Houdanse sighed, leaning in to murmur to the wish, after giving Evvy an imploring look, that she could let them have a couple moments of whispering. "I genius such as yourself will do fine inviting me over to sleep on colder nights, in exchange for fresh, plucked chickens. It will be no problem for me to help out a friend, especially a townie, and it will surely not take you too long to make some form of snare or the like to catch prey if you cannot manage it at first." he hid the smile, the small satisfaction that that one last bit of knowledge, that one piece that had made Houdanse doubt the gallant wish the most, as soon as he had asserted that yes, his love for Evvy was true, and rand deep, wide, and long. The boy had finally figured it out, and that could only be a good thing. He can grow... he can learn to hunt, and dance, and be a father, to take these challenges as they come.
Finally, the idiot sees it, and he doubts himself... he's the perfect mate, I regret to admit. In flaws and in triumphs, I suppose.

Edward grimaced in a silly sort of way at the chicken comment. "Depends how fresh those chickens are. I'm not one for blood. Can't stomach the gory stuff..." He glanced over at Evvy, who was practically dancing towards something in the moonlight. Falling in love for the second time was harder than the first. Worries and fears held him back. He had a right to be insecure though, his first brush with love left him burned. He'd swore he'd never love again...
And yet, here he was, walking at midnight in the company of a new flame and her very unique brother in law at his side. It was something that made Edward feel out of his element, but he somehow strangely welcomed it. He hoped to every last fiber in his body that this flame would live on, not burn out or burn him---as love so often does to everyone. The Riddler wish drew a sigh, and instead tried to focus on something else as they walked. The first thing he could think up of as a distraction was to wonder where they were heading... "I was wondering the same thing..." echoed a voice that seemed to have read his mind. Lullaby was now above them, back-paddling in the sky to keep pace childishly. "Where are you headed this late? Hopefully to go get some shut eye, the lot of you. It's almost 1 am" she added, smiling a Cheshire cat like grin.

((I'm going to guess that this is a private haunting? As in, Edward being the only one to see Lullaby?))
"Gutted, skinned, washed, cleaned, and only in need of being cooked... I am no heathen, Edward, no matter how old-fashioned I may be. You will have to get used to the mechanics of providing, and taking those measures yourself, unless you wish to sustain yourself on grass and berries. But, we can take this in baby steps, n'est pas?" isn't it? Houdanse stopped as Edward twitched out of his reverie. "Is something wrong?"

((Lullaby is my Goddess of Sleep. xd She can be seen by anyone, for sake of storyline, we can swing with just Eddie being able to see her though. If wanted. I'll post an rp reply after Midnight does...I'm dragging someone else into this for some added mayhem twisted )

(Ah lack of reply room D8 )
Evita skipped along completely forgetting that she was just a moment ago crying. She loved being outside all she wanted to do was dance. She looked back at her brother and gave a little smile, seemed like they were actually...getting along. The look in Houdanse's eyes said maybe Edward was saying or doing the right thing and maybe just maybe he was close to accepting him. Then she glance over at Edward, when she did she almost fell but once again regained her balance. As she saw him talking she couldn't help but feel undying devotion for him. She knew she loved him but she was still afraid to say so. Her heart always raced anytime she was near him, always melted or skipped beats when he talked to her, always left her smiling no matter how much she had been crying. She loved just being around him and laying with him or simply just talking. She truely loved everything about him.
Just then she noticed Edward looking at something, something she couldn't see, not like gazing at the moon or starts but...something else She chuckled at the though of him seeing things and continued trotting along

Edward's eyes widened a moment. He made a quick deduction, due to the two's responses, that Lullaby had made it so only he could see her at the time. How...pleasant of her... he thought to himself sarcastically. Like he really needed them to think him any more crazy that they already supposed he was on their own. Lullaby eyed Edward, "I'll leave you be, but I just thought I'd warn you that you should probably all go on home and get some sleep..." and with that she vanished from his sight. Edward shook his head. She wasn't making much sense. Edward sighed and then groaned back at Houda, "Nothing. Just...something akin to divine intervention...anyways...where are we headed this late at night anyways?"

Houda stretched and considered Edward's words as e groomed his fur back to gleaming flatness, trying to fight the urge to make a snapping retort. "Though I am seldom the first one to say it, I must admit that it is late, and we are all getting tired, peut-ĂȘtre..." he blinked owlishly, not wanting to admit that he would have gone to sleep some time ago had he not chanced upon Evita and her mate, not wanting Edward to know that he still got grumpy when he was tired, like a kit. Although, many would say I am always distant and difficult... "Perhaps we could all benefit from getting a good night's sleep, and you can consider my offer?"
