Kei ventured deeper into the streets of Rukongai as he looked for the herbs he remembered earlier. Oh, the stalls littered here and there, bustling with people. He glided along the streets with an unusual quietness in hos feet that almost made him invisible. His eyes turned here and there, looking for what he wanted. Of course the whole place was full of herbs but he needed to find specific ones.
And then he felt something. He turned to his back and looked far away into the streets he passed earlier. "Well, if it isn't Shinta-fukutaichou..." He whispered to himself and then started walking again.

 ❄ ❄ Amaya Touu ❄ ❄
During the painful times,
let's bring out the love and go.
As she looked around, she didn't see anyone familiar. Amaya hopped out of her tree, landing on her feet, then falling on her face when she took her first step forward.
"This is the area, isn't it..?" she said to herself. "Maybe he forgot!" Amaya rushed to the town, running quickly without flashstepping. She arrived, and looked around. "Hmmm...which one of these was his??"
Amaya was looking for an old friend, the boy that had made her Wakizashi. Haru was his name. She began to skip through the town, and began to sing yet again. This place brought back so many memories; it was hard for her to be sad here.
She looked to each stall as she passed, smiling at the familiar faces. They didn't seem to recognize her, though. "Huh? Oh! Silly me, I should probably put my old clothes back on!" She said, pausing her song. She ran to one of the stalls and asked if she could enter the home for a moment, telling the old man that she needed to change her clothes. The old man smiled and agreed, and she went inside. She changed into her old clothes, and tucked her Shinigami garb into her pack. She exited the house just as someone else was trying to enter, and she ran smack into him.
"Oh! Excuse me, I didn't see--" she began, but was cut off by a huge bear hug from the person. She cautiously put her arms around the boy, patting his back. "Uhh, hi?"
"It's me! Haru!" Amaya gasped at the words and hugged him tightly. "HARU!!! I've missed you! You weren't at the tree..." she said, looking at the ground. She blushed as he told her that was supposed to be tomorrow. She then grabbed his wrist and they went running into the town arm in arm, Amaya singing her happy song again as they looked at the stalls together.

Yokozuki cringed at Kyuuai and gave a wave to Takahashi. "You guys, so what are you doing out here anyways?" Yokozuki turned away himself and looked down the spot where he had recently been resting. "Why couldn't I just have...." He turned back "Takahashi, did you get that bit of paperwork I gave you completed?" Though in truth, he gave his new Lieutenant about three weeks of unfinished signing.

Yukimura had decided on a little stroll when he left his office and as such had left his haori behind seeing no need to actually wear it at the moment. If some low level Shinigami decided to address him and didn't know who he was then that was their problem after all they should know all the Captains. It would serve them right to address a Captain without honorifics and get disciplined though some of the others probably wouldn't mind. Yuki wasn't one of them. Tenpikage was at his waist and easily within reach should he have need for it as he walked his footsteps quite silent as he did. Moving through the Rukongai he found the place didn't quite suite his tastes since it was too noisy and headed for the forest. The forest would be quiet and he could do whatever he wanted whether it be training or not. Yuki could have easily got there using shunpo and it wouldn't take him long at all considering his speed but he did come for a walk. Ignoring all that went on around him he closed his eyes giving off his usual air of coldness to keep away people.
"Love? Love does not exist it is a feeble emotion created to make fools easier to control. It is simply a feeble mind trying to rationalize the physical attraction to another that also does not exist. In the end it is meaningless and unneeded and can only end in heartache."

Kyuuai gave a sigh at her captain, she really thought he was hopeless. "I'll be on my way then captain, I'm doing a general patrol at the moment, can't stop now on account of you" She gave him a bow then took off, an obvious displease filled the air around her, in fact it was so noticeable that some people avoided her path, she seemed to be ready to explode at any moment.

Takumi bowed at Kei's departure as a sign of respect. When he raised his head, Kyuuai had asked her a question. "Nothing, nothing," he replied, gesturing with his hand, avoiding any unnecessary conflict with the fourth seat of their division. "I was searching for you captain. As to why, I'm not quite sure myself..." His voice trailed off. "They're all signed and stacked neatly in a pile in your office, Taichou." The amount of paperwork given to him by the captain looked as if it could not be completed in such a sort amount of time, but Takumi was a fast worker when it came to office duties. While the others tend to stall when it comes to these things, he took care of the paperwork as soon as they were assigned to him and gave himself no breaks at all. If he was going to spend all his time staying in their division, he might as well use his time wisely. Yokozuki was lucky to have him as a lieutenant, task wise.

Yokozuki let a small smile go as Kyuuai left. "That girl, Takahashi, be careful with her, she's a spitfire, well, more of an evil-" He stopped what he was about to say and smiled while rubbing his head. "Anyways, today is boring, I've got nothing to torment or even beat, I was enjoying a well deserved nap, until my nose was broken by Kyuuai" Yokozuki twitched his nose a bit with his hand, trying to put it back in place "Ah, Takahashi, what are you about to do now? Is there anything special you plan on accomplishing?"

Yumi was playing around with her Zanpakutou that was attached to her belt. She was walking whilst doing so and looking to the sky in bliss. "Oi, I want something to do, I've been so bored lately, I can't do anything with Taichou" Yumi put her finger to her lip and stopped, looking down at the ground. "Hm, no, I can't, there just isn't anyone around to even bug, I want a fight, I want some food, I want a drink! I hate this!" Yumi had stopped and began whining, kicking her feet and hands around, though she was in a forest so no one could see her "Why isn't there someone to beat up even?" She stopped and sat down in the open grass, the sun was just peaking out of some trees over top of Yumi, sparkling in her face one moment then hid by the tree branches again. "I just can't wait until something big explodes" She scratched her bottom lip, and continued to stare at the sky "Taichou...I wonder what you are doing right now? How are you feeling? Are you said or happy?" Yumi was very fond of Adachi, though her feelings never were present around him. "Ah, oh well, I guess" She said suddenly laughing. She reached into her robes and pulled out a little object that looked like a pillow, she opened it and a small cup and bottle of sake was inside, she began drinking and enjoying the fresh air.

Haru joined in the song, and heads turned as two young-looking spirits walked through the market area. Amaya suddenly began running, dragging Haru with her. "Come on, Haru-kun, let's go to the forest!" As she dragged him, many of the stall owners chuckled. Now that they recognized her, they remembered that she was quite excitable.
As they were running, Amaya gracefully went around all of the other people in the streets, fluid like water going around its obstacles. Haru, however, bumped into one or two, being dragged by Amaya he couldn't help it.
They reached the forest, and Amaya climbed a tree the same way she had earlier. Haru followed, and the two swayed together, swinging their feet and singing songs. Together their voices sounded quite lovely, and Amaya closed her eyes to hear it better. She smiled as she sang, and opened her eyes, looking up at a slant to see the sky. It was quite a lovely day.
She took off her pack, and grabbed a sandwich she had made. She offered half of it to Haru, and they ate quietly in the tree, looking around at the people around, they seemed to be leaving the forest. The two looked at each other, and went deeper in. "It's lunch time, that's all!" Amaya grinned. "Nothing is wrong, they're just hungry!" Amaya looked to Haru, and they climbed a nearby tree, one that was deep in the forest, and sang louder, since no one seemed to be around.

Yukimura continued silently on his way into the forest eyes still closed as he moved gracefully through the crowd until he came to the forest. One tiny use of shunpo and he was deep in the forest amongst nature and the peacefulness of it all. Yuki took a few deep breathes before he settled on the ground and closed his eyes meditating for a few minutes. When he was finished he stood up and took out his Zanpakuto and held it out in front of him testing the balance like he usually did. When he was able to think of it as an extension of himself he closed his eyes and swung it around him being careful to miss all the trees. Then he heard the distant singing and opened his eyes immediately his empty eyes searching around for the source of all the noise. Sheathing his Zanpakuto he walked through the trees hearing the noise growing louder until the two culprits came into view. "Keep it down! I would like a little peace and quiet not all the racket you two are causing. Seriously this is not a place to have a date." Turning his eyes to the female she looked rather familiar not being able to really remember who she was he just turned around and walked back the opposite way. She was probably a Shinigami from another division he had seen though her current clothes suggested different.

Haru blushed a deep red. "D-date??" he jumped out of the tree quickly, looking up at the female spirit he was with. "It's not a date, Haru...that's just Takinata-Taichou, he's just being cold, as usual. Trying to upset us and get what he wants. Don't mind him." Amaya jumped out of the tree, standing in front of Haru. "If...you're uncomfortable, feel free to go home...I should probably go back to town and look for the parchment I've been wanting, so if you want to go home, I can look by myself..." She looked to the ground. Why did Yukimura have to ruin their fun? Ugh. "Either way, I should probably change my clothes back to my Shinigami wear...so I'll need to use your home again." She and Haru walked quietly and awkwardly back towards town. She changed her clothes in Haru's home, and left without a word. She went into the market area and began searching the stalls.
It wasn't long before Haru came rushing after her. "Amaya, don't walk around alone, I'm sorry I acted like that!" Amaya smiled as he ran towards her, and hugged him. "Oh, Haru, thank you old friend!" She let go of him and they walked next to each other, Amaya humming softly as Haru sang in a whisper. He helped her look through the stalls as they walked, and she smiled, happy to be seeing her friend after so long. She hadn't seen him since she had gone to the academy.
"Oh! I forgot to tell you! I'm a Lieutenant!" Amaya grinned, and Haru gasped, stopping in his tracks. "W-what? Really?! That's great, are you with Nami-Taichou?!" Amaya nodded, closing her eyes and grinning. He knew her so well.

Kyuuai stopped finally and entered some run down looking pub near the gates of Seireitei. "Hm, this place almost seems very familiar" A flash back suddenly hit her "Oh yea, it reminds me of the place in our squadron..." Anger swelled up inside her again at the mere thought of her captains squad, how badly the place was kept. "If I were captain, I'd have that place tip top shape all the time, everything would be up to date, and there wouldn't be half a squadron with buildings that should be condemned!" Kyuuai continued to rant and rave as she left, leaving a few local drunkards more puzzled looking then they already were.

"I think that warning is more suited for yourself, Captain," Takumi replied with a chuckle. 'After all, aren't you the one always in an argument with her?' He yawned and stretched his arms. He's been having sleepless nights as of late due to the piles of paperwork which he wanted to finish way before the deadline. It barely showed on his face that he is tired though so he wouldn't be surprised if the others couldn't tell. "Nothing much. I plan to go back to the division to patrol around to check if everyone is doing their duties before I go to sleep." He turned the other way, the path he took a while ago when he came from Seireitei. "I will take my leave. You captain, should probably start doing your responsibilities before Kyuuai spots you slacking off again," he joked. He took off and headed back to their division.

Amaya spotted the parchment. "I am with Nami-Taichou, I'm his second in command. It's amazing in there Haru, it really is. Yes, sir, 20 feet please." she said to Haru, ending with a statement to the vendor.
She handed the man the money, and said her farewells to Haru. His 'parents' weren't fond of shinigami, even if it was Amaya. That was probably a lot of the reason that Haru hadn't become a Shinigami with her. That and the fact that he was a lazy bum. In a good way. "I'll write," she told him, holding up her new parchment and grinning. She hugged him and ran off towards the more city-like portion of the Rukongai.
She entered the tallest building and took the stairs up to the roof, sitting on the edge with her feet hanging down. Being high up made her happy. She felt like when she was up high everything just made more sense. Everything that confused her or bothered her became clear and dissipated from her mind.

Shinta's voice came trailing behind Kei's. "Kei-taichou! Kei-Taichou!" Shinta was incredibly slow, and his shunpo ability was weak at best, so he had no other option other than to run as fast as he small legs could possibly take him. Once Kei came more into view he began to slow his pace, he was already wearing out his energy. As he finally neared him he had to crouch and catch his breath. "Kei-taichou, I'm sorry, I'm late on my reports." Shinta unraveled a large sum of papers and began reading. "Medical supplies have been fully restocked. All current healing stations have been sanitized and are ready for use, and finally, all current patients in ward #3 are out and back to full health." Shinta placed his papers away and then bowed, waiting to hear what Kei would say.
