"You've come to a decision so quickly?" Kaimel asked lightly, unable to hide his curiosity. He wouldn't doubt Moto's decision, but he couldn't help but wonder if maybe she'd made a decision a bit too readily.

Moto nodded. "I have. And it is one I should have seen before. But I'd been too narrow-sighted. Of course...he'll need further training, and learn everything there is to know about what the Mwezi does." She would let him guess just a little...Though she doubted he would realize who she'd thought of.

"Well, you've given away that it's male... And that narrows the field down quite a bit," Kaimel said softly, humming and wracking his brain for just who she could have decided on. It could have been his father, but then again, Ka wasn't exactly the most social creature, and that wouldn't be good for the rank he was put in... "Mister Nima, perhaps?"

Moto chuckled. "Nope." She bumped his shoulder. "It's you. If you will accept the training and the position. You light up the lives of others, and you are one of the kindest members of the pride I know who still knows when to bare claws and teeth."

For a moment, Kaimel was shocked. Him? As the Mwezi? But the more he thought about it, the more he thought that Moto's choice was a good one. He was friends with Enzi, which would making working with him easier. And like she'd said, he knew when it was best to show mercy, and when it was time to take up claw and fang against the enemy. After a long moment, the lion nodded. "I'd be honored, Miss Moto. And I promise I'll do my best to serve both you, and the pride."

Moto smiled. "That is wonderful." She drew herself up into her 'official' pose. "Kaimel, is it your wish to take up the mantle of the Mwezi when it comes time for me to step down?"

"It is my wish, now that I know you would trust me with such an honor," Kaimel said, standing in an equally impressive posture. At times, it marvelled him that he was so close to Moto in size, but he supposed it could be attributed to his demon blood.

She felt at peace now...at ease. The pride's future was secure. "Then with my blessing, you shall begin to learn how to shine, Chache'mwezi. And one day, take my place as the new Mwezi of this pride." She leaned over and licked his cheek. "Welcome."
