Jenova, is she had never landed on the planet non of it would've happend!, though its a good thing she did, or we wouldnt have FF7 *chuckles*

Everything that Sephiroth did was a result of Shin-Ra's actions. They cloned him and they tried rule the world. He only reacted the way he did because he found out he was a pawn. Also had they not kept notes that he was a clone and kept the creature from which he was cloned he may have not found out and reacted the way he did.

i think the real enemy here is man kind. its like this humans captured and riped appart jenova. humans drain the planet to make materia, humans. and humans created sephiroth. humans suck so i gotta go with shin-ra

[x]I think taht it was Jenova, simply becase she created all of the horror that happened within the story. Shin-Ra used her to create monsters that killed so many innocent people. Their creation program also marred people like Cloud who was injected with Jenova cells (correct me if I'm wrong), who tought that he was evil and then was temporarily controlled by Jenova to do thing against his wishes, which made him hate himself.[x]

Now that I think about it, even though Sephiroth is a friggin insane son of a gun and is the final boss of the game, Jenova is really the most evil thing in the game. Cause if Janova was never found, all that stuff with Hojos experiments, and Sephiroth, and some of Shinra's history would not have occured.
But then again ...... FF7 would not be the great game it is! So I'm fine with that! ^^

What is this that everyone has with Dyne.... Dyne isn't evil, he just went insane because his family was slaughtered by Shin-Ra. If your entire family except for your daughter was killed and you were shot off of a cliff, you'd be rather addled too.

he/she/it was the instigator, as well as the corruptor. Without "its" existance, the majority of the story would not have developed... although Shinra probably would still be raping the bushes and riding off with all the women of many small villages... erm, ok, badly butchered Three Amigos quote there *facepalm*

Jenova definatly if she just kept away from planets nothing would have happened but thank god she did right because i love FFVII it's my favorite game of all games.
