 Hikaru, Fenleigh "Ah, I bound it too tightly, didn't I...?" he said, disappointed in himself, of course...
He tilted his head slightly, a bit confused, but nodded, "Oh, I see. Well, Doves are beautiful birds, after all," he said, smiling.
He didn't mind, if Tenyou didn't want to talk, he would wait until he did want to.
"Well, I'm sure you'll be safe here," he said, smiling, "Ill make sure you're safe, so don't worry, ok?" he said, holding one of the other's hand in both of his in a comforting way....

Tenyou gave the firefly a grateful smile. "Thank you," he said, "I won't forget your kindness." There was a new mental note that told him to make sure Fenleigh would be blessed as soon as he was well enough to return home.
Thinking of home, how was everyone? Are they worried about him? And what about the High One? Is he worried as well? What are they doing now, up in the sky and away from the dangers of the Earth? They're probably trying to figure out a way to retrieve him, but they'll have to find him first.
'Please let them find me soon,' Tenyou prayed mentally. 'Don't let the hunters find me before my friends do.'

Hikaru, Fenleigh "..." Fenleigh just smiled, his head tilted slightly, "It's quite alright," he said, "I don't mind the company," he said...

"I'm glad," Tenyou said, then he looked curiously at Fenleigh. "Um... If you don't mind me asking, do you get lonely sometimes? You look a little sad or something of the sort, as if you're lovesick for someone." He had heard that fireflies never get lonely, but Fenleigh looked a little lonely. He had the face of a dreamer, like some of the Wishing or Shooting Star Angels that Tenyou was friends with at home.
The darkness of the night seemed to make him tired. It was reasonable, since Star Angels sleep during the night. He wanted to sleep, but it would be rude to fall asleep in the middle of a conversation, especially with someone who had saved another from danger.

Hikaru, Fenleigh Leigh blinked, "Eh?"
He blushed, "N-No! I-I don't! That's- Wh-What gave you that idea?!" he flailed a little, embarrased (Like tohru from Furuba~ XP).
"U-Uhm, please, d-don't worry about it?" he said, smiling.
How had this person seen through him? The darkness that he had hidden from everyone.
His loneliness, his sadness...
And knowing the impossibility of his love...
"Uhm, m-maybe you should sleep for a while," he said, smiling, to cover the pain, not now.
He didn't want to go there now...
"You're not fully healed yet, so you'll need more rest than usual," he said, still smiling, his head tilting slightly.
He knew the other was probably tired...
And it would be best -for both of them- if he slept.
He got up, "Uhm, I'll leave you to rest then," he said, pausing slightly in the doorway of the room, but as he turned, his expression turned sad.
He thought no one could see it. He was sure no one would see his face now, so he could be sad...
He could be lonely, if he wanted to...
He trudged silently, and slowly to the couch (He had given Ranpa his bed), and hugged one of the overstuffed pillowed to him...
As if to reassure himself...

Tenyou watched as Fenleigh left the room and he was confused. Had he insulted the firefly? He probably did, since there was no other way the firefly would be so nervous after he had asked the question. Tenyou immediately felt the need to help his friend, but he couldn't get up because of the searing pain in his sensitive wing.
While he lay there, he found himself drifting off to sleep. He saw blinking lights in the sky that somehow shined with some coordination, and Tenyou wondered if the Angels were sending a signal to him. Whatever it was, he couldn't understand it. Before he could attempt to signal back, he fell asleep.

"Ngh...~!!" Leigh rubbed his eyes and stretched. THe sun was still up...
Ah, he was off schedule, then, when had he fallen asleep anyways...?
He wondered, then shook his head, and woke himself up, clapping his cheeks, to wake up more, and walked into the kitchen to make breakfast -for two.

Tenyou woke up to the High One's light, and he opened his eyes, only to be forced to close them back because the light was too much. No wonder people never liked looking directly at the High One. Turning his face away and then reopening his eyes, he began to wonder about Fenleigh.
His kind host was, indeed, lonely, Tenyou was sure of that. There couldn't be any possible way for such a reaction to his question. In that case, who was Fenleigh in love with? Or who had he loved, but lost? Perhaps a female firefly who was very dear to him, to answer both questions. Whoever the object of affection was, she must be the cause of Fenleigh's loneliness.

Hikaru, Fenleigh But truthfully, he was in love with a star, a bright and kind star. He knew it was irrational to fall in love with a star, something that technically wasn't even alive, but...
He still did, he loved a star, a star that just happened to be Ranpa, but of course, he didn't know that.
Soon, he finished making breakfast and, setting it all on a tray, he went to see if Ranpa was awake yet, "Ah," he smiled, "You're up," he said, his smile bright.
He would forget about last night...
He had to...

At hearing Fenleigh's voice, Tenyou exited his thoughts and faked a smile at the firefly. "Yes, I suppose I am awake," he said. "Good morning, Fenleigh." He couldn't help but feel sad inside because of the firefly's loneliness. It reminded him of his own loneliness. In at least that way, they were both alike. They both wanted someone to love.
What confused Tenyou was why Fenleigh was lonely. From just looking at him, the angel knew that Fenleigh was a firefly of one of the brightest of lights. If he had been lovesick for another, how come she wouldn't accept him? The light of fireflies are, from what he heard from his friends, usually used for attracting mates. In that case, Fenleigh should probably already be with the one he loved, unless she wasn't a firefly.
"Fenleigh, I can't help but think that you're in love, but with whom?" Tenyou suddenly blurted out. "Is she a fellow firefly who isn't interested in your light?"

He blushed, and looked down, "N-no... she's not...." hr said, before looking up at him shyly, "Y-you won't laugh if I tell hou...?" he asked///

"I won't laugh. I promise," Tenyou replied. "I'll completely respect you love for whoever you're interested in. I know you and whoever you love will end up together one day." So Fenleigh wasn't in love with another firefly. In that case, which animal was he in love with? Maybe Tenyou would be able to talk to one of the Love Angels about it. He or she would probably know how to get Fenleigh and his object of affection together.
For some reason, Tenyou felt a strange hurt in him, mainly where his heart is. Maybe it was homesickness or something related to that. Perhaps he was sad for whatever unrequited love Fenleigh had for whoever he fell in love with.

Hikaru, Fenleigh Leigh smiled sheepishly, and noervously.
"W-well... the things is... it's not... a who... really," he said, blushing.
"It- I actually... Uhm, I... I fellinlovewithastar!" he blurted out, blushing bright red.
He was going to laugh, he just knew he was!
Oh why did he ever tell?!
"Uhm, I-well, I just... everytime I see it..." he said, looking at his hands, and smiling a bit softly, "I just feel this warmth in my heart, and I just know... If it were a person... that's it'd be kind... and warm... and caring," he said, holding his hands to his heart, smiling warmly at the thought, as he imagined the star in a bright light...
"I, uhm... I know it's silly, but I... I just can't help it," he said, shyly, looking down as he blushed a bit.
"...A-Are you... going to laugh...?" his words were softer almost, than a whisper, and even he could barely hear the words...
Please don't laugh he thought, the thought of this beautiful person laughing at his dream, his love, and his life...
He felt something in his heart constrict, squeezing painfully...

Tenyou's eyes widened a little at Fenleigh's confession. Oh, so he was in love with a Star Angel. Well, that would be something that normal Earth beings would laugh about, but that's because most of them don't know that Star Angels exist. For him, the firefly's love for the Star Angel was no laughing matter, but something that had to be respected.
"Oh, I won't laugh," Tenyou said with a kind and understanding smile. "Stars really are beautiful. I can understand why you fell in love with one." He could only think of one star that Fenleigh could have possibly fallen in love with. There was a beautiful angel back home named Martha, and she had the brightest of lights when she becomes a star. "So, when and how did you fall in love with the star? Perhaps because of the light? The light of a star, I was told, reflects their personality."
