Mardy turns her back on her oppenent when she lifts up the ring apron to retrieve a chair. She finds one after a moment of searching, possibly too long. Mardy slides a chair out nicely and smirks when she actually recognizes she had found what she was looking for.

Phoenixfire found what she was looking for was out of her grasp and she'd have to fend for herself for the time being. She silently chided herself for not being more prompt about giving up the search, knowing it was likely that Mardy was lurking nearby and waiting for the opportunity to strike. Phoenix scrambled to get back to her feet to wait for the inevitable first strike.

Mardy sets the chair up as if she were to sit down. She walks behind it and aims herself towards Phoenixfire. Mardy waits for her oppenent to stand up entirely before she sprints towards the chair and tries to use it as a launching pad for her body splash.

Phoenixfire had no way of knowing that Mardy was preying on her from a distance when she was scrambling to return to her feet. What she was fully aware of was the fact that she was being thrown back to the floor again in a body splash, something she hadn’t anticipated at all. Phoenix grimaced as she lay on the floor, not sure if she could take this beating much longer.

Mardy was not going to walk away from that body splash without any reprecussions, she landed on her elbow in the worst way. She keeps moving however. Mardy gets back to her feet as the crowd continues to cheer, she tries to pick PHoenixfire up to her feet via her hair.

Phoenixfire knew her opponent was beginning to feel drained after hitting the last move the way she did; she could tell it by the way she had to force herself to keep working. She felt Mardy get a trembling grip on her hair and start to pull her back to her feet. If Mardy could work through her pain, there was not a reason in the world that Phoenix couldn't try. If Phoenix could get in a jab at Mardy's torso, that would put her another step closer to a triumph.

Phoenixfire felt Mardy begin to relinquish her hold and knew her only option was to try to hit her once or twice more to get her to release her for good. If she could get her to let go, she'd try to work her opponent down until she had the upper hand to work the match in the way she wanted it to go.

Mardy was hit with another jab, and then another. She releases Phoenixfire and steps away, holding her torso. She groans in pain and brushes her hair out of her face.

Phoenixfire scrambled backwards as soon as she was released from the hold, knowing she had little time to make her next move. She kept a wary eye on Mardy as she traced her steps in reverse towards the apron and went to grab for a chair. It would be next to impossible to get the one behind her because that would leave her opponent room to strike again. Either way she was taking a risk, but this gave her a better opportunity to strike out before Mardy had the chance to recuperate. And that was something she was willing to deal with, knowing she'd have to wait for the right time to swing.

And she's off! Mardy slides into the ring as she convinced herself that the floor was an ocean and Phoenixfire was a shark waiting to attack.

Phoenixfire was amazed that Mardy had eluded her once more and made what she had planned essentially useless.
1...2...3...4...
She paced a couple steps as she run her fingers through her hair as she tried to cope with the frustration. What was the point of her even staying in this match? There was no hope of her winning, not with her opponent's inability to stay in one place long enough for someone to get a move in.
5...6...7...8...
Phoenix shook her head and went against her desire to quit by sliding onto the apron, chair in hand. She was going to get a fair swing at her opponent before the night was over, one way or another.

Mardy approaches Phoenixfire, looking to offer a boot or something, but instead she trips on her own foot and falls to the mat. Though it would cetainly mess her up, Mardy found it to be funny.

Phoenixfire was extremely lucky that Mardy had tripped over her own two feet. She had almost fallen prey to a boot but when she tripped, there was a glimmer of hope that this match might not as bad as Phoenix had previously thought. It didn't mean she could slack off though; her opponent was down and now was the time to get a move on. She gripped the chair as she moved forward towards Mardy and rose it high above her head, waiting for the opportunity to bring it crashing down against her opponent.
