Depends on the tone.
I myself don't swear and I am trying to stop using all crude language.
I can't get over crap and douchbag though, they are too natural :L

It depends on how you say it and who you're saying it to. Like, if you're just joking around with a friend, then it's probably not offensive. But if you say it in an insulting manner then I imagine that friend getting offended.
Now if you cussed at a teacher, employer, or someone of authority, no matter the context, then they're most likely going to find it offensive. Cussing is often found to be distasteful, rude, and makes a person look unitelligent. Which I think is why they would take offense of it.

I don't like to be cursed at so I avoid cursing at others. Even if you aren't trying to offend them, some words are used as put downs even when not intended to do so.]

People who swear alot don't necessarily offend me, provided the swearing isn't directed at me, but it's not classy and I don't think there is a 'tasteful' way to do it. I try to avoid swearing because I think an intelligent person can find more appropriate words to express their feelings.

I swear all day every day. In my mind, mumbling, even out loud. I sat it as insults, playing around, etc. My fave word that I say everyday all day would have to be um, let me think.

Not really... unless that swear word is directed to a person, then I'd say no.
I don't swear often, though. It just... feels weird for me.

Hester Peche Well does the "F word" even really mean anything? And if you delve into the root and actually meaning of "swear words", they aren't all that insulting. They are just words like anyother... I agree. My little brother believes every curse word is the "A word."

I try not to swear at all. It's pretty unnecessary to me. When I'm really mad, it gets hard, though.
