As the genin got closer to the door, he was able to hear sounds coming from the other side of the door. One would describe the sounds as something that would be heard at a party, some soft music, the sound of laughter. If he wanted to, he could open the door and find out what was going on.

As the genin opened the door, he would probably be amazed by the fact that there was no one in the office. However, a heavy genjutsu hung in the air, the genin had walked headlong into the Kazekage's trap. Suddenly a massive wind came from the desk, sucking the genin into the coffin that laid open waiting to send the genin to his death. Even if the genin was smart enough to try and run the hands from the shadows of the room would drag him into iron maiden. As the genin's body was fully into the coffin it slammed shut giving the genin the feeling of thousands of needles bursting through his skin.

In all actuality the genin's psyche was the only thing attacked, his body was perfectly fine, however he laid slumped against the wall with a note stuck to his head.

Next time, follow the Kazekage's orders better. You should be going to the chunin exams.

The best things in the world cannot be seen or even touched

Roze trotted down the long hall to the Kazekage's office, enjoying the sound of her heels reverberating off of the floor. She flicked a stray strand of cherry hair out of her hair, as she turned a corner sharply. A smile played on the pink haired girl's face. She was happy to finally be able to meet the Kazekage, she was going to go ask him to accept her as a genin of sand, she really couldn't be happier, she had been waiting for this day for a while now.

Walking down a few more halls, she finally stepped up to the door that looked like it must have been the Kazekage's, as it was bigger, and more designed than other doors around her. She took a deep breath, and knocked on the door, as it made a steady rapping noise.

Tanto sat behind his desk, happily finished with his paperwork when he heard a knock at his door. In one swift movement he threw his whip chain around the door knob and pulled the office door open. "Ahh... It's you..." He muttered underneath his breath when he saw the blonde hair, "anyway... I have a mission for you Akeru, its a retrieval mission, and you will be assisted by a new genin, and Kyou..." He took a look down at Four's notebook and smiled, "lucky for you, the new genin is already here, Roze Coeur, you are to assist Akeru and Kyou to the retrieval point north of the sand village about twenty kilometers."

"...A retrieval mission?"

Seeing as Tanto filled the team with other kunoichi, she figured this was probably not an important mission, just something to either appease them or get them out of the way so he could hand out some real missions to the boys. But what could she do? He may have been a jerk that she just wished she was strong enough to pound into the dirt, but he was still the kage, and this was an official mission. She couldn't just turn it down...

"Well, if you want to waste my talents on simple errands, then I suppose I have no choice but to obey, kazekage-sama."

It was a better mission than she expected out of him at least. She was expecting their mission to be baking cookies to console the boys who failed the exams or something else he would consider 'woman's work'.

As the pink haired girl introduced herself, Akeru turned and smiled. She certainly had become a lot more friendly in a relatively short time, she didn't even open up with a nasty comment to the girl.

"Roze, huh? My names Akeru, Sukami Akeru, Sunagakure's resident genjutsu master! Well...master-in-training, at least. I'll admit I still have a lot to learn, I am still a genin, after all. But I'm still better than most."

Speaking of learning, she still wanted to tell Tanto about the strange girl she had met and how she was supposedly working for a brother Akeru didn't know she had. But she would wait until she could speak to him privately; she didn't want to go blabbing the story out where anyone could hear.

Oops, guess I just got myself in trouble...

Akeru wasn't fond of Tanto, and she knew Tanto probably felt the same way. But she knew she should have showed him more respect, just because he had the power to punish her for it. She really missed the old Kazekage and his wife, they were much cooler and less strict. Akeru hated when she had to try to keep on her best behavior, it just wasn't her natural state.

"Umm...As you wish, Kazekage-sama."

As Roze left, Akeru stayed there. It was clear that she was trying to be on her best behavior, and also that doing so made her look awkward. She didn't have her normal swagger about herself,and she looked very uncomfortable.

"I'm...uhh...sorry for what I said. It was...uncalled for, Tanto-sama."

Akeru hoped the apology would at least lessen whatever her punishment was going to be. However she doubted it; she already knew Tanto wasn't too fond of her.

Well...I guess he saw through my deception...not that I did a really good job on that one...

Akeru seemed to relax to her normal state. She crossed her arms and sighed.

"No, kazekage-sama. I assumed, given your previous comments about Kunoichi and the fact that you selected an all female squad, that this wasn't a serious mission. But, even if it isn't, it is still my duty as a ninja of sunagakure to carry it out to the fullest of my ability."

Akeru could already tell that things weren't going to be as fun around here. She supposed it would just motivate her to train more and eventually take the title of Kazekage away from Tanto. But for now she would have to learn to deal with him.

"I know I have to get better at knowing when to keep my mouth shut, and I'm working on it, Kazekage-sama. I'm sorry, sir, I really am..."

It was then that what Tanto said completely sunk into her head. Akeru didn't know if she misheard or if what she thought it meant wasn't Tanto's actual meaning, so she had to ask.

"Wait a minute...did you say...new rank? Does that mean that...that I've been promoted to Chunin?"
