The two FFXI edits look great together. You're doing awesome work with their hair. Somehow your edits are always so surreal and fantasy-like, it makes your style so mysterious. 3nodding

Yes, I will post the final.. (How could I post unfinished stuff and not at least show the final? That would be mean!)
I have the base for the skirt and part of the bodice done at this point. I have never attempted something so complex, so GAEG is my guinea pig!

I think it's finished.



I don't know about that background. It annoys me to no end, but it's better than a blank background. The more I look at it the more I find faults, so I think I'll leave it alone for a little bit.

I've been colouring for a while and I have to say working on edits evolved my style closer to this one... I used to colour really thick and oily... now it's sort of in between.

Wow! Usually I'm the one asking questions, not answering them!
In answer:
I use Photoshop 5.0 for most of my colour works. I have used others, but Photoshop's my favorite right now (if only the CS didn't cost 1k!!! I'm planning on getting the CS version as soon as I hit the lottery!).
I worked on it over a course of 2 1/2 days for a total of....maybe six hours (probably less)? Most of it was spent fiddling with details.
I drew it on the computer... it started from a botched Oekaki which I then imported into Photoshop and re-drew in there. Usually, my work on starting from the computer doesn't look as good as my hand-drawn stuff, but I think this one is my best overall. eek (Maybe I should post the oekaki to show the utter crap that brought this to fruition?)
