Dion Necurat I'll just go down the list: College Band- Grainger's Lincolnshire Posy: possibly the toughest piece I've played to date is one we are playing for tour. Lincolnshire Posy (3)Symphonic Band- Hymn to the Infinite Skies: a piece that will be performed during our annual Composer's Concert. Hymn to the Infinite SkiesNote: Might be hard to hear. We're playing Lincolnshire Posy as well, but we haven't rehearsed it much and I'm not sure we're playing it for competitions.

Vincent Persichetti's Psalm for Band. (Our band played better than this imao. smile ) It is SO random and awesome. We've done it beautifully and moving on to something else.. Not quite chosen yet.

Well, we just finished up all of our Christmas concert stuff, and are now getting ready to do Spring concert music. Which, right now, the only set songs are "Shenandoah" by Frank Ticheli and "They Came Sailing" by Andre Jutras
For the upcoming marching season, our music director is commisioning someone to write a show about the Berlin Wall. :]

You have to have reallllly good woodwinds for that. Good luck!

I'm actually pleased with my BD's music selection this year.
'Prelude and Rondo' and 'Solas Ane' are two of our competition pieces, and they're awesome. In 'Prelude and Rondo' the 2nd clarinet part has 155 f's (as in forte and fortissimo) which is pretty much unheard of. I'm very excited about these pieces. whee Can you tell?
Also, I'm very happy that I'll never have to destroy my chops playing 'Pomp and Circumstance' ever again. 3nodding
