"Shopping is definitely fun." She laughed, popping the piece of candy past her lips. "And it's most certainly one of my favorite things to do... But there are other things too. I play the piano, which can be fun just as much as it can be trying. Other than that, I... I think my life is pretty boring."
As sad as she was to admit that, she was certain it was true. There was something missing from her life, something that she couldn't quite put her finger on... Something that would eat at her if she took too much time to think on it.
Instead of dwelling on it she smiled again. "I'm sure that'll change, though. I mean... I didn't have a roommate before."

"I'll hopefully be a good roommate! Though I probably won't be here too much." Imogen admitted. She did want to be a good roommate but it was true she'd often be out, which she hoped Cordelia wouldn't mind. She'd never done well cooped up inside and besides to sleep and such, she wasn't often home. Being inside she got restless and bored easily unless she had something to distract her from her need to keep on moving, burn some of her excessive energy.
"I go jogging in the mornings and swing dancing twice a week, and like to go out exploring the city, trying new things...though I'll always try not to be noisy coming and going. You'd be welcome to join me sometimes if you wanted, we could try some new food or see a movie or something." Ah movies. Even then she had to take something quiet to fiddle with in her fingers and she'd never managed to sit through a film longer than two hours. Even the most gripping film couldn't keep her still.

"It's alright, I try not to spend a whole lot of time cooped up in this room if I can help it either. We're so lucky that the city is just right there outside of Crystal's gates. It's not nearly as restricting as I'd thought it would be initially." In truth, she'd been incredibly worried about what going to an all girl's boarding school would do for her social life. Luckily for her, it hadn't damaged it all that much.
"Swing dancing?" Her brow lofted. "That... Actually sounds like a lot of fun. And I looove going to the movies. Sometimes it's the best way to wind down after a big shopping trip. Either that or good dinner. I've never been much one for jogging... I've been thinking about signing up for a kick-boxing class, though. Have you seen some of those instructors?"

"No, but I'm sure I could find several kick-boxing classes pretty quickly. I'm good at finding stuff like that...in fact I think I have a flyer somewhere might have kickboxing. I picked it up for the tai chi but the studio does all sorts." Imo fiddled with a ringlet as she tried to remember. Tai chi was going to be a laugh. She'd really have to focus on not rushing through the motions, which she though would be good for her. She'd been thinking of seeing if Aggie wanted to go maybe.
"When I've got my stuff up here I'll have a look." She offered, and hearing voices out in the corridor got up to go see. Sure enough it was the admin person and someone carrying her bags - her mind supplied the word servant and then she felt silly for thinking it but didn't know what else to call him - a porter? Either way, her belongings were here at last.
"Speak of the devil, that's my stuff now."

"In that case, I'll leave you to put away your things in peace. Feel free to move anything in the closet that needs moving!" She grinned as she stood up as well, picking up one of the books that was sitting on her desk. "I have to run this back down to the library and then see whether or not they have the other one in that I've been waiting for. I'll see you at dinner?" Her brow lofted slightly as she slid out into the hall past the people bringing things in, waiting for a response.

"Sure, I'll see you later!" Imo nodded and beamed. Her first impression of Cordelia had been a bit shakey and she'd been nervous to get here it was true. However if this was any indication of how they'd get on as roomies she was sure that they'd get along just fine. She raised her hand briefly to wave goodbye before she was being asked by the porter where she'd like her things put down and the admin lady was talking to her...it was ok. She'd see Cordy later.
Would be hard not to, now they shared a room.
