"Being neither dead or alive is better than being in Hell." He assured the mare. "The things that happen there..." He shook his head, not because of the subject but because he just couldn't remember what he had planned to say. Not like it mattered in the end. Word would be spoken and then at one time or another forgotten by either those who said it or those who heard them. He stamped his hoof when she mentioned that he hadn't killed her yet. Ah that was a good point and surely that was angering War, but he didn't care at the moment.
"You're wrong one that." He began again. "There are those that deserve to go to Hell. For what they have done. I deserved to go there, as did my now herd members." Although he couldn't explain to her why he had deserved to go to Hell because he honestly didn't know the answer to that.
"Yes he hasn't killed you yet! Because he is stupid!" "I like her. We should let her live."
His head tipped a bit as he watched the mare. Why did she sigh? Did he want him to kill her? Perhaps, some horses wished for death, like his Regret. Others wished to live and would do what they could to avoid death. He didn't think this mare wanted to die, not form her story about saving foals and so on.

"I can imagine." She said softly. Yes, Hell was called such for a reason and to speek with someone who had gone through it... "I'm sorry but I must ask... Do you remember ever seeing any... foals... in hell?" Did one even remember their stay in such a horrid place? Did they see others while they were there? Or was each alone, forever? And how did he, and his herd, escape?
"No." She said, her voice firm, as if she were talking to a foal who thought it was a good idea to jump into a half frozen pond. She was not angry, but she sounded, and suddenly looked, in charge. "No one deserves that. No matter their crime. You could kill a whole herd, harm all foals you've ever met, destroyed a forest, and you still would not deserve that. Everyone should have a second chance. Everyone should be given peace. Nothing you could do would be a good reason for going to Hell."

He half shrugged. Even if he had seen foals in Hell he certainly wouldn't remember that would he? All his other memories were such a jumbled mess that he doubted that he would know of such an insignificant thing to him. "I...don't know...." He began. "My memories are mostly lost." Or at least as far as he could remember they were. He could only remember bits and pieces here and there, and it was never even to truly remember one specific thing. Well unless he asked for help form his rats, who carried his memories for him.
"She doesn't know much about things does she? Hell is a punishment for wrong doing, whether they believe they belong there or not." Peace stated softly. "Hell is a glorious place! Full of pain and misery and despair!" War rolled around on Thanos' head letting out what could be the equivalent of an evil cackle.
"I must disagree." He began to argue with her on the subject of no one deserving to go to Hell. "My herd was given a second chance when we returned here, and what for, to walk around as half decayed corpses. They all run away from that. You talk about balance in having good horses and bad horses. Should there not be balance in death as well? It only makes sense. Hell is a punishment, but only those who did wrong go there." She shook his head for a moment trying to reform his thoughts before speaking again. "Those who do good do not end up there...ever. You will not go there. But some of the foals you do and don't save will. It's all about balance. Right?"
He let out a sigh. Talking at long lengths like that were both refreshing and a burden. It represented those few times when his mind was free of the fog that loomed within, but it was absolutely exhausting as well. Afterwords his mind felt like it was being ripped apart.

"Oh, I see. I'm sorry." She said softly. She guessed those in hell didn't remember much. She certainly wouldn't want to! Pain...torture... that was what Hell was, right? How horrid. She blinked as Thanos spoke about weather or not anyone deserved Hell. Well yes, balance in death made sense... Oh but the idea that those who had made a mistake in life would never get a chance to be sorry and rest in death was so horrible. " It does make sense but... Its just so horrible... I mean even those who do bad things didn't always do it because they are horrible. They should get rest. Death should not be torture." She sighed. "But yes... it is all about balance..." She couldn't disagree.
Her head tilted at his sigh. She couldn't imagine what this stallion went through, day by day. Did he hurt? Was he in constant pain, even now that he was on earth once more, and out of Hell? "Are you ok?" She asked softly. She felt so much sadness for him, once again. So much...

Why did she keep saying she was sorry? It was confusing. He didn't really know what that meant but honestly didn't feel like asking about it either. He listened to her ramble on about whatever it was she was talking about, only half hearing the conversation. But in the end he caught on to the idea that he had one the argument about some deserving to go to Hell. In response to this he stood a bit taller, this was a triumphant moment for him. Yes he had won the battle. Well no it wasn't a battle but it was as close as he would get to a real battle today. One had to take their victories where they could.
"Ha we won! She cannot deny that others deserve to go to Hell now!" War chirped. It was odd for the rat to get so excited about something that didn't involve kiling. "Indeed, balance exists in both the living world and that of the dead."
"Am I okay?" He asked, though he was sure she had asked him that already. At least he thought she had. He was already beginning to forget the start of their conversation. "Yes, I'm okay." He said in a bit of a frustrated voice. Had she already asked him that. His shifted his weight around trying to think back to when he first ran into the mare. Then that damn crunching started again and he nearly screamed in frustration. "Blasted snow! It's so loud." He yelled while looking at his hooves.

Ok, don't piss off the scary stallion, Ashia reminded herself. Though, she wasn't sure what she did to piss him off. But she had none the less. At his obvious anger towards the snow she looked down at it. Why was he mad at the little fluffy icy drops of cold? Loud? She didn't think it was that loud. On a quiet morning, the snow fresh, there was a nice soft crunch as one walked across undisturbed powder. It was quiet nice, she though. Obviously, Thanos did not share this. And, ah... the snow had to irritate that wound in his side. She perked up. She could help! She could!
"Thanos, if you'll let me, I could lead you to someplace with less snow to bother you." She said softly. "I know just the place with plenty of cover, and almost no snow on the actual ground. You might have to watch out for snow falling from up above, but the branches crack before they fall, so you should be well alerted." She paused, looking up at him.

"Why lead me to someplace with less snow?" He questioned the mare in an irritated tone. "I will only have to deal with it again when I want to leave." Clearly she didn't think snow was as annoying as he did. And as for those falling branches, pfft like he cared, what can a little branch do to hurt him. Well there was that one the other day, but it had gotten caught in his exposed entrails while he ran through a thick bank of trees. He wouldn't make that mistake a second time.
"How about we lead you away to somewhere where we can kill you!" War chirped from the stallion back. "But then we would get all this lovely snow stained with her blood." Peace replied sarcastically. "Who cares!"
Shaking his head Thanos had to ignore the rats bickering to focus on the mare again. "I don't need your help. What I need is for this snow to be gone. It interrupts me damned thinking!" Now he was getting really mad, though he was yet to do anything towards the mare outside of yelling at her. What a weak idiot, he thought, he was supposed to be a fierce leader of a herd that would wipe horses like this off the face of the land, not a damn chatty cathy.

"Well... Yes, that is true, but wouldn't you rather have a few moments of quiet then this?" She asked. "Then you could think for as long as you like before you moved back into the snow to go back to your herd. There are lots of forests so you can wander a large area." He was stubborn, or he didn't understand what she was trying to say. Mabye both, she thought. And he was getting mad. That was obvious. She, rather nervously, hoped to get him to understand and either go off, or let her take him to a forest so that he might be less agitated. Her legs twitched. Her body was telling her to run before he got angry enough to do physical damage.
"Please, Sir. I'll take you to a nice, snow free forest and then I'll be on my way and leave you to your thoughts." She hoped that was a decent enough incentive. After all, she thought it was likely that she was just adding to his anger at the snow. So her gone, she hopped, would be helpful.

"If I would stop running into horses everywhere I went then I would have a few moments of quiet!" He yelled at her, his voice now dripping with rage. Thanos was about ready to strike down this mare where she stood. He took a step closer to her, staring down towards her small frame with his glowing red eyes. "I know where the damn forests are, I am not blind nor am I stupid." Stamping his foot he snorted at her. "And if I wanted to go to them I could do it by myself."
"Yes, yes feed your rage! Let it boil within you and then strike her down!" War chirped. She couldn't believe it, for once Thanos looked like he was actually about to do something. "This isn't going to go well at all." Peace said with a bit of a worried tone in his voice.
"No, I suggest that you be on your way now." He told her. He hoped that she would run right now. So that he could chase after her. He wanted to just kill something...and do so violently. And since she was the only thing around he really didn't have an option to do it to anything else.

"The forests don't have many horses, Thanos, and I never said you were stupid or blind..." She said in a small voice, backing up as he advanced. Oh she'd done it now, hadn't she. Gotten into a pickly. "I think I should be on my way now. I am sorry to have bothered you, it was a pleasure to meet you." She nodded, continuing to back up. Ashia was not stupid enough to turn her back on the enraged stallion. She would slowly, slowly, back away until he was out of sight, or he turned to leave himself. She continued to back up slowly.

"Don't let her get away, bring death upon her!" War chirped at the stallion. "Let her leave Thanos, she has done nothing to deserve a death today."
Thanos watched the mare back up slowly. Yes, he could easily take her down right now, she was clearly afraid of him, or at least finally caught on as to how mad he was at her. Either way he stared coldly as Ashia ever so slowly crept away, though she was smart to not turn her back on him. He shook his mane out in frustration as she got further away. Finally he turned and began to walk away.
"What are you doing? Go kill her! She is an easy target."
"I need to find Regret." Thanos plainly told War. He wondered if she would still be in the herds territory where he had left her. Regret seemed sometimes to not want to stay there even though she had agreed to join the herd. If she left, well then he would track her down and bring her back. If she were still there, then that would save him the hassle of chasing after her.
