she had with her friends always expected them to come back down to be with her at some point, she hoped he would do that for her.

Swellow smiled slightly this was a great day and things to come would only be better he hoped. Walking along side Bella he couldn't help but wonder what she would be able to do with him in a few weeks or months...since in just one meeting he was feeling himself again she could make the unimaginable happen he thought. Smiling he nuzzled her lightly as they walked and finally said softly,
"I've found a real reason to come back down from the skies...and I've found a reason to soar without worry in the skies...thank you Bella"
