Nina frowned slightly. "The males? What do you mean? They've never bothered me before. My best friend is a male." Her mouth turned into a small smile at the encouragement, but she was still curious. She nodded. "Need a few things for restocking. I don't live very close to here."

"Oh well. If its never happened to you before, then you shouldn't worry too much." Aditya gave Nina a reassuring smile, "Just be careful around the males that have drunk alcohol. That's all." "Ah. I should be restocking too before it snows to the point I'm snowed in." she tapped her chin thoughtfully.

Nina is still curious, though doesn't push it. Maybe her friend would tell her about it later if she asked. "Alcohol." She muttered to herself, the word familiar, but the liquid unknown to her taste buds or experience. "Do you think we'll get that much snow?" She asked in awe. Being snowed in, trapped in the house. Stuck in the house alone with mom and dad for the whole winter?! Ugh! "Maybe some shovels would be good." She said aloud, though partially thinking to herself.

"Shovels would be good, though sometimes it snows so much that you can't open the door!" Aditya laughed, her tail wagging slightly. "It happened to me when I was a child once. My parents had to help me and and my brother out through the window cause we demanded that we wanted to play in the snow!" she stopped laughing, her voice adding a tone of exaggerated seriousness, "Though it might be bad now cause I wonder how I'll get my food."

"Really?" Nina asked, eyes wide. She'd never seen snow that high before. At the mention of food, Nina cocked her head. "Didn't you dry your food at home to store it? I suppose you could buy it dried too. It lasts longer that way. And... how long can snow stay that high?" Her question took on a slightly nervous tone.

Aditya nodded, "Yep. It doesn't happen much, but when it does its merciless." the wolftauress tilted her head to the side, trying to jog her memory, "If the sun shines long enough, probably in two days or a whole week I believe...if it stays cold, then probably a little longer..." "Well..." she started, "Food doesn't taste as good when its dried. I do have dried food, but since I enjoy cooking, it's quite annoying to cook food when you have a bunch of dried food. Fresh items are best."

"A whole week." Nina breathed. Anywhere from two days to over a week stuck inside sounded like torture to her ears. "I'd climb through the window too if that was the only way out after two days stuck inside." Tilting her head, she thought a moment before nodding. "Fresh does taste nice. We use lots of dried stuff though at our house."

"Yeah...it was pretty fun though..." Aditya smiled, taking Nina by the hand, "Wellllll~ There's this cool looking cattaur somewhere on the edge of town that sells fresh fruits and vegetables! It's pretty cool what he can do with his magic!" The wolftaur tugged at the teen's hand, "Wanna go?"

Wrinkling her nose slightly, still thinking a week indoors would cause madness, she flicked her tail a couple times. "A cattaur?" She tucked her hands behind her back shyly. "Sure! I'd like to see it if you think his magic is cool."

"Of course it's cool! And if it wasn't for him," Aditya said, looking around to see where the said-cattaur would be, "We wouldn't be getting fresh fruits in the winter!" She smiled at Nina, "It gets really boring having to eat dried fruits and vegetables in the winter. And you really can't do much with it." The wolftauress sniffed the air, hoping to catch the scent. It was extremely weak, but it was there. Somewhere. "It's much better to cook with fresh vegetables, don't you think?"

"He can grow things?" Nina flexed her fingers lightly. Maybe he would know.... Eh, maybe she should just leave it be. She too sniffed the air, copying Aditya's motion. "Yeah. You can't really cook with dried foods unless it's like a soup. I like cooking fresh vegetables with meats."

"Yep." Aditya said, where was he? He was usually so hard to miss. "He can do other wonderful things with his magic. Lots of things. It amazing what one cattaur could do~" well maybe that was because of his...'disposition' perhaps? Aditya would never know. Suddenly she caught sight of the cattaur. "Ah!" she exclaimed, dragging Nina towards him in her excitement. "Here he is!"
Reyson sat hunched over a small patch of dirt, in a sweater covered in dirt and holes. He couldn't help but shiver a little, he hated the cold soooo much. If he could, he would summon a small fire to keep him warm but, the townspeople would probably freak on him.
He played with the small bundle of seeds he had in a cloth as he waited for taurs to come buy his vegetables. This was such a tedious job! But sadly this was the only way he could make some money so that he would at least have a warm place to eat and sleep for the night. The patchy cattaur couldn't help but grumble to himself, unaware of the two approaching wolftaurs.

Nina followed dutifully, searching around for a male cattaur with vegetables. She didn't see one yet though. She perked up when Aditya called excitedly, eyes scanning. The only cattaur she saw though was a tattered old cat sitting on the ground. This was the guy? She cocked her head, looking in confusion. Why was his sweater so holey, and his skin such a menagerie of patterns? She refused to be rude and stare though, so she brought up her neutral expression, smiling slightly as they got closer. She held back a bit to let Aditya talk to him first since she knew him better.

"Reyson!" Aditya sang out. She trotted towards the ragdoll cattaur, "Do you have any fruits and vegetables for me today?"
Reyson looked up, stopping his grumbling as he smiled at Aditya. "Adi!" he raised his arm up, waving at her excitedly. Scattering a few seeds on the ground before him, Reyson flicked his tail and suddenly the seeds matured into many kinds of vegetable plants possible. Reyson jumped up, slipping into a business-like tone. "No fruits today, but I did get a lot peppers." he said, pointing to a small cluster to his right, "Sweet ones, spicy ones, you name it and I might have it. And right here..." he said, pointing to another cluster to his left, "Carrots, eggplants, and lettuce." Rummaging through the bundle of seeds, he shook his head, "Hm...I thought I had potatoes in here too...lemme look..." Reyson turned the cloth upside down, shaking it free of all the seeds that clung to it. Stamping a patchy paw on the ground, more vegetable plants spontaneously sprouted. Scratching the his head, he stared at the plants in confusion. "...I don't know what I did with the potatoes..."
Aditya whispered to Nina, "Isn't he fun?" she let out a laugh, her tail swishing from side to side. "So Nina." she said in a louder voice, "Which ones are you going to buy?" the wolftaur asked, as she flicked a few leaves of the pepper plant nearest her

Nina couldn't help but smile at Reyson's eccentricity. Was it a cattaur thing, or just him? She clasped her hands together at she looked at the vegetables on the ground. Food grown by magic... Was that healthy? She squatted down, sniffing at them curiously. They smelled okay... Well, just ask! She looked up at Reyson from the ground, cocking her head as she asked. "So, it doesn't matter that these were grown magically? They're still as tasty as the ones in the garden?"
