Good, more notes. This meant they were at least on the right track. There was no way they were getting these pieces for no reason. No way they weren't supposed to somehow string them all together. There was sense to be made of this, Onora was sure of it. Equally sure, she knew it had to be in these clues themselves. They just had to be; otherwise, what did they have left? A Chaos ridden headquarters and a missing creator. The very thought of it tore at her belly.

She looked on over Caoimhe's shoulder as the older Fa'e worked to photograph the clue with her phone. Lips pursed. Paused. "Wait..." Quickly, she snapped her own clue out from her sleeve pocket, unfolding it and putting it out beside Astor's. "Look! They're the same handwriting. Exactly the same! 'Hidden in plain sight, safety in numbers. I'm on of you, or you're one of me.' That has to be connected."

As for the second sheet... clearly neither her now Caoimhe had a second sheet. Maybe it was something extra, something special. Onora leaning over it, tall and gangly in comparison to the other girl.

"It sounds like a falling star. Doesn't it? The first two lines of the second stanza?"

"A quarry is a place where you dig up rocks," said Astor, who actually had not given all that much thought to the words he had scribbled down at seven this morning. He hadn't been properly awake then, and he'd been preoccupied. In fact, the only thing he seemed to have going over Caoimhe in terms of understanding any of this was that he spoke English natively. "Rockquarry's just kind of redundant," he added, in case his first statement hadn't been clear enough.

The red-haired girl (he hadn't gotten her name!) seemed like she was the brains in this operation. He leaned over to look at her paper, and nodded. "It is! But I don't think it's got to do anything with this," he said, shaking the paper he held in his other hand. "I think Zaoll's note was in different handwriting."

"But yeah," he continued, "it does kind of sound like a falling star."

The poetic variety, of course. Astor, being a space-sider, knew better than that stars could actually fall.

When Astor and Onora started talking about the puzzle, Caoimhe stepped back. She didn't have much to offer outside of her gut reactions, and the petite youth didn't want to look stupid in front of two younger Fa'e. Even if she didn't know what the word vulnerable meant. "Yeah, falling star," she parroted, happy to agree. See? She understands too!

Glancing at Astor's note again, Caoimhe picked out a particular phrase and read it out loud, "Every twinkling treasure in the sky could not keep me from coming down to earth." Her eyes flashed up to Onora first, then to Astor. "Twinkling treasures are the stars, yeah? But who is the 'me' person?" she asked, words searching for answers her mind could not piece together.

All at once she recognized a clue that she and Sei had looked up. Her finger darted out fast, stabbing at the paper. "OH. OH. I figured this one out with Sei. It is a line from this movie called Moulin Rouge. 'A kiss on the hand might be quite continental, but diamonds are a girl's best friend.' It's from that. That's the whole line." Caoimhe had no idea if anything that she was saying made sense, but she was trying, damnit!

Onora looked between the two of them, studying the papers thoughtfully with her mouth compressed down into a thin line. There was a lot in the lines that seemed like they were reaching for something, that seemed to at least somewhat draw patterns and loops of logic. "Treasure," she remarked. "Which would be like diamonds, right? Diamonds are a kind of... hmm. Treasure and falling stars."

After a moment she shook her head, straightening up and looking to Caoihme. "We can't do anything with just this. I'll bet the rest of them will clear it up." For emphasis, she knocked her fist absently against the flat of her palm, nodding. "We need to go see Dusty, we need to get as many Fa'e as we can together and maybe between the lot of us we'll manage to figure it all out." She tucked her own clue back into her pocket.

"Can we do that? Maybe between all of us we can get enough people together..."
