Neyna carefully lifted out a half dozen wrapped lunch boxes and set them in front of Kiga. "...Er, fighting lessons?" Neyna considered this thoughtfully. It sounded like newbie training back at the Company..."Well, it can't hurt." She shrugged. "Half of us medics usually just rely on the Gaia Convention Laws (Gaia is substituted for Geneva, haha) not to get hurt. I guess it'll be different this time." She reached for the tea container - urk. Without pausing, she quickly took out two more than her pack, and proceeded to pour herself a cuppa, having finished off the coffee.

Optional BGM"Or we have option three."
The voice came from nowhere. There had been plenty of hobos and others hanging around the old headquarters, but this voice was hardly the kind to beg for a donation. No, this voice was strong. It gave Velia a start, too. She'd been as quiet as usual, but the figure that came out of the shadows seemed to not only capture her attention, but it was an unusual looking sort. A cloak was wrapped about the figure, with a hood over its head. A white mask covered its face, a harlequin mask with a smiling face and a single red teardrop that ran down the left cheek. Across the figure's back was an impossibly large piece of what looked to be obsidian. It was either in the shape of a sword, or a large cross. Hard to say.
"Option three involves you all staying out of my way while I handle the situation you've obviously all failed to handle. If you're making plans and trying to piece things together now while it's happening, you're already doing it wrong. My plans are already made. And I'm going to save the souls that are screaming out. Especially the one that's trapped and lost in fear from the inside. That's my job. You'd just be obstacles."

What the.... nerve?
Kiga's eyes bolted to the new comer covered in darkness and mystery itself. What the hell was he thinking just randomly appearing there to take not only the slight glory and honor he could recover, but rather his chance for vengeance. For the first time, ever since he was assaulted and he got there (not aided by Veila's powers) eyes full of, not rage, but rather irksomeness, annoyance towards the newly arrived, locked onto him, a clear 'GTFO' look.
"And who the <********> are you?" Kiga replied coldly. Not unlike his usual happy-go-lucky persona, or even at some point funny. No, this was straight-fold cold. "...to come around parading into this building telling us what to do? And if we have failed, is because we have yet to do a thing. You don't know what you are messing with and more than helpful, you'd probably become a waste. So I would go along and ask kindly to you to get out of our way if you are going to come along to be the godmmoding b*****d you seem to appear to be"
His hammer was leaned on his shoulder, gripped tightly by his left hand, balancing menacingly. If anything where to happen. . . he wasn't going to be unready.

"Let me ask you something. Do you know the nature of your enemy? Do you know that her soul is screaming out for help? That's why I'm here. I don't know the girl personally. But her soul cried out to me across worlds in need. I had to come and save her, and all the trapped souls lost in limbo. I have experience in this sort of thing."
The figure chuckled and tipped its head. If it was bothered by Kiga's angry face, it was impossible to tell with that mask on. Perhaps that was the worst part of it. Covered from head to toe, kept from sight and sense, the figure was mysterious. Though, from the look of things, it hadn't so much appeared as walked out of a shadow it had been hiding in all this time. Most likely ithad observed them and finally showed itself.
"It's interesting. Are you a hero of some kind? I'm only assuming, since you seem to want to save this world. Isn't a hero supposed to look past the faults of others, and consider them an asset? Just like I thought, you're a waste of my time..more's the pity. I'm not entirely aware of the enemy's skills. All I know is that I need to release those souls. That's enough. Plans are for people who don't have the opportunity to seize the reins and make things go their way. What happens if your plans fail? Then what? If your training isn't enough? Do you have a backup for such an eventuality? I do."

Kiga's frown grew more and more, his irksome turning into true anger, and his anger into hate. The star on his forehead flickering in a dangerous red hue, the strands that came from it fluttering violently. And what's worse, that ...thing didn't seem to care... Or he couldn't sense what she felt or anything, see nothing. It was almost Tenshi all over again. His first instinct was to give one war roar and basically ram the hammer towards her, violent instincts at full, teeth gritted.
"It is not of your interests what my plans are or not. . . " he barked as he tried for his attack "Or who am I or even who she is. If there is a soul to save, it is definitively not hers! 1000 or more Gaians from this or another plane shouldn't pay for her own foolish mistake!"
The hammer, usually covered in light when attacking, had more of a griminess aura, same that could probably decorate the HAX-scythe in his 'Dark' armor. If only he could wipe away that invisible smirk of hers. . .

"What a fool. You think she wants to hurt people? You don't look at your enemies, do you? Do you even understand what they feel, why they do what they do? Or do you just hammer them until they stop moving, and ask questions later? Dachaidh."
The figure made a hand symbol, and in a rush of air, it vanished, forming instead about sixty feet away, near a corner. That must have been an activation word for a spell. A minor teleportation or movement spell, it seemed. So this one used magic. Interesting. But there wasn't a large draw of energy either. It seemed that by using incantations, it avoided unnecessary expenditure of personal energy. So it was an old type of magic.
"I don't have much memory, you see. Every time I transition worlds, I lose a lot of who I am. But some things always remain. For one, I save lives. And most people disagree with how I do it. I do it my way. As a medium, I hear souls crying out. Do you know what she's saying, trapped as she is? She's begging for me to save them, she's crying because she hurt them. She doesn't even care about herself. But something's also blocking me. That's no small feat."
The unusual person crossed its arms, the eyes the only thing visible. Those eyes. The look the person was giving Kiga was accusing. An accusation that he didn't know what he was talking about. It didn't matter if the figure's accusation was right or wrong; but they'd made it just the same. That look was frightful. The gaze was one that went right through a person. Oh, Kiga had probably seen it on quite a few people before, but it was so strange. It wasn't a judgment of arrogance. No, it was..pity. There was nothing but pity and derision echoing in that look. As if to say, 'you poor child. Don't you know anything?'
"If you're going to attack me, I suggest you do it quickly. But if you have time to be fighting me, you should be spending it looking for your real enemies instead. Or am I so intimidating to you that I brook destruction, even though I'm not a monster? Like that girl. You know, when a dragon eats a princess, you don't blame the princess when the dragon sets fire to your village. You cut open the dragon, and save the princess inside, don't you? Or have I missed something?"

Rin had been there, silent during the entire exchange. Her eyes watched with far more awareness than they should have, tipping her head so that her eyes were hidden behind the reflection cast on her glasses.
"Kiga..." Her voice was quiet, barely above a whisper. "They're right. We don't have time to be fighting right now. We have too much else to do, don't we?"

Kiga froze in his place, both by the words of Rin (barely audible even with his own slight acute hearing) but most importantly... that woman's (so far he managed to discern completely) gaze. It hit him just right into him, just like Tenshi when she shattered his seal. His eyes widened, turning from cold murderous to scared and remorseful. The hammer fell to the ground with a loud and echoing clank, making the remaining hobos (read 'newbs') leave the building as they could ,fearing they would probably be smitten. He bowed his head, obscuring his face, the forehead star turning into a sad blue hue, all while silence recovered it's place in the building.
"But what if the princess is the dragon itself?" he finished, not daring to look at her further and instead turning his back onto her.
"Look. . . I don't care about saving the world, but rather avoiding it's destruction. Help me, I will help you. . . be on my path and I will take you down. . .understood? LOL isn't about being a hero and win a medal, is about setting things straight. So, up to you. . ."

"Maybe I was just a little wrong. You do have a good grasp of things. You're just..lost. But I won't take back what I said. I mean it. I'm going to save her life. Her soul. Everyone deserves that chance. If you don't take the devil's hand, how will the devil become the angel? If you don't hug the child who's never known love, how will she know what love is? The first step is the hardest. Especially when we have something at stake. Loving your enemy is hard, even when they're not really your enemy.."
The figure removed the mask then. Gods, she was..young. She looked no older than eighteen or nineteen. But those eyes. Those haunted eyes. They spoke of experiences long past her apparent age. That was the similarity. Velia's eyes. This woman's eyes. They had that same sad, old look to them. The look that said they'd seen so much lost.
"I'm Koudelka. I'm a medium who spcializes in psychometry and dowsing. I listen to spirits and free them from their pain, because nobody else can. And I hate people. People always think they know what's best, and end up hurting others. So I avoid them usually. Spare me your vengeful words, though. I may not remember much, and that's vexing. But I have a feeling I've heard that kind of thing before. As for setting things straight.."
She chuckled then, and her smirk was apparent this time. Her eyes issued a challenge then, as she stared at the hero.
"Set things straight in your view, or mine? You know, this whole 'being a good guy' thing is pretty subjective from my side of the fence. I'm not here to punish the sinful or bring down just vengeance. I want to save the lost souls. That's the weird thing about it though.."
She looks confused for once, when she speaks, and she paced around the room. She nodded to the other girl that spoke, though she really didn't..have much to say to her. Not out of rudeness, but just..there wasn't much to say. She hadn't been addressed by her.
"The souls aren't wandering free. And they're not..stuck in objects, or items. It's like they're in limbo. In-between states of being. It's like someone kicked them out of their bodies, but they're still..in their bodies. Kind of like there's some third state that they're frozen in. I can't really figure it out. You know what's going on. What happened to the people?"

"Assimilation, that's what happened" he stated bluntly, gathering enough energy to look at her, let along speak with a normal voice tone, thoughts about her and Tenshi still clouding his head "It all started 4 months ago. . ."
It was after a bitter-sweet triumph: the Demi-gods of Gaia descended to do ....things. Mischief, fight, do stupid things. I formed the League of Outstanding Leaders (aka, LOL) to find the truth, see from the sidelines, and at last, fight /i]both bands. Neither of them where a good path. But, all that got nullified by Jack, god and Admin of Gaia who just decided to throw all to hell. But then, in my pain from the battle wounds and my ego and project shot down, I found a treasure I could never replace - Love, in the form of a demoness. However... as we returned to my home, in Parallel Gaia... little did I knew what was going to happen...
My homeland... destroyed. Parallel Gaia was a wasteland out from an Apocalyptic movie. My eyes where filled with Anger, terror, confusion. Who could have done this? And then... the revelation: the heroine from Other Gaia.. had not turned to be whom I thought she could be....
We fought endlessly, giving all my possible strength, even with the strains of my wounds. Luna helped too, but we where both unable to stop her... Then, she did the unforgivable. Something people from our race would never do, a sin. She broke my seal. . .left me to die, to rot while she jumped back to her world... to conquer and vanish at the same time
The mental images came quickly rushing into his head and gut. No... he couldn't allow this to happen in this place... He gulped the bitter-sweet memory, more like bitter-sour.
"That sums it up in small... though, I'm surprised Durem is fine. . . if I where her, I would have submitted this small town by now. Though where she is, is still unknown. I cannot track her via my own armor or by bonding. . ."

She continued to observe the exchange between the two, and shook her head slightly, her arms folding across her body, twining around herself. She was beginning to rethink her position, and was curious about how far she would go for the time being. She'd have to get in contact with certain parties soon, and that would mean absence. She'd have to make it fast, and she'd have to make it soon, before she was so entangled here that she couldn't get away.
"I.." A hesitation. "I need to go take care of something, Kiga. If that's alright? I'll eat before I return.. I just.. this is all strange to me, you know? I need an hour or so to go be normal.." It was a half-strangled sounding plea, her eyes going anywhere but to the two of them, when she lifted her head so that her eyes were once again visible behind the lens of her glasses.

"You learn that being normal is probably the worst thing for you in an absurd world..heh."
She listened to Kiga too though, and mused. So that was it. They were in a half-state. Mind control? Something more sinister? It explained a lot. They were trapped in their bodies, while their bodies were objects. What a ******** up set of circumstances. Koudelka drew back her hood, and crossed her arms again as her dirty blonde hair fell down around her shoulders.
"So she was a hero, then she just went crazy? That doesn't sound right. I mean, people don't just go crazy and start eating people..or whatever she's doing. I don't know what to say to that. I don't know the first thing about your crazy a** armor. I'm not super familiar with technology. I use Ancient Magic..and my psychic powers. I've got some skills for surviving. I can cook, clean, you know. I can't say much about anything, really. With most of my memories gone, it's hard to say what more I know or can do. I remember the spells, and I remember my relics. And my survival skills. And my personality is usually intact. Beyond that. Who knows. I could be a devil myself. But I get this feeling I've always been as I am now."
She shrugged, and tipped her head, looking more than a little miffed.
"Have you ever thought that someone might be controlling this..'armor' of hers from the outside? I mean, it IS a piece of technology right? That means you could control it if you knew how it worked or something, isn't that correct? I'm not sure if I'm wrong or not. I mean, could someone else hijack it and use it to 'reprogram' her, too, while she was inside? Help me out here. I'm not machine savvy."

"Sure, go ahead" Kiga smiled at Rin. It was sincere, but tired. The whole 'I want to kill you' moment sure wasted a lot of his energy, and he was hungry. Sure, he would pick his food but.... that until he settles things up "Just remember the place and don't get lost. If you have any trouble, call me using this..."
It was going to hurt, but he had to do it - using his right hand, closing one eye forewarning the pain, he basically plucked one of the strands coming from his star, the silver-blue band of energy swirling before he actually tied it around her wrists. It felt cool by touch, and rather liquid even, but was still solid.
"Just think of me and I'll be able to locate you, 'kay?" he smiled yet again. "Oh, and don't loose it - we don't want random enemies knowing our spot..."
With that, he returned his look on the newly arrived, a small strand already emerging from the star to replace the plucked one. It was a sight to hold, it going up slowly like a snail's eye, glistering slightly with the same hue as it's origin.

"Thank you."
She let her hand slide down over the strand, letting her hand pass over his for just a moment, a trickle of moisture wrapping around his wrist like a liquid strand. It had the same effect as a high grade pain-killer, sans the drowsiness. She tipped her head just slightly and smiled, before nodding to the new woman, and giving a brief glance toward the others. She mouthed that she would return, and then headed out of the building.

Luna blushed even darker when Kiga called her his women. When Kiga brought up that Lena will have to fight first, she only nodded. "She will have to pay for her crimes." She stated.
Then both girls paid attention to the new comer. Luna wanted to bash the women's face in, for acting like she knows who she's talking about and acting like their efforts are usless. Lena put a hand on Luna's shoulder, shaking her head. Luna nodded, holding back her anger, trying to be less attack dogish.
