Out? Out as in outside? Wait, weren't they technically already out? Since they were out in the open, ie outside of a buildi- no, they were outside of a stand in a building, so they were techncially outside of a building that was inside and so --
Oh what the Duck Hunt Dog. "Sounds good to me!" He waved his hand to indicate the mall, adding, "Though... I suggest you pick the place, since you know where I fiddle my afternoons away at, haha!"

Pulling her head up from her hand, she squinted at the boy for a moment, wondering if he actually understood what she'd asked. Sometimes it was like talking to a fish. They'll look at you, and appear to understand, but you know, they just really don't.
Not that she talked to fish.
"Alright, uh..." her hands were now behind her head, wrenching her hair around into somewhat of a pony-tail while she thought of where to go. To be honest, she really didn't know. Most of the time when she ate out she just came to Dippin' Donuts. It didn't seem appropriate somehow though.
"How 'bout the Shufflepuck, on Saturday? 2ish?"

Alex was indeed like a fish. Or at least one of those animated ones in a kid-friendly cartoon that sang about how wonderful living under the sea was complete with bright, bold colors. Truthfully, the most experience he ever had with females were simulated ones in video games -- a traditional, 'damsel in distress' and a 'kickass STFU I CAN DO IT BETTER THAN YOU' female stereotype rubbed off on him the most, and Natasha didn't fall into either category. It was all fine with him, really. He needed to gain more experience anyway!
"The Shufflepuck? Hm... that's... That's right across from that one store that... ah! Yes, I know where it is!" He exclaimed triumphantly, raising his fist in triumph. "2pm sounds good, barring any detention and the like. Meet you outside, inside...?"

Nat had a difficult time picturing Alex getting in trouble and going to detention. Then again, on second thought, maybe he'd get detention for playing his video games during class. That made complete sense in her head.
"Inside, I think. Yeah. If I get there ahead of you I'll just grab a table. Beats waiting around outside. Not a fan of the cold." she made a face.
"Anyways," she picked up the remaining donut, glancing down at her watch, "if ya need help getting that box back I can help, it's a lil awkward. Otherwise should likely get heading back soon." she offered.

Ever been into detention due to being locked up in your own locker? Yeah, Hillworth was pretty hardcore and uptight about that.
He nodded, rising when she did. "All right! I'll do the same -- that way, we won't have to wait for a table or anything to open up while we stand around or sit down in the waiting room, depending on how many other people get the same idea."
Alex grinned, looking from her to the box and back again, his grin twisting itself into a cocky half-smile. "Nah, I think I got it," then something kicked him in his mind, a little something called manners: "Thank you, though! Do you need help walking back home or to the bus or anything...?"

Yeah, she would never have guessed detention due to being stuck in a locker in a million years. If she had heard though, she'd have a thing or two to say about that. Alex could ramble, yes, but the girl was capable of a pretty good rant, here and there.
"Thanks, but I should be alright." she smiled, "Try not to get in trouble between now and Saturday, hmm? I'll see ya then." she hopped up out of her seat, picking up her satchel and throwing it over her shoulder.
"Glad you could make it out today though."

The boy nodded, grabbing the discarded wrapping paper and crumpling it into a large ball. This he threw into the garbage. Or... he attempted to, as it missed. He laughed before walking over and picking it up to throw it away the normal way, but hey -- it all counted for style points, right? Right?
"All right, I'll do my best!" He replied, picking up his box. "It was a blast, Nat -- thank you, again! You take care too, okay?" He waved, picking up his box before disappearing into the Christmas rush crowd. At least this time he had a huge bumper in the form of an awesome box!
