Do any of you remember the "Wiccan" guild where the chick deleted everyone's posts and put everyone on ignore if we disagreed with her (which we all did because her guild was copy pasta SRW). Well she had a link to a "free wicca school" that had gave out this Complete Guide to Wicca as it's learning guide. gonk It's pretty bad.

AH! Yes! I do remember her. She was a headcase. IIRC, in her guild you couldn't even post in any of the threads; there was like one thread that people could post in.

I... I think that's satire. lol If you read a bunch of them, you begin to hear a tone of self-deprecation and mocking. hehehe
Entertaining, though.
EDIT: Well... Gods, I hope it's satire... o_o

As in general I agree with the whole Silver Ravenwolf thing. I don't like the fact that she bashes other religions and such, however I do agree with some of the teachings and such. Like how she teaches meditation and such. Now I know I may be bashed for this but I don't care. That's my opinion.

Some people may find a useful nugget or two of information from SRW. However, I feel that the amount of bullshit in her books far outweighs the gems. Especially for someone new who can not easily discern fact from crap and that is why most tend to not recommend her.

I saw this site on a "Bad Pagan/Wicca/Witchcraft Website" thread on another forum and well....if you've never seen it, it's pretty laughable: http://spellsandmagic.com/Just listen to one of the "spells" available: Mind of a Frog Spell... This spell gives person mind of a frog. You nead to point on a person and say... "Higady, pigady, pong! I give you a mind of a frog". lolwtf

I gotta say, some of the guilds on Gaia are pretty bad. I had a look through last night on my mule and one or two really horrified me. They weren't even your average "I am 14 and cannot spell 'Wiccan'" deals, there was one or two "I am 25 and have been Wiccan since I was eight". Depressing. But then there were a few with people who looked like they were honestly seeking knowledge but the people they were asking questions of were really bad sources.
I mean, I was almost motivated enough to make a teaching guild or something, but I just know after a week I'd want to shoot myself. I'd have to have some strict rules in place.
"Rule One: NO ONE MENTIONS THE SALEM WITCH TRIALS."
....inspired by an actual thread....

(Don't click, San) Okay I have to say I really could only read the first page because these people scare me. Don't get me wrong cause there was something about the books that I could not put down (must be the hopeless romantic side). I hate to think that some of these people are out there with that one their brain all the time. I do believe in coincidence such as having a neighbor who is a doctor and a son called Ed. But I will stop there with my rant because I really really don't want to step on toes here.

Underworld Priestess There are probably going to be a lot of people who disagree with me but my choice is http://www.silverravenwolf.com/I am not a fan of her, I think she writes a lot of nonsense just so she can sell her books. She seems to be all about the lighter side of things only and she speaks poorly of other religions. Which is not what we are here to do. It's not which religion is the true one and only, it's about knowledge and what we believe. I have to agree with this! I had begun reading through her "Book of Shadows for the New Generation" and I was shocked at how fluffy and commercial her writtings seemed. I could not get through the entire book and had to put it down. I highly dislike people who try to sell their dogma and make a celebrity of themselves mad
