Scat barely cleared the fence and landed heavily in the bushes. He spat leaves out of his mouth and pushed to where Trixie sat. His tongue lolled out as the smell of the food filled his nose. "Ladies first" he said, wagging his tail.

Kipcha stealthily weaved her way through the shadows, avoiding any bottles or puddles to not make a clamour. She emerged half-way in the sunlight, soaking in the sun's warmth, and inhaling the smell of the streets. She stopped at the end of the ally to look for any suspecious people, and soon emerged to sit at the corner of the ally, watching the on-going walkers and traffic. For some reason, it amused her to see the humans in such a rush to get from one place to the next. As she sat there, a few children walked by with their parents, saying, "Look Mommy! A puppy! Can I pet it?" only to be dissapointed by their reply, "No, you don't know where that thing's been, and it might bite you."
Haru lazily lay in a darkened ally, listening to the sounds the city made, horns of cars, and the loud talking of humans. He shivered a bit, and stood up to stretch himself. He trotted down the ally-way, his ears alert and listening, and his tail up. As he trotted, he picked up a discarded chicken bone that had spent a few days decomposing. After a few snaps of his jaws, all of the delicious marrow was gone. He spat out the rest of it, not pausing one of his steps.

[[Welcome to the RP! ^_^ Nice profiles~]] Current Time in Town Is..... 7:30 PM
Kona's stomach growled loudly as she trotted down the street. Geez, hungrier than I thought. The collie mutt had one blue and one yellow eye, both glinted in the evening's dying light. Suddenly something met her nose, a scent, warm....inviting... She closed her eyes and sniffed the air. Meat She quickened her pace. If it was human or a dog, she should be able to weasel her way into a bite or two.
Kona followed the scent to a fence. The smell emanated from inside a garden. She climbed on top of a large planter, pushing aside the bamboo inside to get even footing. She launched herself over the wrought iron gate, her tail banging the top. Right as she landed she heard a deep male voice. "Ladies first" it said. A large shepherd and a smaller female came into view. She trotted over towards the bushes in the far corner of the garden. "Don't mind if I do" she replied, advancing toward the bag, obviously full of food, on the ground. She kept her ears back and tail low, trying to look as sweet and appealing as possible.

(Thanks! Can't wait to get further into the RP. Oh, wait, wrong time frame in my other RP... Well that was earlier that day then. lol)
In the dimming hours of dusk, Kipcha had left her earlier post on the ally corner, and wandered the vacant streets. She would waver in and out of sight, her coal-black coat making her seemingly invisable in the shadows. She sniffed around a little, and quickened her pace, realizing she was close to her destinaiton. Behind an Italian restraunt in the downtown portion of the city, she sat, waiting for the owner to come and dump today's vegetables, fruits, and meats out that were no longer fresh. At the sight of the large black dog, the old Italian man smiled, muttering words in a mix of Italian and English, then emptied the boxes of the food out into the backstreet. Kipcha ate the scraps, picking around the vegetables to get to the meats, and only eating a few of the fruits.
Haru's trot was now nothing more than a slow walk, his tail was no longer high, but it drooped behind his legs. He stopped, time to time, to sniff out a few places were a scent of food wavered, but found there was nothing. After lapping up some water, he continued on his search through the maze that was the backstreets of the city. Looking up towards the sky, he saw the air was cloudy, and smelt wet. Rain would soon drench the city. He found a packing crate that was good enough shelter for this one night, so he squeezed himself into it, sighing at the growing difficulty to survive in this city.

Shadow woke as the sun began to set. He slunk into an ally and nosed around in the trash in the gutter. Finding nothing, he moved on quickly. His jet black fur camoflaged perfectly in the shadows of the dingy ally. He caught a fleeting scent of dog and suddenly wondered where Trixie was. With a new urge he went in serch of her.
Trixie snuffled her dainty nose into the bag and pulled out four burgers one at a time, and then a large box of fries. She looked up at the Collie. "Hi." she said cheerfully. "Be my guest." she nudged one of the wrapped burgers towards her.

Kona slunk forward carefully. "That's very kind of you..." she said quietly. She crept the rest of the way to the food, keeping her wary eyes on the shepherd. "Too kind" she finished, her eyes glinted as her teeth closed over the bag. She spun around, scooping the hamburgers back into the bag, and launched forward, looking for footing to get over the wall. "Suckerrrrth!" she spoke through her teeth and the bag.
Scat watched Kona take off and growled loudly. Little Brat! He leapt forward, and in two huge bounds had caught up to the deceptive collie. He stained forward and caught one of her legs between his teeth. He grasped just hard enough to bring her down, sending the contents of the bag spilling over the garden's lawn. Scat pinned the struggling collie and bared his teeth in her face. "I don't have a problem with beggars, but I do have a problem with thieves!"
Kona tried to squirm a little more, and found she couldn't move. The shepherd had her pinned down good. "Hey hey hey gimme a break, man!" she whimpered. "I'm just hungry, haven't eaten in a few days." she said, slicking her ears back and looking at Scat through her lashes.
Scat softened at the collie. Suddenly, she made another pass, twisting her legs to try and escape. The shepherd shook his head. "You can't be trusted as far as you can be thrown". He released the collie, walking towards the food. "Now. Me and my new friend, who got this food are gonna eat. Then, if there's some left, it's all yours."
Kona humphed. Well, better one in the mouth than two in the bush...she thought. "Fine". She sat on her haunches and looked away from the shepherd haughtily. "I can wait".

Kipcha picked up the remainer of the meat and return to her ally. Walking steadily, she felt a few stray drops of water, and quickened her pace. As she turned the corner, she smelt something in the air, a mix of different traces of dog, two of which were not too far away. She kept her head low and slowly advanced into the ally, wary of any dogs. As she krept along, a sneeze startled her. She quickly turned to see a dog squished into a wooden packing cart.
Haru stared at the coal-black dog that had found him, anxiously waiting to see what the dog would do, thinking that the dog would probably attack. At the sight of the dog moving, Haru tightly closed his eyes, not wanting to see if the dog would harm him, but nothing happened, he opened his eyes to see the dog still standing there. Dumbfounded, he stared to see what the dog would do.
Kipcha silently chuckled at the dog's actions, and emptied her mouth full of Italian meats. Looking back at the dog for a mere second, she turned and left, leaving the snack for the frightened dog.
Haru was confused, not knowing what had just happened, but his hunger got the best of him as he crawled out to eat the scraps.

Shadow found Trixie's scent by a Macdonalds. He brought his lips up in a snarl as he scented another mae with her. She's mine! He thought possessively and chased after the scent.
Trixie watched all this transpire with passive eyes. Fights happened everyday, and it wasn't as if the collie didn't deserve it. Strays stole from humans. It was a fact. But stealing from another stray was different. Trixie stepped forward and grabbed one of the hambergers that had spilled out. She lay back down half under the bush and ripped the paper and began to eat. She pitied the Collie's hunger but she was always welcome to go nosing through the trash.
Shadow caught the scent of another female with them and the scent of hot greasy food. He lept over the wall and landed in an over grown yard. He was meters from the collie and the drak sheperd. He caught site of Trixie near a bush, wagging her tail as always. He muscled his way over to the bag and pulled out a burger. He wrinkled his muzzle daring anyone to challenge him.
Trixie looked up and wagged her tail at Shadow. "Was wondering when you were going to grace us with your presence." She grinned and finished her burger.

Kipcha continued on her way, half distracted by the group of smells not far off, and soon found herself cautiously going towards the other dogs, but made sure not to be seen nor heard. If they caught any thought of her presence, she would quickly retreat. Coming to the street corner, she only poked her head out to observe the dogs. There were two females and two males, and it seemed like a few knew each other already. She flexed her ears to hear their conversations.

Shadow quickly tore the paper wraping and scarfed the burger, barely chewing it. He looked at Scat and puffed himself up to twice his size.
Trixie looked at him. "Come over here and sit by me."
Shadow looked back at her distracted, then backed up and joined her. He sat so close he was touching her. He seemed possessive of the small female.
Trixie took no notice of his attitude and finished licking the crumbs and grease from the paper. She licked her lips. "Mmmmm that was good." She looked to Scat, "May I introduce Shadow. He owns a lot of the city territory." She looked at the black wolf like dog with amusement. "Shadow, this is my new friend Scat. I don't know who the Collie is."

[[Sorry, had to drive all day sweatdrop I'm here though! I like this thread also ^_^]] Kona waited until the small dog had eaten, and Scat had too. Another large black dog, who the small female introduced as Shadow, gobbled up a hamburger. There were only a few fries left, scattered about. Damn She leaned forward and scarfed up all that was left. The mention of Shadow's territory made her ears perk. She looked from Scat to Shadow. Scat was younger, about the same build, but Shadow had territory. She watched him lean over Trixie. Looks like he's already got a b***h too "Name's Kona" she said, "I just rolled into town Your Majesty". She mock bowed and laughed, sniffing around for anything that might be left.
Scat watched the black male carefully. He was about the same size and build as him, but the mention of his territory put Scat on edge. No dog claimed territory unless they had something to hide or someone to fight. "Your girl here sure helped us out" he said. He breathed in and stopped for a moment. He scented another dog. He couldn't tell where they were, or even what sex, but they were somewhere nearby. Crap...Did this guy bring another? he asked himself. He stood up, joining Kona on her search for crumbs. "What side of town you from, Shadow?" he asked the male, trying to figure out where the other dog was.

((I've been grounded for quite some time now for my grades, so I can only get on at school on our laptops when my parents don't know, and when my mom is feeling generous, which she is (snow day!!!), so sorry if my posts come slow.))
Bo walked around and around until he caught the scents of a large group of dogs. "Cool! More people to meet." Bo raced toward the scents, and came face to face with a group of dogs, all larger than him. As usual, Bo didn't let this intimidate him. "Hi everybody," Bo said excitedly.
