When I first heard of the movie title I got so excited because I though it was the talked about sequel. But then when I was the trailer I was so pissed! I mean how dare they do that!! Repo is the best movie ever they have no right to steal it! We really have to do something to stop this bullshit from coming into theaters. Maybe write a petition or something you know.

Ridley Wolf I say we all march to Universal and rip their still-beating hearts from their chests. Seconded! From what I can tell, it seems like Repo! but minus the music, and with a bigger budget. My sister keeps saying it's just "another take on Repo!" and I can see that... Y'know, if they would just give some bloody credit to R!TGO then I wouldn't care as much. Even something as small as "Hey, you like this movie? check out Repo! The Genetic Opera" or "Influenced by Repo! The Genetic Opera" something.... ~~~ At this point in time, I'm not sure whether to just pirate it and watch it like that, or get dressed up as a Repo Man and go see the movie with my sister, who would be dressed as Amber Sweet..(By sneaking in after paying for another movie, of course)

A while ago I saw a Terrance and Alexa Q & A and they talked about it. They said that some of the cast from Repo Men came and watched them during their filming.
They were kind of pissed because the production company had told Terrance that his idea of Organ Repossession was too morbid...and then they went and turned it into an action romantic comedy....
I'll have to go and find that video to share.

OUTRAGEOUS
This makes me so very upset... I've just contacted all of my Repo!Fan friends about this, and I'm very confident we will all take action to show up at theatres in costume with fliers and maybe the soundtrack playing on a portable sound system.
Though I'm angry about them ripping off Repo, I agree with some of the earlier posts about not forcing Repo onto viewers of Repo Men. We should just show up, suggest Repo!, and hope for the best...
Besides. This looks like it might be a flop.

Because Universal is being a d**k and they are even going after the creator of the 80's film Repo Man because he is making a sequel to it. They will claim our people stole from them, and it will turn out ugly.

They are threatening him with lawsuit if he continues with it, last I heard. He spoke out about it somewhere (I cannot recall the site it was on), and even his followers are not too thrilled about it. We really cannot do much about it at this point in time, but watch everything unfold.

I hope nothing major happens either. If anything should occur, I suspect it will happen around the time of the release just because it would be so convenient for Universal.

So... I just had a completely original idea for a movie. It's about a nerdy teenager who gets bitten by a genetically altered spider and gets superpowers. I'm thinking of calling it "Spider-Dude."
I'll bet I could get Universal to make it.
