As Sue joined FD, Nils, and Rei near the bar, the dragon's hand snaked its way back to his martini glass, which he raised and nodded at Sue's notion of making the party memorable for all, sentiments mirrored by Nils just after. FD wasn't worried about it being memorable. If Host Club parties were anything, they were memorable. Maybe not always for good reasons, but very, very memorable all the same.
After raising his glass, he couldn't help but reply to Sue's offer to train with him on speed: "I'll have to take you up on that some time, Sue. My claws might be quicker than you think," he smiled. "But be sure we take Rei with us when we do" he added, smiling coyly at the Druid. After that, he downed the rest of his first martini and readied the next, being so conveniently close to the bar already.

Oh yes, this dress was definitely the most fun dress Lyre had ever worn. It was so... swishy! And black and sparkly, perfect for a New Year's party. She loved the way that the dress covered her feet, so that it looked as if she were floating along really gracefully... not that she really wasn't graceful on her feet, she was a feline, of course. She had tied a big black ribbon into her braided ponytail for the evening, really bringing her ensemble together.
She pursed her lips, hands on her hips, and looked around. Lethe PROMISED that she'd come to this party! Lyre didn't want to have to go out and forcibly drag her sister in, but she'd be really hurt if the more tomboyish of the duo stood her up... she'd even laid out some clothes for her, so that she wouldn't have to go out shopping or, worse, tear apart Lyre's own closet while looking for something. She did that a lot. Took Lyre's clothes to wear. Just because she was too stubborn to just go out and do some shopping for herself, and she wouldn't EVER go with Lyre when she offered to take her... She swiveled her hips experimentally, watching the bottom tier of her dress swish back and forth. She didn't see anyone else from the Hostess Club, either... not even Ganon and Aruna, who, at least to Lyre, always seemed up for a dance or two.

(NOBODY PANIC I'M STILL HERE)
Rhys took one last look before festivities could begin. He couldn't see much that had really been out of place. Granted, it was a bit tricky managing so many things for such a, err... vertical place, and anything above the battlements was left obviously barren, but given rather short notice, it wasn't bad. I should find everyone, give them my compliments...
Not many had arrived yet, but crew generally spent more time in the castle, so he wasn't terribly surprised at Rath's appearance. Just a bit--he'd never known Rath to be big on social gatherings. That didn't mean he was a total introvert, however, and most (if not everyone) knew that well enough.
He grinned, savoring the compliment. "Thank you, Rath. I'll be sure to let the others know you approve."
He paused at the reputation bit. "Hehe. I wouldn't say we have the best reputation... last Halloween with Madrianna didn't end well, last Christmas was mostly a celebration to our survival, and... Spring was partly wrecked by Siegell." Geez, Rhys, way to sound confident about matters. There you go, selling yourself short once again...
He sensed what he was doing, and rallied magnificently. "But I daresay this celebration will be perfectly cheerful and sound!" At least until Hikaru succeeds in getting half the populace drunk, he added in his thoughts, but we'll make sure things go smoothly.
While Rhys was thinking how to give a better ending bit than the above, Amelia was dressed. Perhaps ideally for Rhys, we might speculate that she came in dressed in nothing in particular, emphasis on the "nothing". However, that would be in public, and that would be wrong.
No, instead she'd opted for a strapless purple dress with sky-blue high heels. On the one hand, the heels felt awkward--No matter how many parties we have, I'll never get used to them--but what other kind of shoe went well with a dress? She kept on hand on each side of the dress, swishing it around as she came in once more. The lack of straps made her feel a bit uncomfortable, being a different style than she'd had in the past, but it was a nice contrast to her hair and eyes. Having a slightly larger chest helped fill out the dress nicely, too.

Rath made no reaction to the hostmaster's awkward speech. He had no right to see it as odd anyhow, given that his skills were far less developed. It was true that many things had happened at the parties, but they still served their purpose. At the first harvest festival, when Madrianna had usurped control, the host party had managed to get Nino to safety. Celebrating survival at winter was more than enough cause to celebrate. As for the spring party... well, Rath's eye simply twitched at hearing Siegell's name. In any case, a celebration was still a celebration.
"Nevertheless, your parties were all remembered." The nomad replied. "I believe, though correct me if I am mistaken, that this is the point of a party." Rath turned slightly and looked out onto the open room. "Thus, I stand by my statement."
The acting captain looked back, glancing at Amelia, then turned back to Rhys. "Oh, yes." he started. "I heard about your marriage. Congratulations." He praised, though his tone could have fooled many. "Did you travel anywhere special?" Of course, Rath knew where they had gone, for it was his job to learn about things. He just knew he should try to not simply stand there and not talk.

I've been blessed with the gifts of the gifts of the Lady Saint, so show me some respect! It's not every day you find a rarity like me.₪Victoria₪ Victoria, despite her promises to be on the lookout for those whom were straying into the darker parts of magic every waking moment just simply could not live up to such a demanding vow. While it sounded good, and she tried her best to keep her eyes out for Druids, Shamen, and others whom were succumbing to their dark gifts, a lady couldn't live doing her duty 24/7.
As always, word got around in Eyris that a celebration was under way. Since it was rather cold outside, Victoria made sure to bundle up before taking a horse and carriage (the last one that came by the clinic for this holiday's night) to Eyris Castle. Although it wasn't 'crowded' there certainly were people gathering.
And they were happy, by the looks of it. The Hosts were looking fabulous in their fancy outfits they'd chosen for the New Year's Party, and the decorations were all made in very good fashion. The bishop took off her winter hood to get a good look around, and felt that for once it would be a festival without interruption.
She caught a glimpse of someone familiar already: the Fire Dragon that she'd met during the guild's anniversary. "Well, Flametongue, it's nice to see you!" she said cheerfully, running up to Hikaru and catching his attention with a friendly wave. "Let me know if you need a priest or priestess for that ceremony of yours, I'd be happy to volunteer my holy services!" ♥
One would wonder how Victoria knew of FD and Nils being engaged, but this was Eyris City. It was where the food was great, the beer was better, and the rumors spread over both pints and plates. One would wonder if there was any secrets anymore.ΘжElmine's LightжΘ If you are my ally, fear not, for healing is on your way! If you're my enemy, you'll be purged, and dead you shall stay.

"So nice to see you again, Victoria!" FD called to the Bishop as she approached. "I'll be sure to keep your services in mind as the day approaches, thank you!" he answered to her offer for his and Nils' wedding. "But for now, uh sister, would you care for a drink," he asked, gesturing to the wide assortment of drinks available for any and all with one hand while he finished his second martini with the other. After gulping it down, he added, "if there's anything we can do for you, just say the word. The Host Club is here to serve tonight!"
Two drinks so far. Not bad. He even refrained from refilling his glass with a third for the time being.

After all the time he had been around Eyris, Ziaram could tell that parties would be natural around times of holidays, and this was no exception. The Host Club was setting up when he came around to check it out, and he was certainly surprised with all the decorations. He would certainly give his thanks to the hard workers around there. Despite the fact that he felt new, he did know some of the people there...Sue, who was busy with Nils, Rei and FD, and of course he could tell Rath from the others, since it was something from the large fight a few months ago that he remembered seeing him there. Ziaram could tell this was the time that no one would be alone.
Moving across the floor, Ziaram started to make his way over to where Sue and others were, and noted how he wasn't feeling all that bad about this. Certainly from the last major event that took place around here didn't do anything to his nerves. He was feeling better that the fiend that slashed his shoulder was apprehended, though the Dark dragon from Impersus was still on his mind. Despite that, he figured he would still try to have a good time, so he went over to Sue and said, "Great to see you here Sue. This should be a great party for the New Year."
(Wow I felt blah at first and then this was born.)

"You shouldn't make light of these parties, Rhys," Amelia said, walking up and embracing him. "Everyone enjoys them! We really do. No belittling yourself!"
She turned around to Rath, giving a warm smile in greeting. She was just a bit puzzled by his tone of voice regarding their marriage, but this was who Rath was--a man of stoic build. He might not have conveyed the proper tone for their union, but the meaning was definitely there.
"Thank you," Rhys said in reply, beaming. "It's been a very happy marriage!" And somewhat physical as well as happy, but let's not go there. "We went to Estarcia for our honeymoon, actually. There was a really nice and cozy cabin we rented on one of the mountains. Fresh air, and a gorgeous landscape from dawn until dusk!
"How have matters been with you?" Rhys asked, curious. "We heard a breakout happened here while we were away. You haven't been overworked lately, have you?"
--------
"Cap'n, with all due respect... NO."
"Bu' it's a party! It's go' tae hae drinks!"
"Well, yes. But that's not the point."
"The point, Captain, is that your standard suit of armor isn't formal!"
"...Formal? ...Formal," Ghis mused, letting the word roll off his tongue. "For... mal... Well, 'mal' ah'm guessin' means somethin' bad. So yeh both wan' me tae go in fer bad?"
"Nonono," Charice responded, having for once in her life opted for a non-white color (she wasn't sure this orange dress of hers would work... it clashed with her green hair, but it felt awkward with a green-orange color scheme). "It means you wear something a bit fancier. Like the suit Javert is wearing."
Ghis paused, considering Javert's basic black suit, always a good standby for such occasions. "...It's tae small."
"Not MY suit," Javert added with a groan. "Get a suit and wear that!"
"...Okay, look a' me. Ah don't look like th' type tae be wearin' a suit."
"Oh, grow up. What, is that armor the only thing you wear?" Charice asked, annoyed at Ghis' apparent lack of fashion sense.
"Err..." Ghis paused. Charice wasn't one to get in his face often (or anyone, for that matter), but it had become apparent her one big pet peeve was when guys showed up to a party and weren't dressed for the occasion. He supposed it still possible for him to get in as he was, but not without (at least) these two kicking and screaming at his heels.
"Ahh, no, 'course not," he said. "Ah think ah got a few things hangin' 'round I could be usin'. Now, if ye'll 'scuse me...!"
And Ghis lumbered off. How the heck he'd find a tailor at such short notice, he had no idea. He hoped maybe Leon would say the armor was acceptable, or at least someone else who was going that wouldn't nitpick...
Jin had already appeared in the castle, but nobody seemed to recognize him without the black robes or mask.
Sure, he had on a mask like always, but it was just so bizarre that other people had a tendency to believe he was somebody else. Some Estarcian nobleor perhaps a new OC.

Rath's attention was drawn in at the mention of Estarcia. It had been a while since he had gone through that country, but he could remember the journey well. It was good that the couple had gone to the mountains. Practically nobody of that country dared dwell there, save for wealthy, high status individuals who wished to have a mountainside retreat. Staying in a city would put them in contact with the people of the country, who were well known to be very high maintenance and rude, especially to foreigners. Rath was very uncertain about how the country felt about Learania, especially with him, a nomad, being part of the crew.
The subject changed, when Rhys asked a question. Rath was unsure of how to respond, at first. There was a definite answer, but it would be pointless to express it. Still, he could explain some things to them. "Yes, somehow many convicts simultaneously broke out of the asylum. They made their way to Eyris, and began to cause a riot... At the same time, the citizens began to act strangely as well." He paused for a brief moment. "...Admittedly, I had been having troubling dreams around that time, myself. Thankfully though, the cause of the chaos has been.. stopped."
Rath ceased at that, not wanting to end up getting into a discussion about Razevi, or Soren, thus spoiling the fun of the party. Though he had been studying the sorceress' history and learning all he could about her, he would put that work aside, for now. He also had to answer Rhys' last question. "As for being overworked... ...Well, that's really all just a state of mind, isn't it?"

Joshua had been at the party unnoticed by anyone for a fair bit of time actually.... well unnoticed except by those who knew how to find someone ready to flip a coin, and as always he had been found, and had come out quite well... a purse full of shiny new coins was in his coat and a new hat to replace the one lost in Sentria was tilted down over his face.
It hid quite the wicked grin. "I've had good luck with coins tonight.... now to try my luck with women!" He said to himself scoping out the crowd for faces he either recognized or ones that he'd like to meet.
"Oh ho! Is that Amelia.... She’s really grown up!" Thankfully Joshua saw the embrace she gave a bishop. "And off limits...." Another blonde caught his eye near the bar, "A cleric? With yellow hair?" Joshua then frowned... his luck hadn't been very good with another blonde cleric... so he decided to pass on that. Not to far from her he spied someone he had seen before.
"That’s the nomad from the desert isn't it....? I didn't get her name before which gives me a reason to speak to her.... and she's good looking to boot!" Pulling one of his new coins from the purse he quickly flipped it, the coin made a small "Shing" as it rolled off the ring in his left hand, despite being right handed with his sword Joshua tossed all his coins with his left hand... as the right one was used to sneak in another coin or to help cheat.
Catching it he looked at the side it landed on, Tails. "Well that’s nothing but bad luck.... maybe I should hold off today..." He looked back at the nomad, placing the coin back where it belonged as he made his decision. "Feh, I've been lucky so far... may as well push it a bit." He decided
Joshua's long stride carried him quickly to where the nomad and her friends were, pausing only to grab a quick drink, he came up behind Sue and nodded at Rei, he had met the Druid briefly before.... but no names had been exchanged at the time.
Waiting for a break in the conversation before he spoke, Joshua lightly tapped Sue on the shoulder, "Hey, You were in the desert right? You're not bad with a bow really I wanted to get your name when I had the chance but I couldn't find you after the fighting.... I've got a bit if a question for you."

Around the time he had gone to talk to Sue, a familiar voice popped up around him, as Ziaram smirked. "So you are still around here Joshua? How is life here treating you? Haven't tried to get yourself killed yet?" Laughing at that, he then went over and clapped the swordmaster on the back. "Great to see ya again. Sure seems like you have gotten stronger. One of these days I will have to try my blade against yours, though at the moment I need to train more if I want to have a chance."

A party to celebrate the end of the year? AND it was hosted by the Host Club, a group of awesome people minus one shotabookworm (he certainly hadn't forgotten about Rei's refusal to heal him a while back when he really needed it)? Damn straight he was going to be there!
And sure enough, the young lord had arrived at the location of the party. He didn't waste a minute looking around to see who was around. Both his Uncles, Sue, Victoria, Lyre, Joshua, Rath, Rhys, Shotabookworm, Joshua, Ziaram, and Amelia. Maybe a few others he missed, but whatever.
First things first, he snuck over to where his Uncles were before giving both a big hug.
"Hey! What are you two up to?" he asked, a huge grin on his face.

The new year meant new opportunities. To Lethe’s dismay it meant fulfilling a promise she made the previous year. She gave Lyre her word that she’d become more involved with the FEF guild. The older laguz had to attend the Host Club’s New Year’s Eve party. Either she was coming of her own (semi-)free will or her twin was going to drag there. With her pride on the line, the Gallian captain chose the earlier of the two options.
Lethe gazed down at the ensemble left behind for her. There were many differences between the feline sisters. Personal tastes in fashion being one of the major ones. Lethe preferred comfortable clothes with practicality. Nothing too showy or too gaudy unlike Lyre. With time running out, she had no choice but to wear the outfit lying out.
Finally arriving at the sponsored event, the cat stood awkwardly near the entrance. The strange heeled beorc footwear didn’t help her posture. Lethe spotted the other laguz dancing by herself on the other side of the ballroom. She walked a few steps before getting irritated. These shoes were so annoying to wear. How could beorc women stand them? Fed up with it, she slid her feet out of the purple straps and picked up the high heels. She then walked over to Lyre barefooted. "Sorry it took so long. At least I'm here."

"Oh good, you came!" Lyre grabbed onto her sister's hand, dragging her with her towards Rhys, Rath, and Amelia, intent on interrupting their conversation.
"This is my twin sister, Lethe! She's really... er... work-oriented, so I don't think she has gotten to be introduced to anyone, so..." She nudged Lethe in front of her, nodding her head towards Rath.
"This is Rath. He's like... the head of the Crew, and so he's usually really busy with stuff, but I think you'd both get along... Rath, Lethe is one of the top military commanders of Gallia." She hurried along through some other introductions-
"And this is my best beorc friend, Amelia, and her husband, Rhys. They're the ones throwing the party..."
Lyre's tail flicked back and forth happily of its own accord, but it couldn't be seen due to her long dress.

Isadora let out a slight shiver as she walked down the corridor of the Eyris castle. She had troubled finding any long sleeves to match with the dress she wore; thus, making her a bit late to the party. It had been a while since she enjoyed the festivities of the party. The last party didn't go so well due to the kidnapping of Amara and the food fight that happened in the kitchen. But nonetheless, this party would help ease the paladin from her work.
The past two months, the paladin had been using the spy network to receive information from Mordache after what happened in Sentria. Isadora had informed Rath about the Mordachean army in Sentria when they were off to rescue Amara and Blossom. But as to what the fierce country's motive of being in Sentria and battling against them? It was unknown to the paladin. The crew had suggested that it may be involved with Razevi, an ancient sorceress who was now freed from her prison. Unfortunately, they had no idea what did Mordache want with Razevi since itself was a powerful country.
Whatever motive the Mordache wanted with Razevi, it was up to the crew to figure out what that motive may be. Who knew if this motive would endanger the country of Learania?
The paladin entered the party and scanned the area around her. Like all parties that she had attended, everyone was festive and engaged in their little fun and conversation. Isadora let out a small smile as she strolled in. It had been a while since she had fun and she hoped that the fun would not be spoiled. After all, they never knew how long would the fun last.
