"Probably a smart one -- I have been known to woo many a lady in the dark of night. Or... I like to pretend I have, anyway. Makes me sound kind of badass, don't you think?"
Shooting Imo what she hoped was a charming grin, Gemini Beta rested her hand gently on the arm around her own as they started down the street, neither looking back towards the monster which had been the cause of their meeting. In a way, the female half of Gemini was almost happy she had almost been killed by the toothfairy youma -- if she hadn't, Imo would have never come back. And while she herself was protected quite a bit by the glamor of senshihood, the redhead herself was not, and Gemini could see with perfect clarity how pretty the girl on her arm was.
"So... you said you know of zombie pines, huh?" She started, just to keep up the conversation, although her curiosity was getting the better of her. Glancing in the other girl's direction, she gave her another smile, prompting her subtly. "I heard it was pretty terrible... some kind of... drug trafficking, black market organ ring or something..."

"Zombie Pines?!" Her eyebrows rose. That was a new name for Barren Hell. But Sue, who had told her that there had been a fire and 'other bad things' had never mentioned the living dead when telling Imogen there had been more to the place than she remembered. She certainly didn't remember that she herself had been a 'greenie' and had locked and barricaded herself in a store room to keep herself from eating her fellow students. She'd actually tried eating parts of herself near the end rather than go out and hunt the alive students. Imo'd been stubborn, even as a zombie.
"Oh haha. I get it. We're back from the dead." She rolled her eyes playfully and chuckled, flashing the other girl one of her brightest smiles.
"I even have my own grave in town actually though I've been told I shouldn't go see it. I supposedly died a year ago in a carcrash. I don't think that Barren Hell was organ traffickers completely really but I don't remember half of it anyway. I just remember the other students I knew and going to classes and then it gets fuzzy. I'm just glad to be out really. Footloose and fancy free and touring the town at night with a senshi." Her arm was starting to just throb painfully and clot, and despite feeling insane, Imo was quite happy with her current situation. So long as Gemini didn't suddenly turn axecrazy.

Oh s**t. She had forgotten that no one else remembered that Barren Pines had turned into a zombie apocalypse. Well, no one except the zodiacs. Which Imo was not one. Ooops.
In the end, however, it seemed that Imo fixed the situation herself, saving Gemini the trouble of coming up with some story as to why she had called it Zombie pines. Internally, she breathed a sigh of relief. That was all she needed -- revealing all the Zodiac secrets when she hadn't been a zodiac for even a month yet. Yeah, Hero would have loved that. Letting out an amused chuckle, she raised her eyebrows at the other girl when she said she had her own grave, laughing a little. "Oh wow... am I flirting with a ghost?" she teased, nudging Imo with her elbow, as if it might go right through her.
"Oh yeah, you have a senshi guide. We're part of an elite club, you know. And now you're part of it, as my guest. Aren't you lucky? With every membership, you get a badass stick that you can smash monsters heads in with."

"Aw, and I left my first stick back there, end up in monster-brains! I lost my souvenir..." Imogen pouted, as if someone'd just punted a kitten and told her there was no Santa Claus. It didn't last long. She was soon smiling again.
It was really bizarre that her fight or flight reaction hadn't kicked in again. And that she wasn't demanding to know if the Senshi really were terrorists or if what their elite club really did or querying where the hell the tooth-fairy had come from or asking any of the hundred other questions she could in theory be asking right now. So help her she was starting to have fun and feel safe, now there was just that dull ache in her arm and a nervousness in her stomach as she walked alongside Gemini. Maybe she was just coping well because she'd had to deal with so much lately anyway, what with the amnesia and healing and everything. That was all kinds of messed up in a way. But she did feel pretty okay.
"Hm, flirting? Is that what we're doing? Never would have guessed." Okay enough to say that and tilt her head almost challengingly at the senshi anyway.

"Ok, well, that was what I was doing..." Gemini replied, scratching the back of her head sheepishly, "If you weren't... I should totally apologize and maybe buy you an ice cream. Ok, I'm sorry, I suck at this not-flirting thing."
It was dark and late and they were alone where any sort of monster could try to snap at them from a random alleyway, but even so, Gemini was actually having a good time. Nevermind she had almost had her face eaten off. Ever since Barren Pines, things had been going at such a fast pace. She had had to get a job, sign up for a new school, get an apartment. Being a senshi was almost like her relaxing time, even though it meant danger and the possibility of death. Gemini had no idea that Imo was feeling just as ok with it all, though. As a result, she would look over at her every once in a while, just to make sure she was doing ok, and that she wasn't bleeding to death or about to cry.
"But you'll at least let me buy you an ice cream for saving my life, right?"
She was relentless. And who could blame her, Imo was adorable.

"Think the people at The Scoop would freak out if we went for an icecream. You're not as scary as the monster was, Gemini, but most people are kind of frightened of senshi. I was but...being saved kind of throws doubt on the whole nefarious thing."
Imogen took the opportunity to fiddle with her arm, just so she didn't have to look up and reveal her pale cheeks had turned pink. She was beyond embarrassed. Epic fail there. Really. When she spoke again, her voice was sheepish and apologetic.
"I must be more rusty at this than I thought. That line usually gets people to flirt more."

"How'm I suppose to take you on a date if everyone's afraid of me?"
Ok, that was kind of cruel. Gemini had taken one look at that adorable blush and had just had to see more, even though she was sure it was probably not appreciated by the poor redhead who was trying desperately to hide that she was embarrassed. If Gemini Beta had had a type (which she didn't, for the most part -- she was too open to have a 'type') she would have definitely classified Imo as 'yes please' or 'perfectly adorable.'
Turning a corner, the redheaded senshi made a thoughtful face at what the other girl said, thinking about it for a second before talking again.
"Well, if you really want me to stop flirting, I guess I can't say no to a pretty lady such as yourself. Oh wait, that doesn't count. After this, I promise."

"I would suggest you should turn up to the date sans tartan, but I think that violates the superhero code to let someone work out your secret identity. Your elite club might have words to say about that." The blush deepened and she was talking too much, wasn't she?
Imogen wished she could see this girl so much. It wasn't fair. She was messed up, her hair had fallen out from her clip (which she'd left behind with the monster corpse. bother.) and she had a cut scabbing on her arm. Meanwhile Gemini just looked mysteriously different everytime she looked except for her clothes... and yet also just a touch familiar. Would be much less daunting trying to flirt if she could just see her.
"Well, I haven't promised anything." She chirped up, happily, hoping the senshi'd get the intended meaning of that - just as her foot caught on an uneven paving slab. Or maybe it wasn't that uneven. Perhaps she'd just under-stepped, being too focused one the senshi girl to walk right.
Goddamnitall.

Gemini was just about to proclaim how unfair it was if Imo could flirt and she couldn't when suddenly she was watching Imogen trip in slow motion, the redhead's expression of surprise all too adorable, despite the circumstances. With a speed she didn't know she had, Gemini Beta reached out quickly, catching the girl by the elbows, catching her before she hit the pavement.
This girl was so stereotypically the damsel in distress it was killing her how cute it was. Then again, it HAD been Imo who had saved her. Staring down at the redhead, she grinned, chuckling good-naturedly, relieved she hadn't been hurt. "Heh... better watch where you're going, or you might fall, you little klutz," she teased gently, making it apparent by the tone of her voice that the term klutz was being used as a term of endearment. The grin, however, vanished almost comically as she realized she actually had her hand right over the cut on Imo's arm. Jerking her hands back, Gemini Beta gave the girl a horrified, apologetic look, her expression a little hilarious.
"Oh jeez, I'm sorry! Way to go, Gemini B, why don't you just throw her from the frying pan into the fire?"

She whimpered and frankly, she didn't try to stop it when she cried. She clutched her arm again, checking it. The somewhat messy scab that split again and using her other hand to hold it together hurt like a b***h. But since that'd help it close some, that's what she set about doing. When Imogen reacted to something, she reacted and then some. This wasn't cute embarrassment that she could shake off so long as Gemini smiled at her again. This was going down like a lead balloon. The fact she'd been attacked by a monster, been injured and had to kill it struck her anew as she took also in the fact that she was an insane idiot flirting with a senshi (and she wasn't even flirting well) and she'd gone and got herself hurt even more too. When the oozing - it wasn't bleeding to much - stopped she finally looked up at Gemini again.
"Thank you. I think that I should get home now, quick as, and get this seen to. Sorry. I'm always tripping over my feet around...well. See you around Gemini B?"

Oh god. She was crying. And it was her fault.
Gemini, you idiot.
For a while, the tartan-fuku'd girl just stood there, staying back a little, just in case she did any more damage. From what she could see, the scab had split, and was not entirely bleeding, but oozing something gross that was probably just as painful. The senshi girl winced a little, more a her own stupidity than anything. She should have minded the cut, how hard was it to mind the cut? The cut Imo had gotten rescuing HER a**!
"Don't be sorry hun, it was completely my fault. Stay safe."
Offering the girl a weak smile, Gemini took a few steps back, giving a short wave before turning around to disappear into the dark. The perks of being a senshi. Go figure.

Imogen bit her lip and watched the girl in the tartan - she still couldn't decide if she was brunette or a redhead - fade into the shadows and raised her unhurt arm briefly in goodbye. Then she started towards home as quick as she could. No more strolling arm in arm with Gemini. This was watching where she was going, jumping at shadows and eventually having to take a phonecall from her mother.
Safe to say, she was going to have to go to hospital and would not be leaving her house for at least a day. Luckily she spun it that she'd just tripped on a paving slab - which she had - and cut her on some broken glass, which was a complete lie. Atleast if her mother thought she'd got hurt due to her own clumsiness she'd be less inclined to keep her inside at home for as long. Imo didn't know if that story'd hold up when they got to the hospital but she sure wasn't telling her mother she'd helped kill a monster and then instead of running and spent sometime flirting with a senshi...
...she hadn't even told her her name.
Urgh. As she reached home to see her mother waiting frantically with the car running, she had to wonder why she hadn't just let the tooth-fairy eat her. It would have been much less depressing.
