He watched him like a hawk as he walked over to the bar. Looking at the floor, he seen that the man dropped something. It seemed like...sand. Yes. That was it. Though in the Earth Country there weren't much places one would find sand, unless of course this man didn't come from here and instead came from the Wind Country. Perhaps this was the contact that he was supposed to me up with. Standing up he walked over to the bar as he sat down and ordered a drink for himself. A long island iced tea on the rocks. He wrapped his hands around the glass as he lifted it to his lips. I wonder if this stuff is as good as the Taverns in Iwa?" He began drinking it as he decided it wasn't bad, but wasn't amazing either. The man had commented on Yami's hair before he sat down, which meant he was trying to start a conversation for one of two reason. Either he was just a very talkative guy who wanted someone to speak to, or he was wondering the same thing that Yami was.
Keeping a straight poker face as he remembered his conversation with Genzai. He told him that all Death Dealers had the tattoo of a scorpion about to attack, somewhere on their body. That was the visual way to know who was who, but Genzai told him one other thing. It was a saying. All he would have to do is start too say it and if the man could not complete it, then he was not a Death Dealer. Yami looked over to the man who was still drinking his sake. "Sir, tell me. Do you know why a man is afraid of the dark?" If he could answer 'Because he is afraid to find out what lies within the darkness.' then he was a Death Dealer. Yami waited for the man's reply as he continued to watch him. ________________________________________________________________________________________"You will die one of two ways. Wow, Genzai. Seriously? He smirked. The question Yami asked was one used by the Death Dealers, mostly to know who were allies and who weren't. Ryuji, on the receiving side of the question, was supposed to answer "Because he is afraid to find out what lies within the darkness", as this was customary for all the Death Dealers. However, he just sat there and took a drink of his canister. He didn't like all the formalities that accompanied politics, and since it was made clear that this was the supposed contact Genzai had been talknig about, Ryuji didn't feel it necessary to appear professional.
"Yea yea, darkness, fear, blah blah blah. Name's Ryuji. Lets skip all of the secretive crap and get to the point, eh?" Ryuji tapped the bar, signifying that his canister needed a refill. He was indeed thirsty, and sure enough, hunger was soon approaching. As the bartender appeared, Ryuji held up a hand, trying his best to appear polite. "Also, Mr. Bartender, lemme get some fried fish. Any kind is good, just make sure it has seasoning. Bring me a full plate, and i'll holler if i want more." Ryuji needed food, and while he wasn't sure why he was here, surely it could wait for a few minutes. Ryuji looked back at Yami. He showed no emotion, something that slightly bothered Ryuji. Usually people were so easy to read. Let's see....impatient. Didn't order a drink, so he's probably a bit strict about things like that. Must have spoken to Genzai personally, which means he's important. Genzai never speaks to unimportant people. Sort of a jackass like that. Ryuji smirked once more, finding his tease about his comrade rather amusing. The bartender came back with a full plate of fried fish, the pieces ranging from small to large, the plate wider than expected. Ryuji lightened up as sustenance finally came, and as he took a big bite out of the meal, his eyes nearly rolled back in his head. He loved fish. Ryuji suddenly remembered Yami was sitting next to him, and after going back through his actions, Ryuji decided that he didn't appear professional. Yami had been waiting all this time, hadn't he? Oops
Ryuji gulped, taking in a big chunk out of his piece of fish, and took another drink. "Excuse my manners, i'm just really hungry. "Yes...well. My name is unimportant. Your commander wants you to go to the Water Country and gather intel about what is going on over there. Apparently, there is some kind of demon attack, and he need you to discretely gather information, and then come back to Iwa." Standing up, Yami placed some coins on the table. Yami looked down at the man with an unreadable countenance. There was something about that guy. He had an oddly dark aura that ruffled his feathers. "I would accompany you but you took much longer than I thought so now I must make my way back to Iwa before my kage starts to freak out on me. Goodluck with your mission, and try not to be seen...anyway, I will be leaving now."
