There is an underground tunnel, like the tunnel between england and france that spans underneath the english channel, that grandlocomon uses to travel between the mainland and the island.

Scene 3: Babamon gave 13 to each digimon, however to make sure that they deserve the last piece of candy, she split the candy into a third giving each digimon 13 and 1/3 of candy leaving 20 in her basket.

Scene 2: They don't have to look for firewood! The Shamanmon would simply ignite their clubs, plus they are already on the island! Making a trip to File City only to return with inventory they already have would be redundant!
