BlazingInfernoPhoenix CalypsoHephaestus112 Luna Lumine CalypsoHephaestus112 Well. If you wanted the statistics of Zeus's children: He has 120 children, and 114 women from the myths. So Thalia is not included in the list. I think we shouldn't talk about this. They have all had their faults. Fredrick Chase remarried and ditched Annabeth. Thalia's mom was alcoholic. And May Castellan was just crazy. Though it wasn't her fault, she was just obnoxious But the two best parents must be Sally Jackson and Maria di Angelo. Don't object, they are the best mortal parents in the series. And yes, Sally Jackson and Maria di Angelo are doubtlessly the best.
Mr. Chase is harder to tell. He tries. He messes up. He's mortal.
On the one hand, he ditched Annabeth most of the time. But on the other hand, in the end of TC he was the god-in-the-machine who came down to the rescue. Yes: Maria di Angelo: She protected her children, and died for them. She did not go down to the Underworld for them. Sally Jackson: No explanation needed. They're probably the best mortal parents in the series. I wonder what would happen if Sally got to open the book shop she always dreamed of... A very large Greek mythology section razz

Hera isn't a parent, really, but she probably tops Ares and Hades and even GABE for worst person of the series. I mean...middle of a giant fight against Kronos, and she decides it'd be really cool if her statue tried to crush Annabeth. Can anyone say obsessed, much? And 'Bad timing'?

Hera has some issues as I mentioned before.

BlazingInfernoPhoenix Well, Ares was a really bad father. Remember in The Sea of Monsters? Ares was a jerk to Clarisse in , then again, he's perfect jerk to everyone, So ... Gabe was horrible! Remember how he treated Percy? Yeah, you know what I mean! Thalia's Mom was an alchohlic, So she was pretty bad. Zeus was bad too! Considering what he did to Thalia. Can he even remember all his children? Hades, Remember in The Last Olympian? He said that Bianca deserved to be alive instead of nico! He said that in front of Nico too! Hera, she has some issues... So what do you think? all the parents have there bad days... But I think I have to agree with BlazingInferno about the Ares, Gabe and Thalia's mom... And maybe Zeus too...

I think Mr. Riordan made Hera crazy or something.

ApolloAthena4ever I think Mr. Riordan made Hera crazy or something. He didn't make Hera crazy. He used her the way she was described in the myths about her. A lot of myths described her jealousy, vengefulness, and her hatred for Zues' illegitimate children. Example: Hera was jealous of Zeus' giving birth to Athena without recourse to her (actually with Metis), so she gave birth to Hephaestus without him. Hera was then disgusted with Hephaestus' ugliness and threw him from Mount Olympus. She was also considered of being very vain. Plus she has tried to kill Sues children on countless ocassions. Though the one she pestered the most was Hercules. From putting snakes in his cribe to, giving him 12 labors, and so on and so on. P.S. Everyone Hera is a parent. She only has two kids. Ares and Hephaestus.

Hera also had He.be(I had to put a dot.) The Goddess of Youth and Eileithyia The Goddess of Childbirth. Remember, Zeus was not credited to be Hephaestus's father.

Hades said his father was a bad dad despite the fact that he's a bad dad too. He probably gets some of his bad parenting from Kronos.

Oh come on, guys!
Kronos was not a bad parent, he was just full of himself and in love with his throne. Which is weird, as he is married to one of the more kind goddesses mentioned in Greek Mythology.
But I might want to mention something. It may be wrong, I only found it in once source, but supposedly Kronos was let free by Zeus after awhile..
And Hades, he's just sort of lonely and jealous at his parents.
