Fish Bones nods, then feels silly, as she probably still can't see. "Alright, I'll be right back." he replies, walking off to gather some stuff. First, he grabs a turtle shell from it's spot by his nest. Then heads off to gather some berries and fruit. Setting the shell down, he wanders around the bushes, gathering berry, fruit and leaves. After filling the shell part way, Fish Bones starts poking about for eggs. Finding a nest, he plucks out an egg, then returns to set it in the shell. Again he returns, taking another egg, and placing it in the shell.
Setting his teeth around the shell rim, Fish Bones picks it up and heads back to Death Walking. Setting the shell down in front of her, he sits. "There you are. Not sure what you liked, so I brought a little of each."

The green doe waits patiently for Fish Bones to return with the promised food. She had not eaten breakfast, now that she thought about it... perhaps that was affecting her vision... This thought was interrupted by the footfalls of the buck, returning from his quick forage.
"Ah, thank you! Will you be having any?" She extended her nose cautiously towards the shell of food, sniffing at it, figuring out what was in there. She could smell berries and fruit, so she softly brushed her lips up against the berries first, picking a few up and munching on them. As she retracted her mouth, her chin brushed up against something smooth and hard. She tilted her head, curious as to what that was, but was cut off once more with something more imminent. Her vision was slowly returning! She could see splotches of the things before her now, blurry and almost unrecognizable, but it was coming back! She pushed her nose back into the shell, picking up more and more berries, mowing through them first.

Fish Bones almost shakes his head, then stops, voicing his answer instead. "No, I've already eaten." He watches Death Walking eat, glad he'd brought lots of berries. Seeing that that's pretty much all she's focused on, he wonders if maybe her vision is returning. However, not wanting to hear the disappointment in her voice when she says no, he stays silent, simply watching her.

She nodded gently, "Mmmk." As she moves on to fruit next. She bites into something soft and mushy, and lets out a soft sigh of 'mmmm' at it's sweet taste. Her eyes flutter shut, but a moment later when she opens them again, she realizes that she can see. Everything is still a little blurry for the doe, colors leaking into one another, but she can make out general shapes.
Onto the next fruit. She eats that one a little quicker, as she lets her gaze wander over her surroundings. As was rather obvious, her left eye does not shine, in fact it is very dull and dark, for the simple reason that it is not there. Her socket however still thinks there is something there, and so her eyelids still open and close as normal, but in truth, this doe only has her right eye, and it does not shine very bright at all.
((I had forgotten to mention this earlier >.<))
But as she finishes up the second fruit, Death Walking's sight comes back in full. No more blurs, she looks over at Fish Bones, the gracious buck that had helped her and she softly exclaimed, "Oh!"

Watching her, Fish Bones finally realizes that one of her eyes is actually missing. Not just dark as he'd first thought. Her other eye, though, is intact and from the looks of it focusing on him. Glad that the meal helped her, he sits down, questions piling in his head. Like why she's sick, or what happened to her eye. Not wanting to be rude, he keeps silent on them. "Do you always climb mangroves?" he asks instead, curiosity about her fall now taking precedence.

Caught up more or less staring at the buck, Death Walking takes a moment to realize he had asked her a question. She stutters, "Do I... mangroves... Oh!" She chuckles and blushes a little, "No, not often I would say. Every so often though... I tend to follow the birds and sometimes I lose track of where my feet go... though today it was more loss of sight than of my feet..." With that, she cast her gaze down at the shell at her feet. The eggs were untouched, but she was grateful for the fruit, so added a quick, "Thanks again for the fruit.... it... it helped. My sight, that is" A weak smile, but her gaze avoided meeting his eyes again. Sometimes she just wished she wasn't like this, that she wasn't an inconvenience to others, that she was normal.

Fish Bones comes nearer to Death Walking, sliding his muzzle under her chin so to look her in the eye. Making sure to have her attention, he pulls back a bit. "Your welcome. Helping others is never a bother. It's how things should be, because no matter how strong one is we all need help." finished speaking, Fish Bones sits on his haunches, hoping his words will lift her mood.

Her eyes open wide hen he comes closer and lifts her muzzle with his own. His skin was warm and his gaze was even warmer. His words lifted her mood, such as was surely intended, and even her heart warmed a little at the expression of caring. This was a feeling she did not come across often. Concern, fear, confusion, even but care was a nice feeling. She liked this green buck, and as she looked at him, her cheeks turned slightly pink.
Rather awkwardly, the doe stood up and shuffled her feet as she tried to excuse herself from Fish Bones' gracious company. "I thank you again, Fish Bones, for both the hospitality and the kind words. They have encouraged me to return to something that should have been taken care of long ago." She bowed her head and began orienting herself, as to where in the swamp she was, and the direction she needed to go next.

Fish Bones takes a few paces back, giving Death Walking room to move. "I'm glad to of been a help. Good luck with what it is you need to do." A touch of sadness is in his voice, lightened only by the fact that they might meet again. "If ever you need someone to talk to, or a place to stay, you'll always be welcome here." Watching the ready herself, Fish Bones wonders at what it is she needs to do. Not wanting to keep her from it, the buck simply files it away as a question to ask when they next meet.

She furrows her brow a few times at this direction or that, but in the end, she quickly finds the path that she deems 'the right one'. So with one last glance over her shoulder, she bids the kind buck goodbye. "Thank you, Fish Bones, for everything. I hope we meet again." she says sincerely, and with that and one last look-over both the buck and his beautiful pond, she turns her gaze back to the path that she had chosen.
With her mind straightened out, she set off, a goal in mind. It would be many days' walk, and possibly many more days of searching, but she was determined to complete her task: she was determined to find herself a family.
